@JimmySpades Looking at your comment history, SLIGEACH is right. It's not a lie if when he said it, it was true. Past tense. Also he was expressing his own opinion and making a joke. Nothing wrong with that as far as I can see.
It's a shame but big online shops like Amazon have a much larger stock and often sell games cheaper than physical stores. I don't have an indie shop near me, but I would support them if I could.
@UmbreonsPapa No problem at all, thanks for re-responding. I have that issue too, but it only acts up about once an hour, so I'll pass until I have money to burn. Thanks a lot.
@ShadJV @Wolfy76700 Ok, sure, I understand that the game is good with buttons (used buttons for a while during the testpunch) but I personally felt that the motion controls were a perfect fit for the game, which complemented a good concept, and game, and because of how well they fit the game, I felt that they were integral to the experience. If you disagree, that's fine, each to their own.
@Equinox I'm in Europe too, and I've never had issues finding a match, it never takes more than a minute at most, and I've tried different modes and times of day with no problems. I use Europe only matchmaking and allow cross platform play (standard settings). Maybe allow multiple regions and cross platform play if you haven't already?
Genwunner alert! But in all seriousness, I think that in recent years of Pokemon, especially in USUM, some things feel a bit too silly, and in some areas of the game the challenge factor is totally lost. For example (I haven't actually played USUM, but this is what it seems like), "Don the magic sunglasses to join the battle agency!" or "Here, have free shinies and BP for playing minigames!" I don't like the emphasis on using certain Pokemon through Mega Evolution and exclusive Z-Moves and the pacing of the story is a bit slow for my liking too. Everything else is fine though.
By the way, it said on the original BBC article about gaming addiction that a very small number of people, about 50 a year I recall, suffer from this 'disorder'.
Wow... 5 hours of battery life... I can use my joycons for 2-3 days of fairly long play sessions before swapping them over to my other set of joycons... On a side note, would anyone recommend a Pro controller as opposed to joycons and standard grip? I was thinking of getting the Xenoblade one, because I like the look of it, but am quite content with my 4 joycons and grip already, so I can't decide. Thanks.
Thanks Thomas! Playing MK8DX with you was a lot of fun (even if I was awful at it) in the NL tournament. Great writing, and good luck at Circle, I hope that you have a ball there!
Cor... Tough choice. Splatoon 2 is my most played game (320+ hours), and Stardew Valley has allowed me to have some great conversations with my non-nintendo appreciating friends, who I never really had anything in common with before. In the end, however, I went for Zelda, as it delivered a sensational gameplay experience, which absolutely blew me away, even with my tremendous expectations for it. And I haven't even bought the Zelda DLC yet.
This DLC can't come soon enough. I decided to wait until Christmas to get Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and now I'm stuck clearing out my Switch, 3DS and Wii backlogs...
"For about as long as game consoles have existed, players have had to choose between gaming in front of a TV or holding a tiny screen in their hands while out and about. Not so with the Nintendo Switch, the first console that’s truly designed for both at-home and on-the-go entertainment."
@DanElectrode There is a glitch I found when capturing a Charging Chuck on one life, I killed it, it was respawning and I threw Cappy out past it so that it could possess the Charging Chuck on it's return flight, and just as iit respawned, it killed me and Cappy flew back at the same time, so I saw the death animation, but there was a Mario Hat on the Charging Chuck as if I had possessed it.
@dew12333 I agree with that, but Hughesy's point was that the Pokemon, which is a kids franchise, Happy Meals are in the UK. Anyway, I've had enough of this conversation, so not to be rude, but I'd rather like it to end.
@dew12333 Ah, that is true, and ironically so as you pointed out. Hughesy's point still stands, however, as even though we aren't the most obese country in Europe, we do rank pretty high. Good research skills by the way.
This news is a bit late... Anyway, team cold all the way. A cold breakfast feels to me more like breakfast than another meal. Besides... In the time that you save, you could play a turf war.

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend?
Splatoon and Odyssey. Still haven’t played Luigi’s Balloon World...
Re: The Luna Blaster Neo Will Explode Onto The Splatoon 2 Scene This Weekend
@BenAV Yeah, thought so. Ink mines are a bit too passive for the Luna Blaster.
Re: The Luna Blaster Neo Will Explode Onto The Splatoon 2 Scene This Weekend
Is the set better than the standard Luna Blaster’s? I’m genuinely curious about what people think.
Re: Zany Sports Title Nippon Marathon Sprints Onto Switch This Autumn
What did I just witness?
Re: YouTubers Bring The Pain In The Wacky World Of Subscribe & Punch!
8 playable characters out of millions of Youtubers? Pass.
Re: Deals: Detective Pikachu amiibo And More Great Bargains On Nintendo UK Store
I'm more excited about the amiibo than the game, to be honest.
Re: Cross Platform Parties Are Coming To Rocket League This Year
Nice. Having to make a private room to play with my Xbox One friends is annoying.
Re: Random: This Japanese Kid Was Living The Nintendo Labo Dream In October Last Year
I wonder how you could do the Custom E-Liter 4K Scope (my main)...
Re: Labo's Cardboard Revolution Adds Almost $1.4 billion to Nintendo's Value
A crafty move on Nintendo's part.
Re: Nintendo Download: 18th January (Europe)
Might have to get the Xenoblade DLC... Other than that, nothing terribly interesting.
Re: Nintendo Is Announcing "A New Way To Play" Later Today
Ok then. Interesting to see how it could be implemented into some games.
Re: Nintendo Is Announcing "A New Way To Play" Later Today
Where?
Did I stay up for nothing?
Re: Nintendo Is Announcing "A New Way To Play" Later Today
D-Pad Joycons?
Don't really desire them, but that's my guess.
Re: Splatoon 2 Version 2.2.0 Is Now Live
@GoldenGamer88 They got nerfed. The number refers to how many points you need to get before you can get your special.
Re: GameStop Tweets About Nintendo Direct, Then Quickly Deletes The Tweet
The Direct will be the biggest thing announced at the Direct .

Re: ARMS Keeps On Swinging Thanks To A Group Of Dedicated Fans
@Wolfy76700 Really? Most people use a controller? That's a shame. The motion controls seem like the lifeblood of the game...

Nice, another Global Splatfest. I'm not that fond of films, but I'll go with team action.

Re: Soapbox: What The Upcoming Pokémon Switch RPG Can Learn From Recent Pokémon Games
A Ni No Kuni -esque battle system could work really well in Pokemon I think. Seems to be what everyone requesting a battle system overhaul wants.

Re: Random: The Ouya Pad Lives On As A Knock-Off Nintendo Switch Pro Controller
@UmbreonsPapa Thanks. How much better is it compared to 2 joycons and a grip?
Re: Random: The Switch Actually Says "Good Night" When You Put It To Sleep
How about a bedtime story?
...Being Xenoblade Chronicles 2 of course.

Gaming addition... So apparently if I count the number of games that I own, I have a mental disorder?
EDIT: It's been fixed now.

I'm probably missing something, but what is the tagline referring to?
Re: Brawlout Has Passed 50k Sales on the Switch
Same as above. If Smash Bros. for Switch is revealed soon, then I don't think that sales will climb in the coming weeks.

Nice. I just 100%ed the game. That eastern pillar one took me half an hour to do, haha.

@dew12333 In Europe, yes we are. Europe's obesity league (taken from https://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/loseweight/Pages/statistics-and-causes-of-the-obesity-epidemic-in-the-UK.aspx):
UK: 24.9%
Ireland: 24.5%

Germany: 21.3%
Belgium: 19.1%
Austria: 18.3%
