This is dumb. Nintendo is too obsessive, this was just a small non-profit fan game made within an actual game. No one is gonna get this game specifically to play fan made Mario games; there's no way this could have hurt Nintendo. They might as well start suing people for uploading fan-art.
I got into monster Hunter in 4U, and I sunk a lot of time into that game. I've been trying to get into Generations Ultimate, but there are just SO MANY gathering quests and small monster quests (I'm one of those people that have to complete every mission). I kind of burnt out early on MHGU. Dauntless though has gotten me back into hunting! Sending me straight into the action along with simplified armor systems and overall less prep time needed between hunts is awesome to me. Perfect to scratch that hunting itch. I do plan on going back to MHGU at some point though. Nothing can replace my love for the incredibly fun and complex play-styles in that game.
@rjejr "Dont' put things on the eShop before they area announced, or announce them before putting them on the Shop, half your problems solved right there." wat...I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not. The sentences first half contradict the second half. Obviously, one must come before the other; either the announcement comes first or the release on the Eshop comes first. Is this a sarcastic way of saying there is no solution?
@impurekind You know what would be cool? If Nintendo set up something where they received fanmade projects and published them if they were deemed good enough.
@KryptoKrunch I don't think that's what @Agramonte is saying. He's not saying it wasn't a success, he's saying it was a success by the studio's standards. The problem is that we don't know what the studio's standards were, so this success story is reduced to simply being anecdotal.
Edit: maybe anecdotal is the wrong word, but I think it's understood what I'm trying to say
On floor 19, i just went to the nearest one on my right and reflected it's laser, taking it out in one shot. I just kept that up, going down line of guardians from left to right. Didn't break a single weapon
@Caryslan It looks like it connects with fates in some way with King Garon at the end there, which means to have the "full" story, you'd have to buy four games!
@Moon I think they'll let you have a power conserving switch like the 3ds that will lower the framerate when it is on. So if you wanted it to just run like normal, it would. Also, I think it will be kinda like the Wii U gamepad where you can dock it, but you can also connect it directly to the power cord.
@iGen I don't know about you, but I enjoy debating about whether Nintendo is still good or not (or subjects that are similar) with my friends. Just because they disagree with him doesn't mean they aren't his friends.
@AlexSora89 I think the Shovel Knight - Ducktales comparison is a bit different than Gunslugs - Broforce. With the former, Shovel Knight changes and in ways improves upon Ducktales. While with the latter, Gunslugs feels like a downgrade compared to Broforce.
@3MonthBeef yes, that is the wrong way to interpret the given mechanics. Most of the time you should be predicting where the ball will be and using charged shots to move it in the direction you want. Rapid shots do next to nothing and you run out of charge quickly.
...or maybe this could be like how VR turned out. It was a complete failure in the past, but is now making a comeback. Maybe just like the Game & Watch Micro Vs./NX.
@abe_hikura But that's not what he said, he said that Nintendo would do the hardware and Microsoft would do the software. I feel like everyone in the comments got those mixed up.
@GhostUrsa wow, I never new that. I just thought my 3ds was really weird and hated connecting to the internet. Now I know to just turn off the power saver (which i usually have on all the time). Thanks for the infor!
@UNSOLUTEDSALT I see no one else replied to you, so if you're still giving that other stuff from the Humble Bundle away could you send the download codes to my email? my email: [email protected]
@XCWarrior Excuse me? Did you not read my comment? Do you think I'm going to waste money that I need to LIVE ON just to buy an TV and a $200 WiiU just to buy a game that I already have? If so, then that's foolish and perhaps you should go to your room and think about what you've said.
Also, I feel like too many times nowadays game developers are coming up with good ideas, yet never really expand on them. Or at least don't expand in the right direction on them.
Hm, that's too bad. The trailer at e3...two or three years ago? Well anyway, the trailer really interested me at the time, and it looked like it had lots of potential. It's too bad it turned out this way. I'll most likely wait for a sale as well.
