Re: Resident Evil 2, 3 And 7 Cloud Lock In Nintendo Switch Release Dates

I saw plague tale in the eshop yesterday at full retail price for a cloud game...it's an absolute joke.

I'd also wager that, if you cannot afford the machine capable of running these games natively then you almost certainly won't have the infrastructure needed to run these cloud versions at a capable level.

The sooner these cloud games go the way of Stadia, the better.

Re: Hades Is Getting Its Very Own Power-A Switch Controller

@ItsjustAnotherGamer funnily enough I've never used a pro controller in all the years I have had a switch. Generally made do with majority portable play and then with the joycons in docked mode. I bought a Nano as a 'compromise' and the d-pad certainly is very much that.

@Mr-Fuggles777 yes but can you play 120fps while taking a s***? On an actual toilet? Jokes aside I get your point...I'm not great at these games as don't have the time to dedicate to them, so as a casual gamer I won't mind too much about the drop to 30fps.

Also to mitigate this didn't Fortnites matchmaking bias Switch users together so the advantage levelled out a bit?

30gb is a big lump but I'll give it a go no doubt.

Re: Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake Takes Flight This Year

Absolutely will be diving in to this.

The first game was decent if not perfect and the patches lifted the quality - it's a great game. Hopefully the devs have learned from the experience and Zwei will launch without imperfections.

Really looking forward to this one.

Its a great game. When launched it wasn't as good as the original, no, but it was a competent on rails shooter.

The aiming mechanic was off compared to the Saturn game but you could easily get used to it. Performance was perfectly fine at 30fps. Since the updates its sharper visually and with its controls too and feels more natural aiming and turning through the 90 degree views. I'm on board with developers that take feedback and improve games, let's face it there are plenty of switch devs that do not.

If you don't like this sort of game then no drama, give it a miss, but if you have affection for the original its well worth a buy - as long as you expect a reimagining not a 1:1 replica.

Ion Fury...more like Ion-Furiating...30fps is a joke for a game based on a 25 year old game engine for crying out loud. Wish I'd have known before pre ordering. That'll teach me to wait for reviews I guess. Should have just gone with pc version instead.

Re: We're Tired Of Waiting For Nintendo's Switch Car Mount, So This One Will Do

@YourGoodFriendly let it go mate, I have.

I can't wait to put my switch in my new headrest mount. This s*** beats Xmas all day long.

If you want news go read the daily mail. This is a Nintendo site, that is a (3rd party) Nintendo product. Thus relevant. I didn't once suggest it was a news article my pedigree chum, you seem to be the one obsessed with this point.

All this on a device the size of a small (2 year old) tablet. The obsession of comparing this and other games to the platforms they originated on is not fair (although I understand the desire to know how they run, they should be judged on their own right) and takes away from the remarkable feat of programming to getting such a game on the device.

I know it will look prettier on PC/PS4 Pro. But I won't be able to play this while sat on the toilet on those platforms so swings and roundabouts.
