@Datasun_7 Another reason why they need to hurry up and kill off the WiiU already. Nintendo should be prioritising the only system making them money.
@Peach64 That wouldn’t work out for them as intended, it'd only piss off the majority of potential buyers. Anyway, the 3DS line-up is too barren to allow them to.
@Diddy_kong Nintendo likes to believe their target for the console was/is 'everybody'. It's pretty funny that you consider the abysmal sales so far, to be “doing it's job”.
@GalacticMario28 “Nintendo has made it clear that they are changing up their business strategies in response to their current situation”
Not really. We all expected some big change to be announced during that January meeting, but what became of it? We instead hear about how he's sticking with the current failed WiiU plan, while trying to divert people's attention to a completely vague/pipe-dream strategy involving QoL.
@somari Stating facts makes me a WiiU hater? Lol, the 3DS and Sony/MS hold no significance to what i said (if anything, they make the WiiU's failure look even worse). There's obviously no point in discussing anything with you further.
@somari Gamecube was profitable. What do you think was mainly responsible for the three successive years of losses they just faced (and will continue to)?
Nintendo are in for a long and painful demise unless they manage to get rid of this fool and his sidekicks. They need managers who aren't so senile and afraid of change/competition, to be at the helm instead. The company needs to be brought into 2014.
@LUIGITORNADO "Metroid Fusion is better than most PS1 and PS2 games anyways, and M&L is a RPG filled with content."
I own both games, and can tell you that both of these statement are false.
Fusion was great for a 2D Metroid. It's pure madness to say it trumps the best of what the PS1/2 have to offer, though.
M&L was good for what is clearly a beginner's RPG. Not much to do there apart from the main quest (which is about the length you'd expect from it, nothing huge).
@ikki5 By Nintendo releasing them on the lesser system first, fanboys are more likely to buy the same games again once they do come to the desired platform. This wouldn't happen if they were released on the WiiU/3DS simultaneously. How's that for milking?
@Sidewaydriver It has already failed. All Nintendo are focused on doing now is milking its tiny userbase with old and cheap (to produce) games. I think this E3 will finally drive home to everybody just how dead the system is.
@Caryslan I'd guess that the only reason they chart is due to being the most recognizable Nintendo IP, combined with the fact they're the cheapest games available on the store. Most buyers probably ignore/discard them after the first 10 mins of play.
@Falco I fail to see what's selfish about that. You think it's a smart idea to be prioritizing handheld games on the WiiU, instead of their actual handheld?
Buy a WiiU if we want them? HA, nobody is that desperate.
@ZeroZX_Dev Look at the WiiU's status at market.. It's a bad joke to be saying the Gamepad is something that drew people in.
@ikki5 I said 'too old', i'm well aware that EVERY single game on the service is old, thanks. GB games are also too old and crappy, apart from a select few titles. The difference in playability between them and GBA is huge. Just be honest, nobody really cares about NES/GB today (Facebook whining is irrelevant). The games are too primitive to enjoy now, unlike SNES/GBA.
Without an account system and cross compatibility, it's pretty stupid to be spreading games across platforms by mixing handheld/home console games. The idiots in charge of this need to wake up.
@ikki5 NES games are far too old and unplayable for the majority of people to care about nowadays. A few whining fanboys can't be equated to an army, lol.
These so called Nintendo cameos just seem like some fanboy BS, to me.
More likely that it's related to that Tearaway game, which actually DOES look similar.
@XFsWorld Very sure. Just look at Pokemon (overworld), Zelda ALBW, New Yoshi Island, Mario & Luigi, NSMB2 etc.. with their ugly low-budget visuals. Rarely do we ever see anything actually impressive from them.
@barnetbee1 It's just golf, we all know what to expect from the generic Nintendo sports entry, i.e. not much, content wise. I wouldn't even consider buying if i didn't like golf games. Still won't be worth more than £15-20, to me.
