The problem is that the guy they pay to code VC puts in minimal effort if not none at all

Nintendo obviously aren't making enough cash on their VC, that's why they don't bother releasing anything. SEGA has already beat them to a pulp as far as showing who has the better old school games while knocking Nintendo out cold with the best emulation & options along with working hard to deliver what the fans really want from a VC service... Unfortunately I can only play these great SEGA efforts on the crappy 3DS because I would prefer them on Wii U instead
