Re: Pokémon Presents Announced For 27th February, 2026

PerfectFrost

@the_beaver I'd guess not until June. Skipping an early year Direct just makes sense since they already have so much announced. They just need to give some additional detailes and release dates for whatever titles are releasing through July via Nintendo Today trailers and or a single game Direct and we're good until June.

@TrogdorTheBurninator I would try actually looking at the Nintendo games currently announced for the year then. Because we know of 7 Nintendo games releasing this year which is actually a lot to be already announced at this point in the year and they all look incredible to me at least. But if all you're looking for is the next 3D Mario or Zelda then yeah I guess you're not getting what you want quite yet.

Re: Third-Party Launch Games On Switch 2 Reportedly Sold "Very Low Numbers"

PerfectFrost

I think it was a big mistake for 3rd parties to port so many older games instead of more recent games from early this year or late last year. The kind of games that many may have missed but are still top of mind would have done much better imo. Metaphor is a personal example where I would have gotten that for Switch 2 at launch as I missed it last year but still very much intent to get around to it eventually.

@Paulo If this is the world view you are choosing to see things through then that's how you'll see it I guess but in reality this is nothing out of the ordinary. More powerful system with some gimmicks thrown in like dual mouse controlls. Very normal to be honest, especially for their handhelds, but if that's how you feel then that's how you feel.

Re: PSA: You Can Still Play One Game Across Two Switches, But Not Online Anymore

PerfectFrost

@shgamer Previously you had a primary system and a secondary system and now whatever system you have the virtual game card loaded into acts as the primary system for that game and allows offline play. you can still launch the game on other systems without having the virtual game card loaded by just doing a quick online check when launching the game. You need to turn online licenese on in the user settings first though.

Re: Talking Point: Everyone Else Is Busy Revealing Switch 2 - What Gives, Nintendo?

PerfectFrost

Everyone acting like things leaking about the system is going to hurt it are out of their minds. The amount of people that are on the internet looking at leaked gaming info is such an extreme minority of people who already had their mind made up about buying it or not. Same thing happens with the big name phone brands and yet the vast majority of people find out about it only when it's officially announced and it has no impact on sales. Everyone needs to cool it imo
