The worthless amount of storage capacity is certainly a factor for why people rejected the 8gb model (and possibly, even the system as a whole). People are aware of what the competition offers, and realise they'd be paying more for less.

Speaking as if games are the lone issue for why the console's doing so poorly, is just really foolish on Iwata's part. That's why i have no hope of him 'fixing' the situation, his ignorance has rendered himself incapable at this point.

I was a "fence sitter" until E3... then all interest was gone. Ps4 will take priority now.

My 3ds alone will have to do, for Nintendo games. So instead of a price drop, i'd rather they discontinue and reallocate assets.

Nintendo doesn't include online in any of their own games (Nintendo land, NSMBU, Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, SM3D World etc. etc...), so you can't really blame third parties for following suit on the console, lol.

Interesting, but i find it hard to believe we'll see Gamecube games on VC in any of our lifetimes.

Why is it that so many people are way more concerned with creepy, stupid fan-service like this (including those awful cutscenes from brawl being cut), than the actual mechanics and quality of the game itself?

I've noticed this with pretty much all the instore supermarkets in the UK. The only stuff they stock from Nintendo's current platforms are the odd few Mario titles and Animal Crossing, seriously that's it.

@SCAR392 Nope, i meant what i said - the PS4 would replace it as the main system i use/have plugged in. The PS3 would be put in storage after that. Not gotten rid of, as you assume.

@SCAR392 No problem, because i probably won't ever sell my PS3. Whatever games don't crossover won't concern me. Plus, it's not like i intend to buy a PS4 at launch anyway, just sometime next year.

@hydeks No... i owned a Wii for ages, up until beating that game. There was nothing releasing after DKCR that i felt was worth leaving it plugged in for.

That's the only console i've had connected for years now. It easily serves as that all-in-one box you require (i unplugged my Wii after finishing DKCR, then gave it away). The Wii U would make an awful substitute for my PS3, for many reasons. I don't intend to buy one until MUCH later (like, 3/4 yrs), while the PS4 has a good chance of replacing my PS3 in 2014.

For Nintendo games, i think you'd manage fine with a 3DS alone.

“Story-driven”? lol, it was mostly just some random crap thrown together, used as a way to introduce characters. What story? After playing through once, you weren’t likely to ever do so again due to how long and boring it was. No loss.

I wonder how much stuff will be removed in the end. Hopefully he'll keep the best from those other smaller modes - Events, Targets, Trophies and Multi-man should stay... I wouldn't mind if the rest gets cut.

Mario Kart DS was the pinnacle of that series. Now they're just slow, randomized party games, more suited to only casual play. No skill required.

For some reason i never even owned GX. I may have only borrowed it from a friend, briefly. But i did have the 64's X.

Apart from the standard GP racing, time trails and such. I thought that other mode (Death Race?) was great, where wrecking your opponents was the main goal. Imo, that was something which should've been improved on in a sequel - fleshed out, given more options/objectives etc. It was good but kinda too basic as it was. I dunno if that mode existed in GX? probably not, cuz nobody mentions it...

Nintendo shouldn't just remake GX, i've gotten real bored of them doing that constantly... Make a new entry or don't bother, ffs. No old game (regardless of whether i've played it) will ever get me to buy this failing console.

Btw, i'm not a Nintendo hater, i love many of their past games. I'm a hater of the terrible decisions being made by them lately. I find it ridiculous how they just sat back and watched the WiiU get to the position it is in now. Almost like its failure was planned.

@Ychung's point is valid – both systems have a VC with almost the same library. Yet, you'd have to pay twice for the same game for it to be playable across both platforms... That's some seriously greedy BS on Nintendo's part. You can't deny this.

Personally, i don't care about Nintendo's VC (the pricing and game selection mostly sucks, imo). But, even though i wouldn't buy it, i don't see the pricing for this particular game to be so bad. Seems fine considering how revelled Earthbound is, also the fact it had to be BEGGED for in the first place. I'm sure many of you would pay double!

Anybody else not like Bowser's change? Preferred how he had his own dark style in Smash before. He looks like a much easier target now.

The currency you start with has the exact same monetary value as the currency you covert to. Makes no difference if you convert $ to € or € to $. You can't add or take away from that value afterwards for no apparent reason.

If you're talking about the price Nintendo has actually set for this game in our territories, which is in £ listed here. Put the £40 into a converter and see if you're paying more than us for it.

It's kinda sad that i'd remember the name of every pokemon up until gen 3 (stopped caring after that).... knew that was Octillery before clicking in here.

@Samurai_Goroh The current problem though - is that the WiiU has been failing spectacularly under Iwata's leadership, plus he's been losing the company hefty amounts of money since 2011. You may think Investors are stupid for thinking along the short-term constantly, but Iwata's decisions and refusal to learn from past mistakes is causing horrible damage to Nintendo. Damage that they now probably won't be able to recover from in the home console market.
