Re: You Can't Alter The Chest Size Of Female Characters In The Western Version Of Xenoblade Chronicles X

@Bazzlin (Huh? No E-mail notification? Oh well.)
Oh...that was a decent post. I didn't read most of your posts because typically it's just a back and forth of everyone repeating what they said in their first post, which is just a repeat of what someone else said in an earlier post. I didn't read @Yorumi's posts either. But you're right that I don't care, and it is a waste of time responding to me. Anyway I think it's funny you called me sensitive. Maybe it's true I don't know. It's not true in this case but elsewhere maybe...nah compared to the average person I don't think so, but I do have certain pet peeves. Whatever.

I admit I'm pretty passionate about this type of thing. I don't get mad, but I like to talk about it. End of the day, I kind of agree with you, but of course in the Fee way. Women never all agree on anything so I never try to defend "rights" or whatever. I don't keep out though. I make fun. In this case, based on posts I've seen, the women who would prefer the breast slider was still there outnumber you about 3:1 but I can't say for sure, and I only care about what I want anyway.

Honestly I think people have degraded it so far that anyone complaining at this point is just making it worse to the point everyone who's not in their camp will just hate and/or look down on them(like Fee does). But you don't have to apologize. If you think there's a use for it go ahead. It's true that you have to talk if you want people to listen, but at this point people probably don't want to listen even if you do talk. Might be a problem, but it's not mine. I guess we're done talking here though. This article has been very long.

@Bazzlin Men rule the world. Truth? You're not getting anything in this world to change unless men agree to it. "I simply would love to stop having conversations and seeing headlines about breasts." Good good. Request it, but it takes us to stop. Men weighing in bothers you? Great. You honestly believe you could get anything if men didn't vouch for you to get it? It's not like you can force us. Every time one of you goes on like this you are literally begging for our pity.

You grievously misjudged my character if you thought that stupid line would work on me. I'm not speaking for women either. I'm not arrogant enough to think I do, and judging by the "arrogant" post I just made you'd have to be pretty arrogant to think that.

EDIT: Fixed my paraphrase. Honestly I barely read any of your posts but if you're going on about objectification you are a feminist or no better, regardless of what you identify.

@andrea987 It's really not difficult to understand. No one was going to skip the game because it had a boob slider. You're not so shallow as I right? I'm skipping because they removed and changed, but if they'd left it the same you'd have still bought it right? So how is the audience increased? It's us petty perverts that would skip it over such a small feature, not you real gamer types.(I'm not even being sarcastic)

By the way are you really not going to respond anymore? You seem the type who says they won't and then does it anyway. =/

Re: You Can't Alter The Chest Size Of Female Characters In The Western Version Of Xenoblade Chronicles X

Fee

@andrea987 "increase target audience" "logical explanation" The heck are you on about? People come up with shallow reasons to avoid admitting they're wrong.

@Fingeldor: Lawl. Ignorant about ignorance? Feminists don't speak for women. They speak for themselves. I'm not going to elaborate, too ignorant. You wouldn't understand. I don't believe @Bazzlin's 7 hour account speaks for women either.

Re: You Can't Alter The Chest Size Of Female Characters In The Western Version Of Xenoblade Chronicles X

Fee

@tpcstudios OK I'll give you a few hints.
HINT: People can't jump 50 feet or off a cliff in real life without taking damage.
HINT: Women in general already can't do what men can do physically.
HINT: You ain't no psychologist.
Obvious Hint: You don't add negatives to a feature just to make your buyers feel bad about using them, and it wouldn't work anyway.
Hint: You're funny.

Re: You Can't Alter The Chest Size Of Female Characters In The Western Version Of Xenoblade Chronicles X

Fee

@andrea987 Yeah, by no rating board I meant it won't affect the rating anywhere. There is no rating board that would allow the costumes(which are only censored on Lin) to retain a certain rating but increase it due to a boob slider. It's obvious you don't know what you're talking about if you think it's obvious that this was about ratings. You're really not very good at this.

@tpcstudios You're kind of a try hard in a bad way, since you seemed to put in effort and didn't actually get anywhere. I'm not even going to explain. You don't understand the world enough to get it.

