Re: Pragmata Looks Awesome In New Switch 2 Trailer, Free Demo Arrives Today

ATMVF

Nice to see a lot of positive comments about the demo! I totally agree. I was also one that thought the hacking part might be overwhelming or too difficult along with the combat, but it works really well by using the face buttons and not the joystick, which is what I thought might be used for the hacking (I didn't read any previews to find out the specifics), so I'm glad I got a chance to experience it.

I very much look forward to the full game!

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting The Switch 2 Upgrade For Super Mario Bros. Wonder?

ATMVF

@Mana_Knight I think the main extra mode only has local play and game share and it contains 17 minigames (or whatever they might be called in this game), but there is another mode just for matchmaking with random people that contains 6 minigames and those minigames seem to allow for more people compared to the mode with local play only.

So, hopefully those 6 minigames are pretty replayable and fun for us! If you get the game/upgrade pack that is.
And hopefully the single player content is also decently sized.

Re: UK Charts: Kirby Is Nowhere To Be Seen In A Quiet Week

ATMVF

I'm not planning to buy the game, but my main reason for that is I'm not interested in a game where I know (or am pretty sure) that the online community won't be alive after a few years (or sooner).

I don't know if other people think this way, but I've started coming to this mindset after buying a few games where this has happened.

So, I'd rather stick to something like Mario Kart World where it's such a big name, that the online will be active for several years, and so I like knowing that years from now I'll still easily be able to find opponents online.
That also adds value, for me; a lot of value, actually. Plus, I do actually like Mario Kart World.

If I had the game, I'd most likely spend most of my time in Air Ride mode as that was my favourite mode in the demo, even though I couldn't try it out online. City Trial wasn't my cup of tea, as I do prefer racing as opposed to whatever one might call what City Trial is.

Anyway, I'm glad a lot of people that have this game enjoy it.
I can tell a lot of passion and care went into the game, as well as content, so that is great to see. I did very much enjoy watching the two Nintendo Directs for this game.

Each to their own!

Re: Capcom Has "No Plan" At This Stage For A Resident Evil Requiem Demo

ATMVF

@LazyDaisy Oh yeah, cool! That rings a bell, I do recall hearing Village wasn't as scary as Resident Evil 7. Maybe I'll do better with that, perhaps even on normal difficulty!
I'm planning to replay 7 because I played it around the time it came out, then Village, and then the new one.

And thank you for the reassurance regarding difficulty levels! Ha, nice to hear that not only have you also done runs with these games on the easier/assisted difficulty modes, but you also enjoyed them the same or even more than your runs on normal/hard difficulty modes; I did not expect that! But that's cool to know.

I mean, that's why there are difficulty options, right? So that more people can enjoy the game however they see fit, so I shall do that

Re: Capcom Has "No Plan" At This Stage For A Resident Evil Requiem Demo

ATMVF

@LazyDaisy Cool, I didn't know that, and I did like Resident Evil 7!

And I've always wanted to play Village, and this new game coming out soon too; good times!

I've told myself it's fine to play these horror games, but perhaps on the easier difficulty. I think I get freaked out more than I used to when it comes to horror games, so I'll probably play through in the easier modes, ha. Well, I guess a lot of that also comes from the resource management which makes things extra stressful, but I do enjoy horror-y stuff.

Re: Mini Review: Handy Hockey (Switch 2) - Mouse Mode Multiplayer That Does Exactly What It Says On The Tin

ATMVF

I decided to buy it after some uncertainty.
I like it!
Split screen would have been nice, but playing upside down-like was alright, I personally thought.

I can see why the tracking of the bat(?) works the way it does. I think it would be harder to track if the bat didn't reflect the movement based on whatever angle the user chooses.

It might not be as realistic with some angles, but it's still fun, I think.
Split screen would be good, though, and online! Perhaps a bigger company (Nintendo?) will release their own version, along with other mouse-orientated games with online, and more features, but Handy Hockey is still fun, and very cheap to boot.

Here's to (hopefully) more mouse-y games in the future (please)!

@Talkshowhost

Ohhhh, I see what you're saying.
I didn't think of that. I had heard about the lack of split screen which I was a bit disappointed about, but I didn't think that the game could work in the way you described no matter what the orientation would be.

I did think the game would function as it does now, dependent on the orientation, but you brought up a great point.

I've been on the fence for a couple days about buying this one or not!
Decisions..
Ha.

Thanks for your reply.

@tapdancingtommy

Thank you very much for your reply, and the video you uploaded!
Ha, I actually stumbled upon your video and gave it a thumbs up before I initially wrote a comment here tagging you. That was a helpful video, and your comment is helpful.

I'm still a bit on the fence, because I'd mainly use this for two players, and I also just saw your response to somebody on your YouTube video about the lack of split screen when using the dock, and one player having to play upside down.

I'll think about it; as you said, it's quite cheap, anyway.
Maybe a split screen mode will be added some time, but I don't have much hope. Maybe I'll contact the developers 🙂

Thank you!

Re: Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour Receives Its First Update (Version 1.0.1)

ATMVF

@Suketoudara Ha, nice. I do recall having a few laughs at some of the dialogue. I can't recall the first instance you mentioned, but I do recall the latter exchange!

I agree with you, it definitely had some charm.
Sometimes I wished there were more minigames compared to quizzes, but I probably just need to focus more on the minigames, and perhaps just do the quizzes every now and then.

I didn't actually know that NDcube developed Welcome Tour, there you go! Cool.
That does remind me, because I did enjoy some of the dialogue exchanges in 51 Worldwide Classics, with the humour and such. Cool!

Re: Switch 2's HDR Looking Washed Out On Your TV? Here's The Fix

ATMVF

I've been looking into this, too..without previously knowing about any of this business.
I have a TV seemingly without HGiG and previously had this issue with the suns not appearing as they should.

In the end I turned off HDR from the Switch 2 settings, as I saw quite a few were doing that, too.

Maybe there'll be some update or easy guide from Nintendo to make this all a bit more straightforward in the future! Especially for those without the HGiG option.

Otherwise, I'll happily stick to non-HDR, as I don't usually notice all these types of visual alterations too much. I'm still very much enjoying the Switch 2, nonetheless.
