@ErnisDy @Kaze_Memaryu Ghostlight only handled distribution and translation. It was Atlus' job to apply the translated text and adjust it to match the specifications of the PAL 3DS. Ghostlight are in no way developers themselves.

The 64 should have had a disc drive straight from factory. IMO, it's a horrible system which dwelled behind it's competition, the PS1 the entire gen. Even though the PS1 is 2 years older technology.
Funny how back in the day Nintendo's SNES stood up better against the PS1 than the N64 did.
@ljinkakidd I've just done extensive research and this is what I found out. Square was doing fantastic before hand. But when Spirits Within bombed they lost the vast majority of their money. However. The merge was planned before Spirits Within. FFX got Square well and truly back on their feet. But then Sakaguchi left to make movies and sold his 51% of the Final Fantasy brand to Square. The merge happened after Sakaguchi left and Square got back on their feet. Enix refused to merge with them in their initially money crisis.
@ljinkakidd Sure. You expect me to believe that the company who has one of the best selling videos games of all time was having money issues? In 2003 around 80-85 million Final Fantasy games alone sold. And that's just one series.
Australia's seasons are the opposite of that in the northern hemisphere. Then it's winter for you, it's summer for us and vice versa. When it's autumn for you it's Spring for us and vice versa.
Then again there are plenty more moronic comments above thinking everywhere has summer in July.
@bofis I think both are pretty bad actually. I still think the best ones were GameCube's and PS2's when the OS will only actually have an interface shown if you started the system without a disc.
@DePapier I think Sony is a better example. High price but quality higher end systems. Not to mention they use standard media storage, not silly Wii U discs. They also have Japanese and American developed games. While Nintendo is 99% Japanese made games.
I've loved Square since the SNES days but my god have they done almost nothing right recently. The last good thing they did was develop The World Ends With You and the remake of FF4, but they barely promoted it and gave FF4DS such a short print run. Before that there was FF12 which people seem to either hate or love it. (I personally love it) And before that was FF10.
I'm glad this happened. Maybe now they can get their flagship franchise, Final Fantasy back to it's former SNES and PS1 glory status. Stop focusing on phones and ports. Don't announce things so early. Localize games people want to PAL regions and North America (Type-0, Bravely Default for example). Online FFs - At least don't make them part of the main series if they have to exist. And a whole ton of others.
@rezyac There's a difference between aged and aged poorly. I'm not defending Zelda at all saying it hasn't aged badly. Simply put I said he word doesn't hold much merit considering he wasn't around at the time.
I love popping in my original Zelda, I think it's a great game still to this day and an absolute classic. Yeah sure it's aged some-what-poorly in my opinion, but so has 99% of the NES library.
@CapnPancakes No disrespect but your profile says you're 16. You're an N64 kid not a NES kid. You would have never played NES in it's prime so you cannot state how it's "aged" from an objective point of view.
So wait, when it says "Earlier this year Nintendo of Europe confirmed a Spring release" does that mean Nintendo themselves are printing physical copies?
I hope so, I refuse to buy digital games and I want this.
@retro_player_22 I admit, I know just about everything there is to know about Nintendo, Sony and Square, but not so educated on Sega and what have you. I may be wrong, but out of the titles you listed no other made an impact on the gaming community such as Chrono Trigger. The game still holds up today as one of the best games of all time, if not the greatest. It's an arguable point. Chrono Cross though is one of Square's titles. And more or less a spiritual successor to Chrono Trigger.
Anybody remember the hype building up to the DS? Nintendo stated that the DS was NOT a successor to the GameBoy, but merely it's own thing. So, maybe we will be seeing a new GameBoy? One screen, no touch screen. Just pure gaming. "GameBoy II", I like that name.
There's no point to this. Heck. Wouldn't it be cheaper to just give every region the same version of the game? On PCB boards the lockout chip was external to that of the ROM chip, so it's not anything to do with NTSC VC titles won't run on PAL and vice versa.
Nintendo you never seem to get everything right, why?
@hiptanaka But that's what I don't get, why is it a huge selling point? I've kept all my Nintendo consoles and handhelds since the NES and GameBoy in the case that I would want to play it, why can't people just seem to hold up to systems as oppose to throwing them out the second the successor system is released? Nothing beats playing games on their intended system with the intended controller. We should only get remakes of games that have not aged well. In which case should just be a handful NES and a fair chunk of the N64 library being early in their era.

Re: Shin Megami Tensei IV Launches This July In North America
@Tech101 I hate hearing Americans cry like a baby over their already cheap as hell games. Try living anywhere else and you'll see how annoying it is.

@DarkCoolEdge I hope you know that it's Atlus' fault that is screwed up and not Ghostlight's.
Re: LulzSec Members Who Hacked Nintendo Plead Guilty To Charges
"Hacking" groups like this are the definition of moronic.
Re: Project X Zone Release Date Confirmed in North America
Oh look. Another game which Europe/Oceania is a 2nd thought and putting N. America first.
How shocking.
Re: Pandora's Tower Release Date Announced for North America
@Urbanhispanic TLS is far better imo.
Re: Indie Dev Island Officials Turning To Kickstarter To Fund Boxed DS Game
I refuse to buy things virtually, but I haven't given indie teams much love. If this does get a physically release I'll definitely look into it.

Re: Intelligent Systems Isn't Done With Advance Wars Just Yet
I've only got the 2 Advance Wars on the DS but I love them. I will happily buy one if it makes 3DS or Wii U.

Re: Shin Megami Tensei IV Coming To North American 3DS Consoles This Summer
I hate ATLUS' publishing team, they don't care for us in PAL regions.
I wish somebody in the UK or whatnot will pick it up.

Re: Talking Point: An Open Letter To Nintendo
I agree with everything but his Zelda comment.
Majora's Mask was far better than OoT imo, and Wind Waker was close to OoT. But I thought Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword were jokes so yeah.

I feel insulted even reading this.

I will never ever buy a game digitally.

@Mazor775 Better yet. Ditch the Wii name completely.
Re: Review: Need for Speed: Most Wanted U (Wii U)
I haven't enjoyed a Need for Speed game since the PS1 days.
But this does look interesting. I will wait for it to end up in the bargain bin.
Re: No Updates Planned For Resident Evil: Revelations On 3DS
I have the 3DS version and love it.
But I feel it would be more scary in HD, so I will be picking up the Wii U version as well.

What's the point? DS games are region free.

Filled with video game references, mainly oldschool but the style of writing indicates it's for children. Makes. No. Sense.
