I bought this game. I really like this game. As others have said, this game struggles on all platforms but isn't a game where frame rate matters as much. This game does have a few problems but it's an excellent game despite them. A score of 5 doesn't reflect this at all.
My path through the world of games started with the 8-bit computers of the early to mid 80s then went Sega MegaDrive, PC, GameBoy Advance, PC again, PS2, PS3, PS4 and now Nintendo Switch so I haven't played a lot of these games and certainly not in their NES guises. I've played some in arcades, some as ports or clones on other systems. I'm looking forward to playing some of these NES games especially Ghouls N Ghosts which I played in the arcade and on MegaDrive (though I don't think the NES version would be as good).
Yes, I'd prefer SNES games but I can see these NES games being a nice distraction at times.
I've been thinking about getting this for PS4 for months now but I know I won't be able to put the time in. Switch is a different matter though due to being portable so I may well pull the trigger sometime in the next few days.
It's a very train themed weekend for me. I'm playing Mini Metro on Switch as my casual game but I'm spending most of my time playing Train Sim World on PS4.
Seeing as I bought Hollow Knight this week in the sale I'll be playing that some more. And Stardew Valley because I'm really hooked again now. And Octopath Traveler.
I don't like football and I know nothing about it but for some reason I like playing football management games. The first one I played was Football Manager on the ZX-81! I stopped playing over the last decade or so as they've become so complex. The FM Touch is just complex enough for me. I bought FM18 in a sale and don't need that latest stats to enjoy the game (I wouldn't know if the players were accurate or not!) so I probably won't be getting this one.
I've been playing Stardew Valley again in the evenings. I recently started a new farm to check something out and haven't stopped since. I've even managed to sort of get the hang of fishing.
I'm also still working my way through Octopath Traveller and Titan Quest. Both are fantastic games so I'm going be moving between the se 2 this weekend with Stardew Valley in the evenings.
I've been playing more Octopath but also played Mario Kart 8 and Stardew Valley so tomorrow will be more of the same, possibly with some Sky Rogue and Cat Quest. Obviously I lack concentration this weekend!
I'll be continuing Octopath Traveller and will be having a blast with Paladins but in the evenings when my partner is watching TV I'm also going to be playing Captain Toad a little more and Cat Quest, which I picked up in a sale this week.
I've been playing Paladins on PS4 for a few weeks now and really like it. I much prefer it to Fortnite but for multiplayer shooters I still prefer Splatoon 2. I don't seem to be able to get into this sort of team based shooter but I'm still trying to find my role and character I think.
Edit: I'm finding the controls very tough in handheld though. I may save this for docked only. Also, it needs motion controls.
I liked the demo more than I thought I would. As I prefer RPGs to puzzle games I'll be getting Octopath Traveller on Friday but will certainly buy Captain Toad in the future, especially if I ever see it in a sale.
I've been playing Pocket Rumble since it came out so I was playing that today. I also played Limbo today (so good!) so that's 2 games I'll be playing tomorrow too.
I also played a few hours of No Man's Sky on PS4. I haven't played that in so long.
@thesilverbrick This new mode is the only reason I downloaded it again. It's incredibly frustrating when my game only lasts a couple of minutes because I don't know what I'm doing and have had no practice.
@Namelessd I hear that there are players who only play sports games. Apparently this is why EA can release yearly updates. If that's true then there maybe a whole new market for the Switch in the US with NFL, NBA & MLB games.
I've downloaded Fortnite and plan to give it a go (now I've finally managed to find a display name that wasn't taken) but I've had experiences with online games in the past so I hope this one in newbie friendly.
@Namelessd I was going to say the exact same thing. I haven't bought a PS4 game since getting the Switch because I never get to play them.
After the Battlefront loot box "scandal" I promised I wouldn't buy anymore EA games but I'd make an exception for Madden (as long as it's not pay to play or anything like that of course).

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 20th)
I'm new to Dark Souls so I'll be playing that. Depending on how things pan out I may also get in a bit of Train Sim World on PS4 or Madden 09 on PS3.

Re: Read Comic Books On The Go With InkyPen, The First Worldwide App For Nintendo Switch
If they have a guided view like the Comixology app it could work, maybe using ZL and ZR to move left and right between panels.
Having said that, I've invested quite heavily in Comixology so I'll stick with that for a while at least.

Re: Rumour: Leak Signals Blizzard's Diablo 3 Will Unleash Hell On Switch This Year
I love Diablo 3 so yes, I will be buying the Switch version even though I've bought it for PS3 and PS4.
Re: Review: Flipping Death (Switch)
This had slipped under my radar. It sounds really interesting so on the Wishlist it goes.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend?
For me it's Octopath mainly with a bit of Sonic.
I managed to get Captain Toad fairly cheaply and it's fantastic so I'll be putting a couple of hours into that too.

Re: Review: Limbo (Switch eShop)
I'd only recently heard of Limbo and never played it so I was happy to see it on Switch. I love it! I decided to play this first then play Inside.
