Re: Reminder: All of the Expiry Dates to Help You Plan Your My Nintendo Rewards

Floof_Cat

I've already snagged Warioware and the Mario theme; all my points will build up from here on in until awards I want show up for platinum points. I don't need any of the discounts they have available, I can only have one theme active at a time, so there's no need for another that I really don't want, and Picross probably isn't worth the points. That said, if the points build up really quickly, I might snag it anyway.

Re: Popular Super Mario Maker Speedrunner and Streamer Has All His Levels Deleted by Nintendo

Floof_Cat

A lot of the "no reason" stuff isn't no reason at all. Small kids who have their levels removed often have their own name in the name of their levels. Sharing personal information over Miiverse is a no-no, and your level's name shows up on Miiverse. The same goes for dirty language in level names, no matter how "tame" it seems.

When in doubt, aim for G-rated for your own safety.

Re: Nintendo Warns It'll Block Rule Breaker's Access to Super Mario Maker's Online Features

Too many comments, didn't read them all.

Case in point on rule 2: Almost every course I see has someone clearing it in about five seconds, even if it takes over a minute to play because of the length. That's the kind of cheater I think they're going to go after. It's outright trolling.

Go ahead, go back to the featured courses to unlock mystery mushroom characters. Look at the record times on them. THAT'S what Nintendo wants to stamp out.

Re: Hands On: Getting Pinned Down By Nintendo Badge Arcade

One nice thing about the free plays is that you can switch machines - go after badges you really want instead of the machines that set you up in.

I just wish you could save your free plays up for the future instead of having to use them right away; I'd love to have some Kirby and Pokémon badges to decorate the screens with, but they're not out yet.

Re: Video: Ever Wondered What Happens When A Splatoon Turf War Ends In A Tie?

Floof_Cat

I've seen a .1 difference. Oh, and there WAS ink down on that video... because some folks were NOT on their base! When you are in squid mode, outside your base, you are 0.1% covering the board. If you want a tie, all four players must be standing still, NOT DANCING! When time was up, one orange team member must either have been overlapping another or in midair or on their base.

Try your experiment again, folks.