Re: You Can't Alter The Chest Size Of Female Characters In The Western Version Of Xenoblade Chronicles X

Fee

@FullbringIchigo No I want smaller chest. This might be spoilers for some, but in Dragon's Dogma if Aelinore isn't accusing my loli of sexually assaulting her that scene is made much less epic.

@andrea987 Firstly there's no rating board I know of that would have a problem with this.(Maybe Australia but I've looked at a list of banned games and there's nothing like this so very very slim chance) Secondly you're new to the internet.

@HADAA There are no rating boards that would have an issue with this.

Re: Star Fox Zero Launches on 22nd April, 2016

This game looks like a budget/early PS3 game graphically, and gameplay wise it just seems meh. I don't really understand why everyone is always asking for a new Star Fox but I guess it could be because I've never really played one. Anyway it doesn't look good to me. Hope it's fun though whatever.

Re: Preview: Getting Lost in the World of Xenoblade Chronicles X

@ThomasBW84 "Well over a hundred" That's all? After playing the game twice? I can safely assume being a "gaming journalist" you never actually finished it yah? Nah I'm kidding you can finish faster.

Also I don't need a manual. I won't need one...whenever I decide to get this game.

@WireWare Are you kidding? Bro you literally do that every time you post. I'm tired of having to report you. It's one click bro. One.

Also unrelated to anyone but isn't it pronounced Xenoblade Chronicles Cross? Bill said Eks(are they even in this game?)...Well I guess they just call it cross in Japan but with the main character's basic name being Cross.

Re: More North American Women Own A Games Console Than Men

Fee

@Damo Why did you respond to @edhe but not me? I'm your biggest fan but you hate me? ;_;

@doll : They're not ignoring you. You already like the games so you buy them. You don't have to be catered to to get sales from you. They already have it. It's the average woman that isn't interested in most games. You're already sold. Or am I wrong and you don't like games?

Re: More North American Women Own A Games Console Than Men

Fee

@Utena-mobile Yeah, and girls like girl genres. Guys like guy genres. I'm being blunt on purpose, but I obviously have Animal Crossing myself. I still know it's mostly girls playing it. Why would you having Demon Souls make me stop believing(knowing) it's the type of game mostly men play? Socially-constructed though? Hahahaha. I suppose the female spider eats the male because of how it was brought up in spider school then? It's natural for men and women to behave differently and like different things.

@Xenocity Bro just stop. I'm not even paying attention.

Re: More North American Women Own A Games Console Than Men

Fee

@Utena-mobile "But I don't see how not wanting to be part of an online community invalidates being able to call myself a 'gamer'."
I don't see how you're responding to my post, but I like how you try to stay in line with @Ryu_Niiyama. You can call yourself a gamer as much as you like, but I don't call myself one. Anyways what I'm saying is. Girls play girl games but not as much as guys play guy games. You ever hear of the eighty twent rule? Eighty percent of profit comes from 20% of customers. I'd say men make up 14% of that 20 at the least, and I think you're the only car. If you think there are a lot of cars that like to be part of a video game community you're even more naive than some of the other things here.

Re: More North American Women Own A Games Console Than Men

Fee

@Utena-mobile "What is your definition of gamer" Over-hyped twat. But I don't think that's what you meant. It's funny though. A gamer to you is someone who likes being part of the community. @Ryu_Niiyama said girls aren't into being part of the gaming community. So by your definition she doesn't think girls are a large portion of gamers. She obviously does think girls are a large portion of gamers by her definition though. Funny how you're all over the place. I don't mean people on your side I mean everyone. @Xenocity was right to say all these statistics are flawed, and a lot of people only accept the ones they like. So let's just use our common sense. Who do you see playing which games?

So here's what I believe. Men play more console games. Women play more games like Animal Crossing and Style boutique(really style boutique is one of the only things that came to mind), which are also console games. I could believe that 40+% of people playing Mario Kart are women. I could believe the same for Pokémon. But I know that when I play Smash bros. or Monster Hunter online it is greater than 75% men that I see.(I've played literally thousands of different people in Smash bros. and hunted with hundreds in Monster Hunter) When I played Animal Crossing they were mostly young girls.(only played that online a bit, crossed maybe 75 people) The reason you don't see a lot of girls online isn't because they're being bullied or hit on, for a lot of communities it's just because they're not there. Men are interested in more and varied games than women are. I'm pretty sure I wrote this post badly but I'm kind of sleepy so meh. I'm not going to bother trying to explain everything either.

