Re: Gallery: Nintendo Shares More Screenshots Of Pokémon Legends: Arceus For Switch

@wolvesboy I totally agree with you. I can barely ever read a Pokemon comment thread on here (or anywhere) because it is just so hard to read. I am a recent Pokemon fan and I just enjoy playing the games, why are people obsessed with the graphics in a Pokemon game?? Honestly, it started out on a handheld with a tinge of green for the screen and was pixel as all crap, but it was the gameplay people fell in love with. If you are worried about how a tree looks or some grass then maybe gaming is not for you 🤷‍♂️

Re: Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack Release Date And Pricing Revealed

Aussiephoenix83

I think my favourite comments are “The price is too high, thank goodness I am getting a steam deck!” Happy to spend $800 on a steam deck to illegally emulate the games unhappy to give the company who made the game the extra $30 a year to play them!!

Money makes people so mad! These comments are so crazily full of anger and hate. Go through everything you spend your money on in a year and tell me you make wise, perfect financial decisions on every game you buy, every subscription you own… honestly just don’t buy it if it is not for you! Far out!

Re: Soapbox: Pokémon Legends: Arceus' Release Date Worries Me, But Hopefully I'm Wrong

I think some people forget that as Nintendo/Pokemon fans we scrutinise the games so much- but according to the latest sale figures Sword and Shield sold over 20 million copies! So I don’t think there are a lot of people who are disappointed with GameFreak, maybe hardcore fans and players but Pokemon is going to sell and yes, I agree it is rough right now but this game is going to sell and at the end of the day GameFreak is a business.

Re: Soapbox: Why Sword And Shield's Pokémon Purge Will Benefit Everyone

I don’t normally leave a comment on articles because I just enjoy the read or agree with the comments. I am not a hardcore Pokémon fan. I have dipped in and out of the series casually playing X, Sun and Let’s Go. As a casual fan of the series “catching them all” is not a priority. I get a party of Pokémon and build them up over time to be strong enough. Usually using the same Pokémon for most of my journey. Therefore my take on this whole Pokédex issue is a lot of casual players out there are not going to care about this, in fact it makes me feel a little relieved that there are not going to be 1000+ Pokémon to catch. I would not even go close to attempting that.

Also another point, we hear of developer’s over working and getting burnt out all the time. When these issues pop up we all defend the developers and are like don’t over work them just get the best game out. I feel like when people say “Just get more developers” is a horrible way of looking at human life. It is just a game guys and people’s mental health and welfare is far more important than 1000+ Pokémon! I would rather a better game then knowing developers worked ridiculous hours to just try and recreate all these Pokémon. Just be thankful you are getting a new game. Sometimes our first world problems sound a bit petty!

Re: Nintendo Appears at Apple Conference to Announce Super Mario Run

Wow I was super pumped when I saw Miyamoto get on stage at the Apple event. I mean even that is cool exposure in itself. I then eagerly come on Nintendo Life to find like minded excited Nintendo fan only to find that they're nowhere to be seen. We have really turned into the fans that complain about everything now. Obviously this game was not made with hardcore fans in mind. No offence to anyone here but if they made mobile games for us hardcore fans they wouldn't make much money because we don't actually play mobile games. These mobile games are like Nintendo advertising for people who have never played a Nintendo console or for lapsed Nintendo fans. I think parterning with apple today was genius and the exposure was fantastic for us long term Nintendo fans. More money going into Nintendo more time and effort they'll put into hardcore gaming. I miss the days of excited Nintendo fan, now we all whinge about everything. Off I go now to live in my own bubble of excitement.

No worries man! I am a passionate Nintendo fan like yourself. I hate that Nintendo are the underdogs at the moment and deep down I just want them to come out with something that will be amazing again and where the media is celebrating Nintendo again. It's been a tough few years being a Nintendo fan and I just want the company to come out with something that will blow our minds.

I understand that a portable playing home console quality games on the go is an amazing feet. To be able to then play on the TV is great too. It just doesn't feel very wow for me in terms of getting Nintendo out of this Nintendoom phase. I am sure they have it all sorted and it will be a million times better then what I am currently thinking. I hope when they finally show off the NX I will be pumped and ready to buy one. In fact even if the games are amazing I'll be there.

I see your point about taking your gaming everywhere too! This is a great concept. There is no doubt it is a great concept I just hope Nintendo do not bugger it up by trying to just make a better Wii U gamepad.

PS I love my Wii U my concerns mostly stem from wanting to see Nintendo succeed again.

@JaxonH
If you think I am that stupid to think it's a telepathic console good on you! I have been a Nintendo fan for 25 years! I know what they have done in gaming mate.

To be so flippant to say all the Wii did was bring in a little thing called motion controls is a bit ridiculous when it really was a brand new way to play games that everyone could play. Also the DS bringing in touch screen gaming! That's huge and again a brand new concept at the time. I agree that GCN and Wii U were more iterations and smaller steps in terms of uniqueness.

I do like how you think these were not crazy outlandish ideas but in reality they were unique and new for the time. Also I am not saying the console is going to be anything outlandish such as a popcorn maker too however the concept of the rumoured NX does fall a little flat for me.

Let's look at the fact. The Wii U was the poorest selling console in Nintendo's history. It would not make sense for a company to design their next console around almost the same idea. They might as well call it Wii U 2. But Nintendo have already stated the NX will not be part of the Wii family. Also if this rumour is true all Nintendo have done is to allow the gamepad to be played as a portable gaming device. Which is really just a step in a direction.

I am just not buying the whole thing. I am happy to be proven wrong however and I hope Nintendo wow their audience with the NX.

I mean everyone seems a bit ho hum on the idea.

Re: Rumour: Detachable NX Controllers Will Offer Wii-Like Motion Control And Advanced Force Feedback

I'm so confused at what NX is! I mean Nintendo basically saying this is a brand new concept and that's why they don't want to reveal it just yet but on the other hand all these rumours are just pointing to a slightly more powerful Wii U gamepad with detachable controllers! That is not brand new and I think I am actually not that excited about the idea to be honest!

I have been suffering from Anxiety the last two years and I have to say I have been out walking a heap since I have gotten Pokemon Go and I have felt the best I have felt in ages! I look forward to playing Pokemon Go and going outside with it. It's a fun way to relax and take yourself into another world for a few hours! I am also super excited when talking to people about it!

Re: Nintendo Set To License All IP to Mobile Publisher DeNA

Aussiephoenix83

When I first read about this a little part of me was not happy, sort of sad in a way that Nintendo has had to give up it's traditions and values to jump into mobile gaming. Now I have had some time to think about it, it is definitely the right decision for Nintendo to go onto mobile platforms. I like the idea that they will make exclusive games for the smart phones too! I would hate to see them just lazily port existing games as this would devalue those games. Nintendo have said some very strong statements today and I think they need to act quickly. Nintendo make strong comments sometimes and do not follow through, this needs to be done and needs to be done now! I just hope this means Nintendo will have one unified account with all it's systems and that the next console will be powerful and kick Sony and Microsoft out of the park.
