Cool but, 100 dollars?? I was interested until that. Some things I'll consider even when they're expensive, but this is such a basic functioning product. No heckin way
If a kid in 2000 was presented with these boxes, I bet they would pick Japan's. It's undeniably cooler. Especially when you look at different advertising styles back then.
For me, I actually enjoyed New Leaf and even Pocket Camp more than New Horizons. I'm just not very good at decorating, and I felt like there was way too much emphasis on decorating your island. In New leaf, you have the whole shopping district to work on. That kept me motivated to play all the time. I'm happy for the people for whom island customization is their main joy. Because of the fact thet they're the majority, I wouldn't have the game be different. Just for me, I need a little more motivation. By the time Happy Home Paradise came around, I was super excited. But the ship had sailed for me. I've put far more hours into Stardew Valley than New Horizons. But I'm so happy for the people for whom this is the perfect Animal Crossing.
I'm so so happy for everyone. Pikmin 4 and BOTW2? Yeah. Plenty of hype. However, for me it just seemed to duck and dodge anything that would've gotten major hype from me. I was so excited for Mario Party 1 2 and 3, until I was reminded that we'll just have to wait MONTHS for games that released upwards of 20 years ago. My hype for BOTW2 kind of ebbs and flows. I thoroughly enjoyed the first, but I never put too much time into it. Again, so happy for everyone that got so much that they wanted. Also worth mentioning, I'm not really into anime or RPGs. That being said, y'all enjoy your hype. Congrats Pikmin fans!
@Fizza I would really love to see Nintendo do more joycons on their own. I'm not sure I want an entire console based off one game, but joycons? Absolutely.
Pretty happy with my pro 2 atm. But if I didn't already have one, I may consider this. Great product to add to their growing list of awesome controllers. I honestly think that this would be a better alternative to a pro controller if you didn't already have one. Good design, great dpad, programmable back buttons and controller profiles? Sounds like a winner to me.
I was having a blast with them. (As team paper.) Until my sister (team scissors) came in talking about how imbalanced it was. Tbh, I'm not too sure what the ultra signals do.. All I saw was a big sprinkler appear covering the stage with your ink. I watched her play a match as the defending team, and yeah. It's way skewed against the defending team.
Pre battle lobbies. 1 had squid jump. That was great. 2 had nothing apart from messing with the music. I would bet about 10 percent of my total play time was spent just waiting. I love the new system. It's an enormous improvement.
I think the best nerdy proposal item I've seen is an extremely well made and gorgeous mermaid's pendant. If you go on fangamer, you can find it and read reviews of people who actually proposed with it. It's a yes from me.
While it's not quite my favorite, Coral Capers from Donkey Kong Country. I've caught myself listening to an extended version for a full 30 mins and not noticing. And it's special to me as it's one of the first songs I learned on piano.
@JasmineDragon I was actually just about to comment "Wheres Stardew?" But you're completely right. It's more of a relaxing overall experience. But it gets into some pretty serious topics. It's still my favorite game of all time most likely, but I see why it wouldn't fit into this list.
Storytime! MSM is so important to my musical development and as a gamer. I still play it. Literally the other night I said to my sister, "I would dump any amount of money if they ported it to switch like they did to the vita. (Yes an offline version was on P.S. Vita.) But I doubt it'll ever happen.."
For as huge as the game is to me personally, I cant imagine this party game will be anything to write home about. But I swear if I wont pay and put many hours into the original game WITH ACCOUNTS on switch.
Thank you all you 1 people reading this comment on an article on a mobile game from years ago on a website about nintendo.
Also, as much as I love metroid prime, let's talk about the fact that it's just a game. No reason to hate an individual for it. Especially one whi has done ex9work o. Games we all love.
All I wanted was a port. Wii U was my first own home console. And this was the first game I got separately with it. When I was like 11, I thought it was on 3ds. I was so disappointed to learn that it was not portable. This fulfills a dream of mine. I will be getting it.
I had someone at a yard sale once tell me that the games I was buying (kirby's epic yarn & Super Mario Galaxy) were for the "Nintendo 360". Upon me saying otherwise, she insisted that her kids used to play on it all the time. Further research on her part revealed she was thinking of the N64. I in a non sarcastic way love helping people find their old consoles with a rush of nostalgia. If I see someone trying to figure out what "the one we used to play mario on" is, it's always fun to see their childhoods come back to them when I show them a pic of whatever they were thinking of. The point of this was meant to be related to the article.. but nvm. You're welcome.
@thehoppypoppy You can start a new farm before the update and everything will still apply once it is released. In fact, it may be better just so that you can have a head start for when it actually releases.
Very well written article. It's not often I sit down to read one all the way through. I deal with pain sometimes from my piano playing. The Tetris theme is pure death for my wrists. I agree that ergonomics are vital for long term health. You see a phone that we all spend about a third of our modern life on, and it's just a flat brick. Maybe someday it'll change. Anyway, props for the article. Sorry to hear about your pain.
