@BlackSpy What's this got to do with Xbox or PlayStation? Either way 3D Sonic games have been rubbish since the Dreamcast with the exception of Generations. 99% of future Sonic games will be awful regardless of platform.
No way will I play a game like Monster Hunter on the cruddy 3DS. Wii U would be fine but unlikely. Even more unlikely but even better would be Vita or PS4.
@Nomad Excuse the late reply. I bet you forgot all the other great Sony exclusive games. FF7-10, Suikoden 1-5, Star Ocean 2-3, Metal Gear Solid 1-4, Resident Evil 3 (limited), Alundra 1-2, Ghost in the Shell, Castlevania SOTN (English), Parasite Eve 1-2, Tactics Ogre, good Crash Bandicoots, Tombi, etc. You get the point. Stop hating. Sega killed themselves. Their only good consoles are the Mega Drive and the Dreamcast anyways.
If it wasn't for DS flash cards (Supercard in my situation) I wouldn't have bought any where near the amount of games I did for the system. I own 61 games for the DS, without my flash card I wouldn't have ever bought any of the Ace Attorneys, The World Ends With You, Elite Beat Agents, Ouendan 1 and 2, Advance Wars and many others.
@Chomposaur They're far to big to go bust within the foreseeable future. Now I know you're about to point me to articles about them having 150M in the bank, but what people seem to forget is that they can sell off IPs and assets before throwing in the towel.
Good on them. I've been very upset with Capcom throughout the whole PS3/Wii gen up til now. I also hate it when Japanese publishers outsource to Westerns, so good news all round it seems.
In Australia at the moment, it seems PlayStation has most of the spotlight. It seems ever since the N64, Nintendo has been on a steep sloop downwards. :
I'm glad. I know no one who uses 2 different skill sets per battle, so it gives them the added special + down move for Zelda/Sheik and more flexibility to Samus.
Oh look guys, another Nintendolife writer who probably didn't grow up with a NES so thinks all the great games are mediocre. Nothing to see here. The only time I've ever seen a NES game get a good score here is when it's Mario or Zelda. Pretty sad.
What's with all the unfair scores of NES games here? Is no writer older than 20 and able to put themselves in the shoes of a gamer in the 80s and very early 90s? This game is great.
@kuribo4 True. Iwata proved he was able to get 3rd party support on GameCube when he took over as CEO but he threw those ideas out the window for the Wii and Wii U.
If he can't fix their main problem then someone else needs to. NES and SNES remains my favourite 2 Nintendo consoles for good reasons.
While the man did some great things with the GameCube (exclusive deals with Sega and Capcom) and created the DS. He did make the 3DS, Wii and Wii U. 3 systems which have positives but overall are not worthy to be a part of their predecessors linage. He had a handful of good ideas, which he executed in his first few years as CEO. But he is no longer worth it. Nintendo needs a new head.
This is great news. Konami, like most Japanese companies have stagnated and are now irrelevant. Koji seems to be the only Japanese who will not be stubborn and listen to fan's requests. I hope he makes a spiritual successor to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
"the same kind I think fans of my past games want as well." I hope more Japanese developers/publishers will think like you good sir, godspeed.
@Falco Maybe you're right. The way I see it, the system has a very fine line between the good and bad titles. The titles that are really good, are phenomenal and some of the best games ever made. But the vast majority of that system to me is junk. But hey that's my opinion. I had a SNES before hand and preferred the PS1 for the 32/64 bit gen.
@noctowl Apples and oranges, you can't compare the two. Nothing wrong with liking one and not the other, but Nintendo Life is infested with fanboys who hate something because Nintendo's name isn't plastered over it. If someone doesn't like inFAMOUS because <justified non-fanboy reason here> then I couldn't care less.
@Jazzer94 Either way, I looked at the promotional videos Nintendo Life posted and called it quits on the spot. Knew it was nothing more than another modern age terrible Japanese game. I just remember someone mentioning it was a fighter. Never mind me.
We should boycott the game because it's a God-awful game. Want a fighter? Go and play Tekken, Street Fighter or something with depth. Not this sorry excuse.
Mario 64 was OK, but like 99% of the N64 library, critically overrated. Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 outshine Mario 64 in every way possible. The Galaxy games have a camera that works for starters.
@LetsGoRetro More people need to know the wonders of Suikoden 1 and 2. Awesome game man, if you haven't played it (probably have since you know my avatar but still) enjoy. It's a masterpiece.
It would be nice but not dire. Not many Nintendo IPs have good music. The only ones I can think of are DK and Fire Emblem. Zeldas all right and Mario Galaxy had great music. But that's all.
While I rooted for Nintendo during the 8 and 16 bit days. When Nintendo and Sega released the boring N64 and Saturn I bought a Master System and Mega Drive. Still got them and love old school Sega and Nintendo, but Nintendo was better in my eyes.

Galaxy 1 and 2 are the best 3D platformers of all time. inb4 nostalgic young 2X year old claiming the 64 has better.

@Nomad I hate Sony for creating cancer and world hunger too.
Re: EA Explains Why It's Abandoning Dedicated Handhelds For Smartphones And Tablets
The last time EA did anything worth while was back on the PS1. They've been on a money sloop downwards ever since.

Capcom; if you release this to the EU and it gets a physical release, you may have my money.

@SetupDisk You like both, therefore you're obviously not some blind Nintendo or Sony fanboy.