@Xaltheron Did it even get a demo? if not, that 'give the game a chance first' expectation is stupid. Seeing the gameplay is enough for most people to judge it for themselves. The reviews only reinforce that the game is awful.
Hopefully its sales drop off a cliff, momentarily.
@TwilightPoint Your point is worthless... How does being 'targeted at kiddies' somehow absolve the game from criticism? It's a pitifully, low quality clone of the original. The target audience is irrelevant to that.
Also, why are people listing their scores of it here, when all they've played is the first few levels? lol
Until they provide us with proper accounts (Iwata already stated this won't happen on current platforms, btw), all other points are irrelevant. I won't support anything from them, digitally.
@CanisWolfred When you get stuck in a game, and the only option left is to waste time with grinding (instead of changing strategy). It's just bad design imo. I come to the realization that i'd rather be playing something else, at that point. Grinding sucks, period.
@Action51 I find that the people whining about others opinions by calling them entitled etc.. are far more petulant and irritating. Especially the way they/you fabricate something to complain about (as if anyone here has been 'demanding' anything).
@Kujibiki It was almost unavoidable for SD to end up as awful, being a mere remake of the first game (dumb choice for them to redo the earliest, if any). Awakening had no excuse.
It'll suck if future entries follow in Awakening's footsteps.
@MorriganIsHot Actually, it came back in 7. But still hovers/flies and hardly changes its behaviour, despite the lack of wings. Expect the same thing in 8, if you buy it.
@Shroom_Muncher There's no shame in saying it. Under Iwata, Nintendo are doomed for sure. He's a clueless buffoon who's been making empty promises for years.
Off-TV play is such a worthless feature.... People buy home console games to play them on the TV! You'd think the people talking about how amazing it is, have never heard of handhelds before.
@TwoTheNines "That it's been more geared for young players doesn't make it a bad game."
Sure it does. I played/enjoyed the original as a kid, which was no result of the developer trying to excessively appeal to a young audience. By doing so now however, they've completely lost my interest. The graphics, slow gameplay, and lullaby music are huge turn-offs. What good reason do they have for specifically designing this for 5 year olds?... it's just uncalled for.
@LittleIrves "Are people really concerned about the story in a Yoshi game?
Why not? This isn't the Mario Bros. series y'know, it hasn't built up some untold rule that confines them to rehashing the same concept repeatedly. You afraid to experience something new, or what?
Just scanning this lump of text, you see this being mentioned around 10 times, at least. It's clear to see what their focus will actually be...
I honestly believe that Nintendo are screwed until they can get rid of the senile group running things atm. This 'QOL' pipe-dream is going to blow up in their faces.
@Hy8ogen LOL, like that makes any difference to what my point was in the first place. Btw, you are wrong yet again. After the first 48 hours is when it was tracked, so it easily could have outsold it within the first day.

Re: Features: The Biggest 3DS Games of 2014 - Spring Edition
I'm hoping they finally decide to release SMT4 this year, at some point. That and Smash are the only games left to be interested in. The rest is junk.

Lol, that was enough to discredit this immediately. Iwata fears competition.

Graphics are impressive, that's pretty rare coming from a Nintendo game. The Miis are the only repulsive thing on display there.
I'll buy if the price ever drops (likely not then). A golf game costing 30/above?... yeah no. Just ensures It will be ignored by all but fanboys.

Nintendo's download platform isn't worth supporting, it's an inferior joke.
I'll look forward to buying this elsewhere.
Re: Soapbox: Ignoring The Objectification Of Women In Games Won't Make the Problem Go Away
The idea that somebody could actually be offended by these game's existence, is stupefying to me. The disgust/outrage is so fake, it's embarrassing.

Crappy developers like this should be regulated to eShop-only junk. There's no way this abomination deserves the treatment of a full retail release.

Lol see, this is why i said people should just play the original instead. There's literally nothing new to experience in this failed clone of a game.
Oh look, it's starting to get abysmal review scores already. Cue surprise!
