Now Nintendo fanboys don't have any argument against Sony and hopefully they focus on the pressure for a good online service for Nintendo and local save backups which is more of a problem than the cross play which it didn't affect any PS4 owner

@beazlen1 If it wasn't part of their plan then why they didn't said anything in the direct and state an ambiguous message, they were probably testing the water but they notice the backlash, don't think Nintendo is a super friendly company there's a reason why they lost third parties and why they didn't add local save backups, well easy because they want you to pay for cloud saves

@Dalarrun While I agree that charging us 60 it's criminal at least with all the free games and sales that we get make up for that price (Seriously I save a lot of money thanks to the sales) but with this barebones service you only get what it's literally a paywall for save backups and 30 year old games no more, just because it's cheaper doesn't mean it's better and just wait for them to raise the price

Horrible start for the eighth generation that Pokémon looks bad honestly and on top of that it's a mythical Pokémon not just a regular one, worst Pokémon ever without a doubt

@Razer I prefer if they focus more on the handheld side instead of trying to appeal to the home console side honestly that market it's already dominated by Sony but on the handheld one Nintendo rules but not with those crazy prices of games accessories and now having to pay online too

@Medic_alert Well anything can be better than Wii U lol, but anyways I don't like that it tries to compete with consoles thanks to the hybrid nature of the console which I understand but I only buy Nintendo consoles as my secondary console for their unique games and exclusives like the 3DS which has games like Etrian Odyssey and also had Monster Hunter for a time and others, also it has poor battery, I find the joy cons gimmicky, no local save backups, and in my opinion it's overpriced with some games having the Nintendo tax and more but that's my opinion

No surprise Nintendo has always been the King of Handheld consoles just like PlayStation is the King of Home consoles, too bad the Switch it's not a true handheld console such a disappointing console to me

@shonenjump86 Weird, it might be an Xbox thing because in the PS2 version when you died you can just select a new character if you wanted and keep going from the same spot even the arcade version it's the same, I don't think there is a game in the franchise that force you to restart the level

😂 😂🤣 I can tell from the comments that nobody really play this games because this games are not about difficulty they are about the fun experience even if it has 1 hit die, since you have unlimited continues you can push your way through this games not matter how bad you are, this games don't really need difficulty otherwise they can become frustrating but for crazy masochist they can try to beat it with one life if they want

One Hit you die was never a problem even back then for this franchise since you have unlimited continues and also re spawn in the same place with invulnerability, i played this games to death in the Arcade and PS1 and I still have the PS2 collection, Advanced in gba and 7 on DS
In conclusion while this games look from the 8 and 16 bit era with unfair mechanics, limited lives, lack of check points etc they are not and don't feel like that, in my opinion Metal Slug is one of the best game franchise ever

This could be the end of the last great Pokémon games depending on how good the next cash grabs games do since that could affect the next real Pokémon generation for next year

But they didn't allow save clouds for certain games in order to prevent this, what happened to your perfect strategy Nintendo 🤔😂

So even in their own standards they didn't improve at all and they even brought back Friend Codes so I don't know why are you saying they improved when now they charge you for securing your save data

@ultraraichu But it is barebones when you compare it to even the Wii U which is Nintendo previous console which offered backwards compatiblity with Wii software and peripherals, you can freely copy and backup your save data, free online multiplayer, you can send messages and invites WITHOUT needing a external smart phone app, a web browser / video player, seriously I don't understand why people defend Nintendo 🤦‍♂️

@Travan Hey I agree with you I hate having to pay online on my PS4 but the difference is that you can get it cheaper than 60 and offers much more, a lot of games just this month alone I got 6 games 2 of them are AAA titles and the discount that it offers are so good not to mention basic online features like it should voice chat party chat/app, cloud saves, messages, achievements and more that alone makes you feel like your money was well invested, but with Nintendo you are just getting charged for something that used to be free and offer nothing more and if you think this is gonna be 20 forever you are naive they will probably rise the price next year

@VexingInsanity Don't try to defend their greedy tactics while I can see your point keep in mind that we are in 2018 almost 2019 actually and they delayed it for this mediocrity of service there's no excuse for putting your save data backups of your own games behind a paywall that doesn't even work with all your games and especially the important ones like Pokémon and others with the excuses of preventing hackers and punishing people who don't even do it , and while it is cheaper it doesn't mean it's worth the price when it lacks basic features if you compare it to any of the other consoles either PS4 or Xbone you'll understand the reason why people are disappointed

I know the feeling almost all my n64 games lost their save data because of the battery but for that time and been a cartridge base games it's understandable even when PS1 had memory cards and N64 too but it didn't work for all games especially the Nintendo ones, the console that started with saves problems was Wii because it didn't allow save backups to the SD for online games that's when Nintendo paranoia started and I lost my saves for games like Mario kart SSB brawl because my Wii died
And that is why save backups to an SD card are important even more than save clouds but no one cares apparently

Also you now why Nintendo and Microsoft join to get cross play and what's the reason for cross play

And you never answer my question about cross play with Xbone so that means you probably haven't even use cross play and even if what you say somehow becomes true that's for the next generation that doesn't affect any PS4 owners in any way right now unlike Nintendo not allowing you to secure your save data and besides what cross play has to do with this anyway

@Rafke Just because it's cheaper doesn't mean it's a good service the only difference now it's that you have to pay for what it was free, It really doesn't fix issues that people had like better online nope it's P2P, VC console games at this point N64 games are gonna appear next generation, no decent way to save your games since the save clouds are not gonna work with all games and what happened to the leaderboard that they promised for the Nes games I think people forgot about that and more

@Mgene15 They are gonna use there last big cards in 2019 don't expect anything too big for 2020 or you gonna be disappointed, once Nintendo use SSB, Zelda, Mario 3D, Kart etc, Pokémon, Animal Crossing, Metroid and Fire Emblem they don't have any other big titles to attract more buyers, and yea they have others good games like Luigi, pikmin and others but those games are not system sellers so hopefully they get more exclusive third party and not just downgrades

@MarioLover92 I understand that the 3DS it's on it's way out but then they shouldn't have said they have unannounced games (more than one) and say game (only one 😂), now I'm hoping for Atlus to bring Persona Q2 as my last 3DS game for the 3DS

As a 3DS owner it was horrible what happened to all those unannounced games I mean at least I expected 1 good game but not just another port if they were gonna just port games to 3ds port something worthy like Mother 3 which we never got

I'm disappointed I was expecting Kirby and the Rainbow Curse since that game can't be ported to Switch and would've make more sense than epic yarn

This microSD cards are more fitted for a New 3DS since you don't need that much memory in that system unless you go full digital, but anyways I take the beautiful Dreamcast one and it also comes with the VMU as the actual microSD really nice detail