I've also gotten lots of streetpasses. At least 80% of them were men. I'm racking my brain trying to remember why I care but like I said I'm sleepy. But the bottom line of what I'm saying is. Girls play girl games. Being blunt and legit right there.

Re: More North American Women Own A Games Console Than Men

Fee

I'm late to the party but I can't believe there are so many women that actually believe women play games, on consoles, as much, or more than men. You'd think women would know women better than I do. Kekekek. Then again, considering some of them think they only act differently to men because of society...kekekek.

@Xenocity: I thought men and women like the same things,(like video games) so why aren't they also interested in the shooters? I've known women(read: a woman) who liked the Last of Us. Are you really implying women can't like shooters?

Re: More North American Women Own A Games Console Than Men

Fee

@Damo : Saw the article, knew you wrote it. Yes! Someone owes me a carbonated beverage. Is what I would say but I didn't have anyone to bet with so I'll buy myself one later I guess. Don't have to read it to know it's misleading, but I'll read it after.

Lawl: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/LiesDamnedLiesAndStatistics

I do wonder, however how they managed to chalk this one up. Probably asked the question wrong. I wonder, but considering the last study, the one everyone quotes, saying 40 odd percent of gamers were women because they play Farmville and Candy Crush...I'm sure there's a lot to make this look stupid. Funny though, it seems they were after propoganda of a different sort. "People who own tablets are highly educated"...wow. I wouldn't give them two shakes, but anyone else is welcome to.

That was cool. I didn't know Australia had states...and you have to fly a plane to travel between them? Wow.

@B64111980: You settle it in Smash!?

@Dpisphere : Unfortunately if you can't find your soulmate you don't have one. Course that doesn't mean if you haven't found them yet, it means if you never find them. You won't know if you have one or not til you die. I wouldn't bother looking, they'll come or they won't.

@Damo : "Strong female lead" I was just waiting for you to say "strong female" so I could mock you afterwards, but it came too quick and predictably so I won't. Unless this counts.

P.S. You're my favorite writer for this website, and one of only three whose names I can remember.

Anyway will this get banned like that other fan film? Not that I care. People take Metroid way too seriously. Watching something made by a fan will definitely not be fun.

Re: Nintendo Is Making Female Characters Cover Up For The Western Version Of Xenoblade Chronicles X

Fee

@smashbrolink Yeah, speaking of I've looked at the Japanese miiverse too. It's hard to believe these two would be the only ones modified. Really a large number of them probably are and I'll wait to see how many...Anyway that part about finding a better look isn't what I didn't believe you about since of the ones I've seen these aren't even my favorites but that's ok. I was getting hyped up to say "let's settle this in Smash!" but you ruined my party because it's already settled. Still to avoid being disappointed I'll say it. Let's settle this in Smash! My network ID is in my profile. Use it! If I win you're banned from Zimbabwe if you win I'll admit your Bayonetta example wasn't completely bogus.

P.S. I agree that a lot of people are overreacting even though it bothers me too. Getting upset or even not buying it is one thing but pretending it's going to spiral out of control into full on censorship of everything is just being ridiculous. To be honest I found this article late because I was off the internet, and I needed someone to talk to... @MrRight who you quoted in the beginning is one of the ones exaggerating. You weren't wrong.

EDIT: Oh, The Last of Us. Yeah, I don't care about The Last of us. Mostly because it's The Last of Us, but of course that was also for legal reasons so they didn't have much choice...That said, it's the same as with Xenoblade Chronicles X. Australia for one wouldn't allow it if it wasn't censored a bit, and this is the version that everyone outside of Japan is getting so either they ignore Australia(and other nations that would consider this illegal child porn not to mention backlash from offended persons) or they make a different version for them, and possibly have a higher age rating than they would like on the game.(though if I'm not mistaken M rated games sell best overall...maybe not on Nintendo consoles though) Honestly after thinking about it some more I believe Nintendo of America made the best business and, well, logical decision...but I still hate it. Oh well I'm not hating them for it. I can't call them cowards any more either. Course I never would have denied that my reasons for being upset are selfish, not moral.

