Kid Icarus: Uprising AR Cards Now Available on Club Nintendo Europe
Posted by Thomas Whitehead
Pay with stars, not cash
Last week we made sure those of you in North America knew all about the free Kid Icarus: Uprising AR card giveaway, but thankfully European gamers don't need to miss out.
If you head on over to the European Stars Catalogue, you may notice that at the top of the list is a set of 12 Kid Icarus: Uprising AR cards, available for 250 stars. It's not a huge price to pay — it's five download game registrations, for example — so may be worthwhile to get your collection up and running. The North American package was free and contained three named cards, whereas the European pack has 12 random cards.
We'll keep an eye out for details on other AR card promotions on both sides of the Atlantic.

Still not a single word about the availability of the cards in the European countries that Nintendo doesn't consider to be a part of Europe.

@nick_gc I wonder whether stars are awarded automatically for eShop games, as I seemed to have more than I expected when I logged in, with eShop downloads showing as 'registered'. I still have the option to claim 50 stars on my older DSiWare downloads (which were also made on the 3DS).
I'm not 100% sure, actually

@nick_gc and @ThomasBW84 yes if you connected your 3DS to your club Nintendo account, then it does give you coins for completing a survey. Man, I wish I could get 12 AR cards, but I still thank you Nintendo for the 3 free ones!!!

Good to know but I can't get these because I'm a Finn. Are they going to sell these in game stores too, or what? Not sure if I would buy any of them though, especially if they're more than 5 euros a pack....

If there are really over 300 cards, CN NOA really does need to offer this. I have my 3 free ones and the one in Game Informer for now though.

@Zero123 The Australian Club Nintendo isn't as great as some of the others but it isn't that bad. You seem to forget that the blooper fan is a fairly new item (the first two fans were Animal Crossing and Mario) and that some items have dissapeared from the store. There was the Kirby pouch a while ago for example and the SNES Classic Controller before that.
Oh, and the Zelda Posters and G&W2 are both very recent additions.

I thought only a certain amount of cards would be available through club Nintendo.
The cards that come with the game are selected from a pile of 20, I thought club Nintendo was doing this as well?
I just ordered 22 packs from club Nintendo though.

Is 250 stars on Europe CN the same as 250 coins in America? If so, thats way more here than 5 eShop game registrations, here that's 5 retail registrations.
#26
SkywardLink98 said:
And I'd prefer buying them at retail locations for a couple of dollars.
#27
TwilightPoint said:
@SkywardLink98 you get 250 stars for registering a £33+ game (RRP) or one 3DS game.
So the cards are very cheap for us, the most expensive thing on club Nintendo is a golden Link statue (15000 stars). I was saving up for it... not anymore I'm not.
