I got no mans sky on nintendo switch. Looks a bit blurry but its no mans sky on switch and on the go. One thing I noticed though which was a bit annoying is there is very little asteroids, like whenever I found some there was only like 1-2 at a time. On pc/consoles there are 100's in the one area. I don't really care for multiplayer on no mans sky for switch. At times the game looks really good but then at times it looks horrid. Im trying to work out if the game looks worse if playing on OLED in vivid mode or standard. The game is naturally vivid already and I feel having the switch on vivid could be too much.
Problem I see is if they just make a more powerful version on a switch then its basically a overpriced steam deck thats less powerful. I think they're going to have to think of something amazing not just more power. You can already emulate switch games on steam deck and I think nintendo is actually quite annoyed with the steam deck.
I'm quite interested on how well this game will run and look. Even on my xbox series S is lags all the time lol but still playable and looks great. Maybe they're implementing that AMD FSR?
@NinjaNicky I think you may be wrong about that. Just looked it up and apparently the PS3 has 203 GFlops and the switch has 1 Teraflop making the PS3 5 times slower than the switch
@NinjaNicky Well to be fair the switch is a handheld not a console. I don't think it would have been possible putting all the power into a switch with its design as powerful as a ps4 back in 2017
With the steam deck everytime I see someone using one on youtube its like they have to have it sitting on their lap with the head and neck facing down hunched. I mean if you have to always play it like that might as well get a laptop. I think most people don't buy nintendo switch for the performance but they buy it for the software and because there is no stuffing around, it just works.
I don't get why they always blame shortage. I have bought the normal switch and OLED with no issues of finding one here in AUS. Pretty much every shop has stock and in fact they lowered the price because there isn't enough demand
I used IR to trade but it was a bit of a nightmare compared to using a cable because you had to lay both gameboys perfectly flat and still pointing at each others IR.
This is good news. I had a ps vita oled and got bad burn in. The whole screen looked green when the picture was black in a dark room. I guess technology has advanced and i guess thats why ps vita from from oled to lcd
For me pokemon sword/shield are the worst pokemon games. I feel it was rushed out for the switch release. It also made me realise that pokemon needs to change which it why i got good hope for pokemon legends arceus. Pokemon has become like cod in a way of just releasing the same game over and over with a few differences in each.
Problem though is it apparently takes 2 weeks for patches to grow through to nintendo. So once a patch is ready we have to wait 2 weeks for each patch to go though, thats what I heard from an indie dev. Might be different for AAA devs.
@Laserbeak1982 You're kinda wrong. There is videos showing that there is massive input lags that actually make the game unplayable because you keep crashing into things due to the input lag and unable to hit any targets using manual aim. Pop ins when cars/people literally pop into the game right in front of you only for you to crash into them. Failing missions due to lag is also what I have seen.
Funny because i played this game on xbox series S and that too has performance issues with this game while in performance mode. I played it on gamepass so no big loss. I guess we'll have to wait for patches. It also has the pop in issue on xbox series S.
Though to be fair gta vice city stories ran bad on psp and i loved that but that was back in the day
Well guess might as well get it digitally then. I think mortal kombat 11 was the same though. I bought the mk11 physical and still had like a 25gb download. So either the game wasn't on the physical cartridge or the game was that big it couldn't fit it all on there.
But it struggles to play its own exclusives so no this is garbage talk. Look at hyrule warriors age of calamity. Its notorious for running bad. Also look at dragon quest builders 2 when there are lots of builds the game dips to like 5 frames per second, its a joke. It does need just a little bit of a hardware upgrade.
I was able to get one today without any troubles in australia. Just look at it this way and is how I see it. If you get burn in then im pretty sure nintendo will have to repair it for free since its on them.
Yes I am worried. Reason is because I have had it happen before on my old ps vita which was permanent and is the reason sony changed to lcd because it was a very common thing. I also had it happen surprisingly on a LCD tv. I had the channel 7 logo imprinted on the screen but was able to get most of it off the tv by keeping the tv off for a few days strait. Using things like auto brightness defeats the purpose of the OLED switch. It makes it look too dark and cant see anything.

@5th313ment Nah not on tv on the OLED switch itself. Its in the settings>system settings change from vivid to standards and vice versa