Re: Nintendo Is Making Female Characters Cover Up For The Western Version Of Xenoblade Chronicles X

Fee

@smashbrolink I don't think so bro. You said for a few levels like you were talking about stats instead of just saying something that looks better. Which doesn't matter to me because the old versions looked better, and I care about every single piece of clothing. But I'm not going to argue I just don't believe you.

Now I don't think I was wrong about what you were trying to say, but judging by your thoughts on Bayonetta you're definitely wrong about what other people are saying. What? You think everyone is saying Lin Lee is wearing a T-shirt now? Because no one said this is a full-body cover up. Besides that was Nintendo of Japan, people are complaining about Nintendo of America.(obviously considering this was in the Japanese version) Hardly anyone would expect Nintendo to censor a tiny bit of cleavage. I'm not saying you're completely wrong or anything though. If you wanted an example you should have gone with Zero Suit Samus' alternates in Smash Bros.(but then people could just gring up the Tharja trophy pfft) The Bayo example is whack because it's still not at all risque. Anyway I still don't believe you know what you're talking about. Even when you say everyone is losing their mind. At least on this website people are mostly in support due to the age of the character. Some people are only upset because they think NOA changed both the age and the costume but since they really only changed the costume you can count them out too.

Re: Nintendo Is Making Female Characters Cover Up For The Western Version Of Xenoblade Chronicles X

Fee

@smashbrolink "Probably not much of a Nintendo fan in the first place" "only use for a few levels" See here? I'm not saying people shouldn't buy it or anything but you don't know what you're talking about. I know more about this game than you.

Once you beat it you unlock the option to unlock fashion equipment(or something). In other words you can wear any armor and give it the aesthetic of another armor. The designs aren't thrown away after a few levels. You can use them to style later in the game. Any changes to the style change your options, and for someone who spent nearly 500 hours collecting all the high rank armors in Monster Hunter, I really hate this. It's a very important part of the game to me, and I also really hate cowardice. This ugly rip doesn't suit me.

Anyway, I've been following the game pretty close, before it was even officially announced. This news makes me less hyped, but whatever either way. I don't care much if people support this or not. I already understand that people have an irrational hatred of this sort of thing when it involves young girls so it's not like I'm surprised anyway. I've got it pre-ordered but I'm not sure if I'll get it day one or ever to be honest. Still, I think I was more into the game than you were from the start. Can't tell me I'm not a fan because I'm upset by this. Truth be told I was a fan of the costumes along with everything else. I don't like the game I waited more than three years for being less than it could have been, or rather it was supposed to be.

That Bayonetta example was lame by the way. It's not like they made the Link costume sexy, it still hardly shows anything. If not for the change only her neck and face would have been exposed.

Re: Nintendo Is Making Female Characters Cover Up For The Western Version Of Xenoblade Chronicles X

Fee

I don't honestly see the difference between a thirteen year old and a twenty year old. I've known and heard stories of a lot of thirteen year olds having sex, some having kids...honestly stupid on their part, but if they're old enough to choose to have sex with their own brains they're old enough to be sexualized. I mean, maybe it's not right but in my mind it's no worse than when an eighteen year old is sexualized. The having kids part is worse, because they can't take care of em' but the sexualizing is the same thing.

Oh, but they're not as mature. I knew better when I was thirteen, and most of the college girls lifting their shirts up are drunk at the time. Their minds are different who cares? It might be bad but it's not worse.

A twelve or thirteen(I was in seventh grade and she was the same age) year old girl felt me up, and tried to lift my shirt(I'm male if you're getting confused) in the middle of class. The same year a boy of the same age made fun of me for being a virgin. In highschool I used to sit at a table with a sixteen-eighteen year old with a 4 year old son. It seemed like half the people in my highschool had already done it, regardless it was one of the main things they talked about. Obviously most of them were not 18. No one forced them. That's just how they were and how a lot of them are.(I'm 21 I don't think 4 years changed the world so much.) I don't care if some fake thirteen year old is sexualized. I honestly don't care if a real one is, unless they actually were forced, age be damned it's on them. Besides, this is a new-aged thing. Back in the day no one cared about age. I've heard Romeo was intended to be a bit older than Juliet, course at the time she would've been played by a little boy and that is a whole nother can of worms. Anyway, I'm not arguing with any of you, and I'm not going to try to convince anyone it's ok, but this is why I don't care. Life experience makes me unable to, and I'm not really from Zimbabwe.

