The lovely folks over at CIRCLE Entertainment are teaming up with developer Vakman to publish the charmingly named Alchemic Cutie on the Switch eShop next year. Vakman is a talented team led by Thomas Cashman and Sebastien Vakerics.
Alchemic Cutie has already been warmly received following indie booth showcases at events such as Gamescom and EGX in 2018. It is a relaxing adventure RPG set on colourful Wimba Island; while taming wild jellies you’ll meet villagers, enter jelly competitions and uncover the secrets of the island.
Each jelly has uniquely generated stats and traits, while there are over 4000 visual styles. You can tame, breed, and raise the perfect jelly companions, competing in heated jelly competitions for the top prize. And to really boost your jelly’s abilities, use alchemy to create special items with powerful effects or morph items into something rare. All the while exploring, completing quests and mingling with the island’s goofy, fun and quirky inhabitants to form lasting friendships and rivalries.
The game is targeting a 2019 release, but players can start to explore and enjoy Alchemic Cutie right now. Players are encouraged to Join the Cutie Club where they can sign up for the Alpha on PC, Mac and Linux. It’s a chance to see a little of the gorgeous island in the game, collect some jellies and also contribute to ideas and improvements for the game.

Stardew clones and...... Kero Keroppi ?
very "Minish Cap"-esque
I hope when Nintendo finally releases an Animal Crossing game on Switch it doesn't look like a 3DS port.
Why did they make the C look like an E in the game's title? Strange. This makes me want to load up Stardew Valley again... it's been a while.
I like the large area shown at once in the game and how the pixel art is small on the screen. I mean, it's all strangely appealing and lives up to the name "cutie". Has potential.
For me, I have yet to give Stardew Valley a go. Maybe this Summer.
I love 16 bit'ish artstyles. <3
@rjejr I mean... it won't look TOO different. The Animal Crossing art style hasn't really changed that much since Wild World.
Very stardew valley looking
@TeslaChippie "The Animal Crossing art style"
If it can look like this on Wii U it should look even better on Switch.
Im looking forward too this
@rjejr I'm just saying, if you rendered New Leaf at 1080p (which you can do on an emulator), it looks pretty damn great. Crank up the texture resolution and it's probably about what the Switch game will look like.
I never got the "this better not be a port" thing with Smash Ultimate, either. It's like... What's the difference between a brand new Smash game, and a port of the last Smash game but with added characters? Basically nothing. The same is true of Animal Crossing. Whether it's a port or a brand new game, it's gonna share like 90% of its content with previous AC games. That's just how Animal Crossing works.
@TeslaChippie "That's just how Animal Crossing works."
I take it you haven't played AC: amiibo Festival?
jk, I know it's a spin-off. I own it, and graphics are probably the best part of the entire game. Well at least the part I got to play, most of it is locked behind some type of lock I haven't managed to unlock yet.
@Anti-Matter Exactly what I thought.
Anyone Else Getting Minish Cap vibes form this?
