I'm trying to figure out why they're making a "Golden Mario"... I can't wait to see what it does when I get my hands on the game.

ShinyGold said:

Oh Yeah This is just like the normal mario bros on ds but tanooki mario has been added and i know what golden mario is Invincible Mario

roflcap said:

yah i may be pre ordering it form game stop but well you get a down load code for super mario bros 3 the one on the nes

Pichuka97 said:

I love Mario and I will get this game day 1 though I do with the graphics would of been a little better like at least Mario Bros. U or a new art direction something like hand drawn animations but you now, whatever. If it has Mario's name on it, then it will sell millions.

triforcepower73 said:

Not to criticize or anything(i love mario anyways), but seriously, why the heck are they releasing four mario games all around the same time? New super mario bros u, new super mario bros 2, paper mario, and luigi's mansion. I mean some people don't count lugi's mansion as part of the series but three is a lot still. I think they should have just put the elements of this game into the wii u game and had either luigi's mansion or paper mario or both on 3ds. I still will buy one of the four that are coming out though cause i love this series! Just wondering why they're making poor people like me have to choose between these! Too many good titles!

Oh, I so do hope the store I ordered this from manages to send it out in time for me to get it today! If not, I'll be so cranky all weekend. But I guess I could take the time to finish Kingdom Hearts...

Oh man. I love this game! I really love when playing a level and the the background gets more blurrier depending on the amount of 3D you're using, as if the background looks farther than the foreground.

Nintonic said:

Its an ok game, not much of a thrill is in it. I thought collecting coins would have given me more of a jolt but I was wrong.

HaastMK7 said:

This game is amazing.

They did say there was going to be down loadable content coming so I hope they
extend the coin meter to 20-50 million

Hey i have the game i really wish someone had the game around here in paoli. But the new golden fire flower is a blast and if you did not solo player and hold L+R and select a profile. Luigi is silver.

Emmons33 said:

And now the are coming out with paper Mario sticker star and i really like those game just like Paper Mario and the tousand year door with i beat it may of took a while but i still beat it and that is what counts to me.

I just got it yesterday and played for about an hour, and then I got kinda... bored. But, I still have 5 more worlds to go through, so, I can't say its bad... Yet?

Megadave020 said:

Honestly, it's my favorite 3DS game. It's Mario but better than what it normally is. I just love it and, at least once or twice a day, I play it. If I had to recommend a 3DS game to a newcomer, this would be it.

beckmul1974 said:

Hey All,
I own the new SMB2, I have completed Level 6 (thanks to the Super Golden Leaf - I am now attempting to complete all levels without said Leaf . But I am perplexed about how I get into the two "hidden" levels (you go to one of them from Level 1), but no idea how to do it. Can anyone out there come to my assistance - it would be greatly appreciated! Take care all

NintendoCat14 said:

I thought it was going to be so good, but it was the easiest modern sidescroller I've ever played. I'm disappointed.

Presquid said:

I recommend using the d-pad over the control stick. If you use the control stick, then you will be ducking a lot on accident.

But this game is still cool with the level design and the gameplay.

I personally had quite a blast with this. The coin concept is great, the graphics have indeed improved, the Gold Flower is awesome, and Coin Rush and DLC make for nice additions.

That said, I can understand all the criticism tossed at this game. It just doesn't take the series forward in the right ways. The music is almost completely recycled. The visuals, while better, are merely upresed. Mario's powerup selection is really limited and unexceptional. It's too easy to accumulate lives. The adventure is way too short. And the reuse of Koopa Kids is as uncreative as the whole save Peach is clearly shoehorned. This game should have had a completely new storyline or included Wario somehow. Nintendo, I love you, but even I have to admit that you have to try harder than this...

New is Overstatement, this series started to get dull after NSMBW and New Super Mario Bros. U kinda revived it and lived up the NEW in the logo with is Super Mario World type over world and its installment of Baby Yoshi's who haven't been seen since Super Mario World. This game wasn't really satisfying like the DS version and Wii and maybe Wii U version the Coin theme was surly New and fun but starts to get a little tedious after a while.I'am not hating on Super Mario I love my Mustache Italian brother! he's part of my Family, Literally! Hopefully when they make another NEW Super Mario its actually new, and crisp like a fresh Fire Flower!

defrb said:

@CthulhuBlooper Yes same, loved the series but its getting to much of the same, platformer has never been my favorite genre but mario was an exception back in the days. Its like they make a curry with a bit more salt, but with the same taste ^^

I like to see more inovation.

jdhs7 said:

very cool game the only sucky thing is that u and the other person have to have to copies of the game to do multiplayer

gamer_mario said:

I love this game. Only problem is that u have to use 2 3ds cards to play working with or against someone in multiplayer.
