I like some of the games, others I don't. This viewpoint, of course, is based on what I have seen in videos, as I have not played any demos of the game yet. I'm still quite unsure about this game. The one that really stands out is 9-Volt's game, which consists of micro games and pretending to be asleep so ones mother does not kick some butt. I need more information NL!!!!
@ivanmata He is not saying that. All Miyamoto says is that one should start with an idea and that one person, maybe another, should oversee the entire project. Read the article and focus on his quotes. This is the greatest game designer in video game history. He knows gameplay is important.
By the time I'm done with school the Wii U will be 3 years old. Hopefully I can create a game for the system before they move on to the next home console! I definitely want to create handheld titles for Nintendo, but the Wii U would be lovely to work with.
My happy place is something like Happy Gilmore's... but this looks nice too! I can't wait to pick this game up. These change of pace games, like this and Harvest Moon, or so relaxing to me.
That video is nice! It's so cool and really great that they are doing a simultaneous worldwide release. More game developers should strive for that. I feel awfully bad for my EU friends when they have to wait longer than even we in the US have to wait for some Eastern games. Worldwide release FTW! I hope other companies recognize that Game Freak is doing something great with their release plans.
I'm so on the fence with this game my krotch (spelled with a "K" just for the Kongs ) is starting to hurt. I love the original Wii version and I like to support Nintendo, but is it worth another purchase? Especially when this year is just stacked with greatness in video games, many of which are on the 3DS. I'll have to see how my budget is in late May...
I'll pre-order BD:FF right after they officially announce it. It has always reminded me of "The Four Heroes of Light" with a little twist, and I love that game.
I'll more than likely be downloading Toki Tori 2 and portable Castlevania for today. I was thinking about picking up Monster Hunter Ultimate, so if I do that they will have to wait, but I might as well DL TT2 while it is on a bit of a sale, eh?
I voted Pikmin 3 for President, or Prime Minister, or whatever... but most of those games are cool. LoZ:WW HD, Bayonetta 2, and Yarn Yoshi are for sure purchases. If I get Watch_Dogs, which I probably will, I'll get it for Wii U too. I think DuckTales Remastered and ShovelKnight or no doubt eShop games to boot.
@hcfwesker Usually around afternoon on Thursday, but occasionally different when the game is released for multiple platforms.
I actually liked what I read about the game, flaws and all. Furthermore; a score of "7" used to be good in a lot more people's minds than it is nowadays. Why does it seem everyone expects a game to receive a 9 or 10 to be worthy enough for them to play? I've played a few games that received lower scores on the rating spectrum and found them very pleasing. A "7" is still really good, if you bother to take the score into more consideration than the review itself.
Looks like ShovelWare to me... Get it?! lol I'm jk. It looks awesome. I'm glad they are going stereoscopic with the 3DS version! I loved playing the 3D classics. It made them feel new again, and I think this will have that kind of feel visually. Yacht Club Games has done nothing but impress me so far.
NL- "3/10"
Ha! This is what I call licensed garbage. Telltale's take on The Walking Dead is where it is at. Nintendo needs to get in contact with them a.s.a.p. and get their games on the Wii U eShop.
This is so obvious it is ridiculous. I'm not talking about this article (I love NL!). It shouldn't even need to be said by Nintendo, they just need to start making great games and fast. Some awesome new IP's would draw more interest from those "Nintendo only makes Mario games" fools as well. (Make them eat their words, please Big N?) Those who don't realize great games make great systems can't be saved from the oblivion...
I said it before when I read this article earlier; I would have just bought it straight from the person who brought it in. How much can Best Buy be giving people for recycling these types of things? Not much if anything. Obviously the person wanted to get rid of it, so they would gladly take a little cold hard cash for it. Best Buy wouldn't even have known it was brought in if I was that employee. This employee doesn't sound like the sharpest knife in the drawer. Who goes on the web and tells people they are going to steal something before doing it? I'm sure all the best thief's in the world join message boards to share their future aspirations.
I for one (and I suppose a ton of other people by the numbers) am really enjoying LM:DM and I'm only half way through the second mansion! Looks like I need to play more right now... What am I thinking?!
I'm sure Fez is a good game, but Phil Fish is a massive tool. Twitter is not such a good thing for people like him. "Oh wait that made people mad? I did say that but I didn't mean it like I said it... Let me clarify what I said..." You know... Those types who just shouldn't say anything at all.
I have "A Tale of Two Towns 3D" so I don't need any more Harvest Moon, even though that series is awesome. However I will be picking up "The Legend of the River King" sooner or later, as I've never played that one before. It's always nice to save my sister with the help of a legendary river fish...
The original is a great GBC classic, and gets really tough towards the end. I'm really looking forward to playing this! It'll be nice to give my Wii U some action while also supporting the nice guys and girls at Two Tribes
Happy Birthday 3DS! I picked up an original model right after they announced the price drop and have loved it ever since. 16 games later and I'm pretty happy with Nintendo's latest handheld. Their most recent first party game Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon is a great addition to my 3DS library of games. I just bought the Pikachu Edition XL on Sunday and have been very happy with that and it's larger screens. If Nintendo released a Black or White XL model I'll get that too. I guess my money spent shows how much I love this handheld system. Here's to at least a few more years even better than the first two!
Nice EU! I got my piece last night. It's hard for me to meet people on streetpass though. Small town, I'm 26 and only a few of my friends have a 3DS. There loss for not being gamers I say!
@Zaphod_Beeblebrox First of all I love your name. Douglas Adams is a huge inspiration to me as a person and "Hitchhiker's Guide" and the sequels are brilliant works of art. Second of all, to answer your question, you get them from somebody else who already has them through streetpass (walking around with your 3DS in your pocket it picks up other peoples 3DS' and shares some noninvasive info). Welcome to the 3DS community friend!
@Bragoon I've never gotten a purple one to start! You cheatin'? lol jk buddy.
Wow, probably the most comments I've ever seen on an article on this site haha. This is great news though! I remember playing the original games and I loved that show when I was a kid, plus Wayforward is a solid developer. That adds up to goodness.
EU friends: This game is amazing. I've logged so many hours doing the main quest, side-quests, paralogues, DLC, ect... It is ridiculous. Easily 50+ hours and I'm not even done with the main quest yet. They aren't just filler hours either, they are time well spent with a very quality game. Enjoy it when it comes your way
I love Nintendo, but that was them acting like "big brother", which is unnecessary. I'm glad they removed the time of day restrictions and I am also happy for my EU friends who had to stay up until the wee hours of the night to get "18+" rated games. Parents should be responsible for their children's actions, not Nintendo.
Great news, and good looking out NL. The original is such an under appreciated classic on the GBC. I've been looking forward to this since they first announced it.
I completely agree Tom. I, along with most other people I have to believe, would take Tomb Raider over Deus Ex. I just can't understand why they would want to waste time working on an almost two year old game when they could have been working on something much greater and more relevant. It kind of makes me sad honestly, haha.

Re: Nintendo Working On Wii Remote Fast Charging Battery Pack
If the price is right I'd invest in this. Constantly buying batteries can get old, though I don't use the Wii remotes as much as I used to.
Re: Agatsuma Plans To Release Farewell Umihara Kawase Outside Japan
That is good news! This game seems kind of fishy, in a good way.

I think the sole answer as to why this is on the 3DS is the stereoscopic 3D.
Maybe if we all pool our "hurry up Sunday!" wishes together we can fast forward time! tries to wish real hard
