The workplace practices and culture obviously worked well since they produced some quality work. The only thing employees need to decide is if the renumeration is enough. If not, move on.
It is a fun racer but a big problem is that these characters are not cosmetic - they have their own attacks and stats like speed and handling. Squall can be unlocked with earned in-game currency Gil, but getting Cloud requires you to pay for the battlepass and grind out the levels, otherwise you can get battlepass extra for a lot more cash and skip that. Also, any bgm tracks don’t seem to change the music. You still get the same annoying and cheesy vocal jpop song on an endless loop.
He’s right that the N64 controller wasn’t the best or most practical. Xbox gave us the peak controller which the Pro Controller emulated. I still love the GameCube controller though.
Got to agree with the majority of sentiment here. It should just be in the main game and this is a very anti-consumer move by Square Enix. It's not like we have a shortage of upcoming kart racing anyway.
@Banjo- @ModdedInkling It’s not usual to get the rights renewed so that old games based on movie IPs can be sold again. Although Scott Pilgrim coming back happened, and Disney have been pretty relaxed with the Lucasart games in recent years.
This comments section is a laugh. Out and proud edgy communists defending Saudi society that chops off heads whilst being so upset over game developer workplace culture.
Is the video game fun and enjoyable? That is the only important question. Playing classic Pong with a friend is more fun than a lot of modern graphically intensive games.
@TheRedComet Same - Apple One makes more sense than getting individual services. FANTASIAN is top quality for a mobile game. I believe it has music by Nobuo Uematsu and the beautiful backgrounds were made with actual dioramas and models that they photographed and scanned.
I will never understand some of these decisions. It’s like they’re allergic to money. Persona 3, 4 and 5 would sell like crazy on the Switch, but we get strange spin-off games only.
I think he means well with that suggestion but I’m not convinced. I don’t like the idea of being tracked across multiple devices and services with different companies. Since I switched to console I noticed much less cheating than on PC anyway.
It makes what Xbox did with the accessibility controllers really awesome. I doubt they will make much money from those with the R&D put into it, but it’s a nice move. There are many disabled people who value videogaming in their life much more that others who aren’t limited by activities or lifestyle.
@CactusMan Exactly. The replica model isn’t going to affect the value of the actual 1953 Ferrari. In fact it would make the real thing more sought after.
@sanderev Your examples don’t make any sense. ROMs are the equivalent of being given a replica of the Ferrari. They didn’t pay anything and it isn’t worth any resale value either. Nintendo made money selling the games. Collectors have a tangible product that is worth money and runs the best experience. Win-win for everyone.
@AugustusOxy They will disappear as soon as Nintendo inevitably close the servers. The only way to re-download them will be ROM dumps. I hope Nintendo prove me wrong and make purchase history available on all future consoles, but I doubt it.
As soon as UK ISPs had to block specific p2p torrent sites, THOUSANDS of proxy sites were created to provide even more access. Anyone can access The Pirate Bay in thousands of locations to this day. Nintendo should focus on making Nintendo Switch Online better so that piracy isn’t worth it.
