I think it was my review of this game that initially kicked all of this off. I think I was one of the first published reviews for it and basically slaughtered the game for it's horrific performance. The devs were really confused by my experience, later it turned out it doesn't work well with an external hard drive. I had to do an update review and video. What a day's work that was!
Edit: The game's actually a decent co-op game (when it's installed on internal memory)
Happy New Year NintendoLife. Thanks for being the first site I check every time I boot up a browser. And especial thanks for eShop updates, they've been incredibly useful in my own foray into gaming reviews. (They tell me which publishers to sniff around for review codes). It's helped me so much, you've no idea.
Wow, that's pretty packed. I'm hoping to do a review on at least one of those Wii U downloads, but we'll see if the PR Gods shine upon me for a review code.
Atrocious. I bought Rainbow Painbrush for less than that when it was released, like £18 and I bought Codename: STEAM a few days ago for £5 from amazon.
Well, 3D World is tempting considering physical of that game will be a bit more expensive. But I'm going wait for a better deal. Hoping there's going to be a big sale on VC games.
I had hoped downloading the data packs would make the files size of the full game smaller (so it would be quicker to download day 1). It's going to be like 2 days before I can play the game with my download rate.
In my review I thought it was more inoffensive than terrible. It's got its issues but the more I played it, the more I started to appreciate it. Don't get me wrong, not good, but generally inoffensive. I actually thought Frantic mode was a little addictive like a mobile game.
Yeah, the loading screens are annoying but I still enjoyed it, my review was a bit more positive than this one. It's more about the story, which is really rather decent, rather than the gameplay.
With my level of Chinese (which Japanese use a lot of their characters) I can see the title 自動 or simplified to 自动 means automatic, do something by itself. SMM players should remember these.
It's a game that's difficult to assign a rating to though, since it's certainly not for everybody and yet others may love it. Although in my review I didn't say I loved it, just enjoyed it for what it is.
Totally forgot this game existed until now. Thanks for the nostalgic flashback. Can't remember a whole lot about it, but I know I sunk many hours into it. And at the time I'm pretty sure my young eyes were blown away by how realistic it seemed.

"The slowdown certainly doesn't make the game unplayable in any way"
It's borderline unplayable at best.

Re: Review: RV-7 My Drone (3DS eShop)
I did a review of this too. I thought for the price, it's a pretty decent purchase although it does have a few problems.

Look through their reddit AMA, you might want to update the article to say that it's currently for NA only.
Re: Review: Ocean Runner (3DS eShop)
It's not a bad game to be honest.

Re: Video: Learn About the Intriguing History of Castlevania
Wow, that video gave me sensory overload. I can understand things without needing a bouncing picture for EVERYTHING.
Re: Review: Word Party (Wii U eShop)
My review was pretty similar. High price for a cheaply made game lacing in content and options.

No pre-download for XCX?

I have mine ready for this year, unfortunately not Nintendo or gaming related. Maybe next year...

Re: Guide: The Best Black Friday Nintendo Deals in the UK
That's the most expensive Kirby price i've seen in a while. It's usually sub-£20.
EDIT: http://www.thegamecollection.net/sale/christmas/kirby-and-the-rainbow-paintbrush-wii-u.html
£18
Re: Europeans Will Be Able To Download Xenoblade Chronicles X's Data Packs Early Next Week
@manu0 I live in central China with a UK Wii U. Physical would take weeks haha.
Re: Europeans Will Be Able To Download Xenoblade Chronicles X's Data Packs Early Next Week
@RennanNT Nintendo of Europe have yet to do that with any game as far as I'm aware of.

Thanks for the info.

So how about if you plan on downloading the game?
Re: Review: Totem Topple (Wii U eShop)
@JamesCoote I assume it's a joke based on Square Enix changing the Native Indian costume in Bravely Default 2. Don't worry.
Re: Acclaimed 3DS Shooter Steel Empire Finally Cleared For European Landing
Great news! Wanted to get my hands on this for a long time. The price is pretty eye watering though.

Re: Review: Typoman (Wii U eShop)
@TimLatshaw Thanks for the heads up about my site. I've made that oversight far too many times.
Re: Review: Typoman (Wii U eShop)
In my review, I thought it was one of the best games I've played all year.
Re: Nintendo Download: 19th November (Europe)
I'm currently in the middle of my Typoman review. Guys, get it.

Re: Cutie Pets Pick Berries Brings Provocative Mandeer Action to the Wii U eShop on 22nd October
I was asked to review this. Shame I only have a European Wii U. It looks awesomely creepy.

Depends on the pricing. Ain't gonna be cheap that's for sure.
Re: Review: Nova-111 (Wii U eShop)
Well i enjoyed it in my review. It sounds like you loved it though!
Re: Review: Star Sky (Wii U eShop)
I guess I enjoyed it more than you.
It's a game that's difficult to assign a rating to though, since it's certainly not for everybody and yet others may love it. Although in my review I didn't say I loved it, just enjoyed it for what it is.
Re: Collectors Rejoice, Rare amiibo Figures Are Getting Restocked
@Sanicranfast It wasn't? I swear I saw it in Grainger games before.
Re: The Miiverse Redesign Has Gone Live
Mine still looks exactly the same on the web...
Re: Nintendo of Europe Confirms Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Bundles and amiibo Pack Details
The only thing that puts me off this game is the random card aspects. It's ridiculous.
Re: Limitations on Console Manufacturing and Sales Lifted in China
I've said it numerous times before. If you wanted to buy a game console in China, you could.

Re: Video: You are Hereby Ordered To Surrender Nearly Three Hours Of Your Life To Game Boy Title Screens
Haven't you posted this before?
Re: This Castlevania Super NES May Be The Spookiest Console Yet
It's not a model 2. It's Either a PAL SNES or a Super Famicom. Both of which look great compared to the sickly lilac NA SNES.
Those multi coloured A, B, X, Y buttons were my childhood.
