Android and Steam gamers might remember Dungeon Hearts from a few years back - a strategy puzzle title which mixed strategy and music elements to create a pretty unique experience.
Indie studio Wolfgame is now updating the game exclusively for the Wii U eShop under the title Dungeon Hearts DX. Boasting a reworked interface and new game engine, Dungeon Hearts DX is expected to hit the Wii U eShop in February.
Wolfgame promises a revamped interface, Miiverse stamps, off-TV play, a new tavern "hub", free post-launch updates, new songs, additional mini-games and possible support for amiibo - that last point is very much undecided at present, though.
You can check out the reveal trailer for the original Dungeon Hearts below. In the meantime, the developer has a Patreon page where you can pledge your support to future projects.

I'm not encouraged by this. The standard version sells for almost nothing during sales and the reviews aren't great
Might buy it, but I do think for me the match 3 mechanic feels better on the 3DS I think, as I think I would prefer to play Xenoblade Chronicles X on my Wii U or Super Mario RPG ;^^. (European).
Still I wish the developers good luck and hopefully they will cover the basic costs at least :+).
Looks way too 'mobile' to me, which is understandable I guess. I don't know, we'll see after reviews go up.
Look through their reddit AMA, you might want to update the article to say that it's currently for NA only.
Doesn't look bad, though other commenters say PC version didn't do well. We'll see.
Looks interesting. I'm a sucker for puzzle games.
Looks interesting, reminds me of Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes a little bit, but the scrolling throws me off.
Once again - I am disappoint.
Looks interesting. I'll keep an eye on it.
Nice, I'll be keeping an eye for it next month. I'm not a fan of the PC version but that was mostly due the mouse/touchpad controls. Personally I think this was made for touch devices.
The concept looks like a Match-3 version of Theatrhythm, and while it looks interesting, and the characters look nicely designed, the art style looks underwhelming, so I'll have to wait and see. I would agree with others that this looks better suited for 3DS play, and maybe we'll get a 3DS version as well.
Oooh! Looks good! As long as it is not over the 5 dollar peak that some games start at I may get it.
It looks decent enough. The Steam version is $3. I'll probably pick it up for Wii U when it's on sale since it'll probably release at a stupidly high price point like $10-15 or something like other mobile to Wii U conversions. I'll grab it if/when it's reasonably priced.
I may check this out all depending on price etc.
