People should calm down. He basically says that they'd be willing to leave consoles behind if home consoles would actually die as it was predicted years ago. That's all. And that they're interested in the mobile market isn't stupid either from a business perspective. Do I want it? No. Do I understand that they need to keep that door open because they're a business? Sure.

I highly doubt that Overwatch would run well on Switch. It wouldn't be comparable to the other versions (especially when it comes to fps) and so most people wouldn't care. Crossplay would be the interesting part and that would put Switch players at an disadvantage. I'd skip Overwatch and just stick to Paladins instead.

Art direction should have been GRIS. There's no game that looks better this year. And my favorite for 2018 Nintendo wise has got to be Paladins. Great game, awesome for multiplayer and it's fun solo. There's no game I spent more time with in 2018. I put 300 hours into it.

Gonna (probably) finish GRIS and in between that I'll play Paladins (on Switch) and some World of Warcraft.

The Switch better start outselling every other console. I mean they're 5 years old. The Switch is (at least for now) the new kid on the block. They need to show dominance to make people and most importantly investors forget about the Wii U.

I'd love to see some news on Bayonetta 3. Played both games for the first time on Switch and I loved them. And other than that a new Switch exclusive 3rd party announcement would be awesome but I won't hold my breath. I'm just gonna relax and enjoy the show.

@Wexter Compared to this mess Skyrim is a masterpiece, thought. Bethesda is capable of delivering great games. But they really need to get rid of the Creation Engine. Otherwise their titles will always be at least a bit messy. And that won't do anymore after 76.

@frabbit The core problem won't change. And that's the creation engine. A lot of the problems are caused by it. And the lack of content/boring content is something they can fix. It just takes time. Question is if people Wil give it a shot when that time comes. Or even a second shot.

@nocdaes the performance of Battlefield V isn't surprising at all. Every single bit of news about it was negative. The delay, marketing backlash, EAs ongoing image problems. Probably all reasons why people opted for CoD instead. The release so long after Black Ops 4 must have hurt the most.

@nocdaes UK isn't even the biggest gaming market in Europe. And if we keep in mind that we already know that Battlefield V didn't do that well, yeah 90000 seems appropriate.

@Kalmaro could be hard to remove the motion controls since it's so deeply integrated in pretty much everything in this game.

@Draxa nope I wouldn't say that. TLOZ is my favorite gaming franchise and its look changes all the time. I'm not attached to the look of Pokémon. You should just be able to tell which one's which. And I also don't expect gen 8 to be like BotW. They don't have enough time for that. And I'm not sure if that would be the right direction for Pokémon.

@Cosats You say personal opinions are personal opinions and then you go on to generalize your opinion.
If my experience was "damn, that looks underwhelming, then it is. If you see it differently that's fine. But don't tell me that my experience is false.
Also, Pokémon games always pushed their own limits and those of the hardware they were released on. This game doesn't. They didn't even bother to create new models. I expect the devs to utilize the hardware they're working with to the limit. Like they used to. This is definitely not the best possible experience they can offer and that sucks.

@Cosats First of all, you can't argue against my experience. I was underwhelmed when I saw it. That's a fact you can't dispute.
And secondly: if you think it's even the opposite, then you have very low expectations. The Pokémon in Pokkén looked better than this. This is the same old stuff upscaled. It's basic and lazy. The Switch is capable of way better stuff.

I think the look of Let's go is pretty underwhelming. We know that the Switch can do better than that.

@Cobalt Easy. The answer to all is: It's still cheaper than including a disc. They're just optimizing profits. It's actually pretty smart from a business standpoint.

@Lando_ Oh yeah, there is. That's the reason why so many 3rd parties opt to cheap out on Switch and force a download on players. Compared to that printing an Blu Ray just costs a bit of change.

@Lando_ first of all: making a digital version less expensive is unfair do physical adopters. It's more expensive for Nintendo to put a physical copy in the bundle. We all know that those cartridges are stupendously expensive. They actually get more money out of it digitally. And regarding being greedy: Every company is. They exist to make money. Every. Single. One.

@Lando_ because it costs money. Blu Rays are cheap to produce, they don't lose that much money on it.

@ClassSonicSatAm I disagree. Some of the Xbox limited editions look fantastic.

@SwitchForce you keep using AAA. I don't think it means what you think it means. BotW, Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart, Metroid, Smash, Pokémon, Animal Crossing... All of them are AAA titles. That's what AAA means. Big budget productions by major studios. The opposite of indies.

@westman98 both would ne ideal. But we all know that keeping investors happy is always the main focus of any company.

@westman98 The thing is that E3 isn't targeted at the consumer directly. Don't forget that private people just recently were even allowed to it. E3 developed into a place to impress investors. And you do that with proven franchises. Metroid should have a decent presentation, but making it the big focus signals investors that are not gamers themselves that there aren't bigger things to come. And that would be a terrible descision.

@masterLEON I agree, now is the time to give Metroid another big chance. But you have to see E3 from a business standpoint. If they position Metroid as the biggest thing they have, investors won't be happy. Skipping a console generation doesn't generate interest your product. It hurts it. Especially when that franchise wasn't doing so hot in the first place. So, from a business standpoint it would be better to focus on a juggernaut like Pokémon and then place Metroid next to it as something supplemental for the Switch library. A moderate success is what Nintendo should hope for here when we look back at previous installments.

@NotTelevision true, they'll put some serious cash behind Metroid to maybe make it a powerhouse but if I would have to bet money on it, I'd say Pokémon will be the big Nintendo game of E3 2019. That series has the potential to outsell everything else they do, especially with such a leap onto new hardware.

@masterLEON I'd be surprised if Metroid Prime 4 would sell over 4-5 million copies. The series never sold amazingly well. It never even topped 3 million and it was in steady decline. So, I wouldn't bet on it if I were a higher up at Nintendo.

@NotTelevision nope. Metroid never sold more than 3 million copies. It's just not that big. You're in the vocal minority, that's all. And btw: Animal Crossing is a powerhouse. It easily outsells Metroid and Luigi's Mansion combined and then some.

@westman98 both Metroid and Luigi's Mansion are definitely not big enough as a series to warrant dedicating almost the whole booth to them like it happend to other games in the past.
