@somebread To get most of the .hack story, you'll have to dive into light novels, anime, manga, etc. It's very all over the place and convoluted like the Kingdom Hearts series. However, if you just want to play the games, there are YouTube videos that breakdown and decipher most of the story for you.
@AlienigenX Because they are media franchises and they can make film adaptations of stories coming from video games. Same can be said about film adaptations of book series. The source material has strong enough stories, characters, etc that it's easy for them to make into movies.
This is fantastic news! I always thought the original game was really underrated. Glad it's getting the recognition it deserves! I'm all for this but I really hope they fix the gameplay mechanics for the sequel. The Switch port was so hard to control compared to the DS.
Well, it looks better than the last teaser. I guess we really just needed an actual trailer to make an impression. And it looks good. While the cast looks forgettable and the dialog is generic, at least the CG and the world looks really, really good.
According to his 'about' page, his channel is focused on "slav gaming, lifestyle, cooking, car reviews, animation and tutorials including end of month and budget cooking."
@thejameswhogames That sounds about right. I bought it day-one on PS4 and was... so-so with it. Gameplay wise, the controls and UI's confusing. However the missions are fun. The graphics are decent and seeing all your favorite dinosaurs is pleasing. Also, there's a mode where you can just drive around your park and just explore in third person. That alone is worth it.
I've been thinking about it all morning but i've ultimately decided to not get it. I was super excited to replay 64 but they just did it dirty. I don't really feel like replaying Galaxy again so meh. I wouldn't mind playing Sunshine but not for the price.
I'm not sure how I feel about it. It looks fantastic but I wonder how the micro-transactions are going to play out in this game considering it's free-to-play... for a single-player game.
Look - I am a cultured individual. I love quirky games. That being said, I am unfortunately going to be taking a pass on this one. It just doesn't look like the game for me.
As much as I disliked the controls in SS, I'd vote for it just for the storyline. I'd love to be typical and vote for OoT just because it was a game changer for the Zelda series but I'll just go ahead and vote TP just because.
It's basically the same version that you would open up in a mobile web browser. It needs a lot of work - it's almost embarrassing. However it's still nice to have YouTube on the 3DS and will be great for walkthroughs while playing a game.
