@Grafeaux You bring up a good point about how it's easier to learn when you're growing up with it, but when I think about my nephews (one in kindergarten, one in second grade), they play a lot of games, and they struggle to control the camera. In my opinion, it's a steep learning curve for them.

Bought Splatoon a couple days ago. Only been able to play about an hour. Not bad so far. First major impression: These controls seem complex for the audience (kids) it's being marketed for.

A lot of people's comments are based on the assumption that the video is promoting Nintendo to sell their games on mobile. To these people: read the description of MarioLinkSamus' video:

Mobile games are here to stay, but as long as dedicated handheld gaming devices exist, mobile games will only be watered-down experiences comparatively.

Great news. I've been Shoveling with my Knight on Wii U, and it would be groundbreaking to be able to do that on my 3DS for free.

I'm not worried. The single-player campaign will still be in tact. This is a bonus to me.

@arnoldlayne83 That would be a really nice incentive to start collecting amiibos. Maybe with each copy of Smash you get one secret, random amiibo.

Won't be surprised if a price cut happens at the end of the year in time for Smash.
