I love this idea, a good excuse to keep the switch 1 hooked up to TV and maybe it'll even help switch 1 continue to sell. If someone buys a 2 and doesn't already have a 1

Still feel it was weird to do this just before the switch 2 direct, cause now I'm thinking there's plenty still to play on switch 1 so no rush to upgrade 😅

@Gazzils pretty sure the voice over guy said 15 playable character so definitely a handful more to be revealed plus as you say I'd imagine there'd be post launch dlc. With a character library as vast as marvel there's so much potential for additional content

Decent enough for a direct that I had low expectations for because of course they're saving the big stuff for switch 2. I'm excited for marvel cosmic Invasion love the art style and I love marvel. And the pokemon trailer got me more interested in that it, as a casual pokemon fan who doesn't play all the games I think this will be one I pick up

I think it was decent enough, I expect more from them next year as it's the 30th anniversary plus the switch 2 will be out by then so they can start announcing projects for that

I'm expecting somewhere between £350-£400. In which case I'll probably buy shortly after release not day one maybe a few months later assuming there's no supply chain issues or faults with the console at launch. If it's more than that I'd probably wait longer. I imagine they'll want to under cut the ps5 to avoid directly competing with them. Digital ps5 is currently £390 so £350 sounds good, £300 would be amazing

@OorWullie I'd shocked if they got GTA VI to run on switch 2, if we get anything from Rockstar for switch 2, I'd put my money on a RDR 2 port.
As exciting as it is that more recent releases might make it to this new console, I hope it doesn't stop Devs from making games that push the PS5 to it's full potential, I can see them making less powerful games for the purposes of getting them to run on switch 2 as well as PS5

This isn't surprising, I think much like the switch received many ports of ps2/3 era games, the switch 2 will get ps4 era ports especially if the reports of it being roughly the same power as a ps4 are true. It's an easy way for the publishers to make an extra bit of money from pre existing games and gives us an opportunity to have some older favourites in a portable format or a chance to play something you might have missed first time around

Pleeeaase I've been waiting for a new rayman game since legends it's been 10 years! Every time ubisoft have one of their E3-esque events I hope for news and it never happens. I don't understand why they've left this series so dormant after the acclaim that origins and legends got

Looking forward to this loved the first LiS, didn't enjoy the sequels as much as and I think that's because I didn't enjoy the characters. Will likely play this on PS5 instead of switch though but it's nice that the option is there

No this whole xbox games coming to other consoles thing made me realise why I've never had an xbox. their games simply don't interest me. Nintendo and playstation both have a far more consistent hit rate of first party titles

Wouldn't be surprised if this gets released on the switch and the new console. Like a "it runs on both but it's at it's best on the new console" situation which might be why they didn't want to show gameplay

Love this. After the EA reboots I didn't think we'd ever see these versions on console again! Would love a full remaster at some point but I'll settle for the re-release for now 😁

I loved generations and have been hoping for some sort of sequel for awhile but this will do, shadow stuff looks interesting almost like a reimaging of the ps2 game

I'd like to see it added, but it's not essential for me this only really comes up when travelling, I take the switch for gaming and a tablet for TV, so if the switch successor had the apps it would eliminate the need for the tablet. But it's not much of an inconvenience

@TanookiLeaf I hope it leads to my boy Crash finally making it to a smash bros. Being able have a match between mario, sonic and crash would blow my inner child's mind

I just don't want Nintendo to make a new console just to resell me all the same games and based on how many ports we've had I wouldn't put it past them, Iif switch 2 isn't backwards compatible.

Very much felt like the end of a console cycle, no big projects lots of ports and remasters to keep the fans going which is fine, mario wonder will get them decent holiday sales and then I think that peach game will be the last proper new Nintendo game built for switch.

A new Donkey kong country and a tease for the final wave for mario kart 8 dlc and I'll be content. A new mario sports title would be fun but as you said us mario fans are already doing well with plenty of stuff upcoming.
Would love to see the new hardware but think people are right in saying that'll be at the next direct in the first part of next year for a holiday 2024 release

I always thought scorpion would have been a perfect guest character for playstation all stars back when that was a thing. Think he would fit in easier next to playstation's roster

When they said 2D at first I was a little disappointed but the trailer won me over looks like they're trying different stuff, I like when Nintendo embraces the wacky ideas. Still would have loved an odyssey sequel but this will do

Bathroom track is a bit random but I dig the design, gave me micro machine flashbacks

I'm a platformer fan and IMHO legends and origins are two of the best platformers in recent memory would love a sequel. Everytime there's a ubisoft event I hope for something rayman related so I'll take this dlc hopefully it's the start of another reboot for rayman