P.S. Sexualizing young virtual girls in this way is legal in the UK, Canada, and the U.S.

Anyway, I don't like this censorship but I care a lot less than I thought I would.

Re: Yes, Fatal Frame's Lingerie Outfits Have Been Removed From The Western Version

Fee

@Peterjr1 Bruh. In America it doesn't matter if they're a minor as long as they're not real girls.(In other words it's legal because it's a video game) In the UK it's illegal if the girls are minor but I'm not sure what age they have to be. I think I'll Yahoo search it...Also I thought one of them was 15 but I don't know that for sure.

Edit: I researched it more and found that the UK and US have basically the same law. Child porn is anything under the age of 18, however virtual child porn is legal so long as it isn't "obscene". It's completely illegal in Australia(not just for under 18, but small chests even), and I still have to look it up for Canada, but I know Australia gets the UK version if they get anything...which they might not. Australia is a prude nation, at least as far as laws go.

EDIT: This would also be legal in Canada since it doesn't show anything explicit. In other words there is zero legal reason for the North American version to be censored, but there is light cause to censor the Euro/Australian one.

@MarinoKadame Senran Kagura Burst is rated T for Teen.

Re: Yes, Fatal Frame's Lingerie Outfits Have Been Removed From The Western Version

Fee

@Godhard Exactly.

@Damo You always have the best articles.

@MarvinTheMartian I don't think you're correct. I don't know the specifics of your laws but I know that these girls are under 18, and I know in the US of A that's perfectly acceptable since they're not real, but in Canada, Australia, and the UK it's illegal to have sexually explicit image of virtually underage girls. If they removed the ages it'd be fine, but legally speaking I'd say the ole US is more lenient to this sort of thing.

Re: Cosplay Dreams Come True With Zelda and Zero Suit Samus Outfits in Fatal Frame

Fee

@Technosphile Well really they just eliminate age references altogether,(at least I never saw any) but I don't really like that approach. It is preferable to censorship though. It's also pretty obvious the Senran Kagura girls are still high-school age and they get away with it so, yeah. I still don't really blame them but I do agree that your idea is a lot better than what they did.

Re: XSEED VP Talks About the Future of the Rune Factory Series

@Nerevar They could have done better with the 3DS they just didn't. That's what put me off buying it for years, but after playing it I can understand their focus went more into the size and other content. Even if it was on Vita I doubt their probably small budget would allow for great visuals and the same scope...

P.S. It also would have sold like poo so there's that.

@Windy I think it was their parent companies fault, but I don't remember.

Re: Cosplay Dreams Come True With Zelda and Zero Suit Samus Outfits in Fatal Frame

Fee

@Technosphile Well, I very lightly researched this so I could be wrong, but in the UK they have no choice because the girls are underaged and it would be illegal even though they're not real girls. It's not their fault it's the government. What's worse? It's also illegal in Canada, and Canada gets the same version as the US...so they could just give the US a different version, but there's not enough incentive for them to bother. So...while I agree with you and this makes me less likely to buy...it's not really their fault. The censorship is imposed not only by Nintendo but by multiple governments. I know others have gotten away with it, but I can't really blame them for blocking it, even though I don't like it.

@Sampras Yeah, it's kind of like Jill's wetsuit in Revelations.

Re: Cosplay Dreams Come True With Zelda and Zero Suit Samus Outfits in Fatal Frame

@hcfwesker I've never played Fatal Frame before. I'm not invested in the series so I have no reason to support its localization if they're gonna shaft me. Now let me be real. The bikinis make me more interested but the removal of the bikinis makes me much less interested than I'd be if they never existed in the first place. It's cowardice I can't stand.

Re: Cosplay Dreams Come True With Zelda and Zero Suit Samus Outfits in Fatal Frame

Nothing but disappointment if they replace the swimsuits. Too much cowardice because they're under 18. I mean, I can understand since even virtual it's illegal in some European countries/Australia but it's not illegal in North America so I hope they're not too scared. If they're just going to port it from the UK version, I understand. Not really cowardice but I probably won't buy it.
