Re: Talking Point: The Game Boy is 25 Years Old, and Deserves Its Place in Gaming History

HandheldGuru97

Wowza can't believe that its been 25 years, I still have the Nintendo Power Magazine covering the 20th anniversary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wasn't born until '97, but my 1st handheld was the Game Boy Advance SP (10 years ago and still kicking). As I've become a majority handheld gamer and collector I've picked up the Classic, Color, and Micro and I'm planning on getting at the very least a Pocket and Advance Classic (a Light would be nice but dat price tho...) Love what Nintendo has done with the 3DS they've proven a great strength is their handhelds. I've played many of the other companies competitors units and only two (the Neo Geo Pocket Color and Atari Lynx) both are held back only because of poor libraries. Way to go Nintendo hope we'll be celebrating with 50th anniversary with the Nintendo 6DS-Boy HDXX in 4DSessssss

Re: Vita Overtakes 3DS in Tough Week for Japanese Charts

HandheldGuru97

I'm not surprised by this actually. The 3DS has sold 15 MILLION systems in Japan alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thus many people are finding the Vita to be an attractive alternative especially now in between major 3DS release. I love how people are writing the 3DS off based on ONE week yes one week and it under sells a handheld with a install base that will never catch up (for better or worse) to the 3DS. Sheesh its one week, and I think at this point this should be normal (very much like the late DS v. PSP days in Japan)

Re: First Impressions: Tomodachi Life

Sounds like this will be right up my alley. Love how it looks sounds and from videos I've seen plays. Glad to see that you guys are liking it!!!!!!! So now for a few simple questions, what's your favorite thing about the game???? And what is your least favorite aspect of the game??? Just curious to see how it's playing out.

Re: Nintendo Provides Some Context to 2013's Tomodachi Life Same-Sex Marriage Controversy

HandheldGuru97

I do not want to get into a debate like many of the users above me have already, please allow me to state my views here. Thank you.
As someone who suffers gender dysphoria (transgender MtF if you need to know, pre everything sadly ) I myself personally could care less about my sexual orientation I would rather figure out my gender first, yet it saddens me though to see Nintendo not go out on a limb and include this feature as more than a glitch, but a real feature (for male and female Mii's too). It also...I don't sickens and saddens me as well to see how many people are so hell bent on believing its a sin to be part of the LGBTQ community (if you're reading this long wall of text I may even lose some of the few friends I have on this site because I'm Trans*), but seeing that all this hate...Nintendo doesn't need bad press. There would be parents burning their kids Wii U's, Wii's, 3DSes in the streets (worse case scenario) if this feature was in the game. Protests outside Nintendo, hate mail, hell hateful stories on big name game sites (not naming names). Nintendo can't afford bad press now, but one day maybe not this year but within the next 10 years or so...Tomodachi Life HDS could have this feature. I'd like that.
Thanks to anyone who read this wall of text!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Review: Rusty's Real Deal Baseball (3DS eShop)

HandheldGuru97

Awesome game, need to put some funds in to pick up a few games, but I loved the demo. I really hope Rusty shows up again (maybe in HD??? 0_0) He is a fantastic character, he's got the NIntendo charm and a little bit of a dark back story to soften the "kiddie image

Re: Hardware Classics: SNK Neo Geo Pocket Color

HandheldGuru97

Figures I change my profile picture that was a Neo Geo Pocket the day before an article like this comes out . Anyway....I LOVE THE NEO GEO POCKET COLOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kay thats out of the way I'll be more civil. What an amazing handheld. Easily one of the most criminally underappreciated handhelds of not only the 20th century, but of the whole existence of handhelds!!!!!!!!!!!! There are some shortcomings of course most notably is the fairly weak library and (as I've just noticed thank you NLife) game prices are rising (anyone care to tell me what the hell happened to Neo Turf Masters??????? I can't find it under $20! Still an absolutely fantastic little machine I would love to see a fraction of the games on the 3DS eShop. Hey @NinLife think that the next most underappreciated handheld the great Atari Lynx could grab a spot light next????

Re: Review: Yoshi's New Island (3DS)

HandheldGuru97

I'm disappointed, but I'm glad I waited for reviews. Looks like I'll wait a year or so, wait for it to hit $20ish (maybe 25) and pick it up and judge it then. Even so I still like that art style must be just me
