Topic: Just accidentally deleted a 36+ hour Xenoblade save.

I lost more than two game years of play in HM Friends of Mineral Town. I think I shut the GBA off while it was still saving.

My Wii completely froze and I lost over a 2000+ hours on various games like Mario Kart Wii, Brawl, Animal Crossing City Folk, etc.

Yeah I had to start all over on everything but luckily I kept saved data for certain games on my SD card.

This is something that had better be corrected for WiiU. You should be able to backup ALL save data. I don't care if it lets people cheat during online games or whatever the stupid reason is for making some files incapable of being copied.

Not really copy just being able to Move the file if all else fails. So if I'm done playing Conduit for a long time or whatever, I can safely pack it away in an SD card.

I lost my save before I started Hector's playthrough... :/

I also accidentally corrupted Burnout 3: Takedown. I wasn't too far in it, but my brother was, and that made him really angry.

lol I accidentally formatted my Wii system memory once- having only 5 stars left to get in Mario Galaxy. I wanted to delete Mario Party 7, but my mind was screwed up and thought formatting meant organizing or something and soon as the pop asked if I was sure, I pointed to Ok without thinking and I realized I made a big mistake.

I have deleted files on my Wii, thinking I'd never actually own the games... Then I found out about amazon and how cheap games go for _

Resident Evil 4 completed data
40+ hours of Super smash bros brawl
Super paper mario Completed data
20+ hours Monster Hunter Tri

just to name a few.

Final Fantasy 3 ds. Sick of getting stuck one day. Started another file. WHOOPS! Overwrote my good file. Damn.

A 50+ hour save file on Endless Ocean Blue World. I thought I clicked the "copy data" button

My most recent lost game was Super Ghouls 'n Ghost on the SNES.

I had that game since it first came out, and I have NEVER been able to beat it (well, I WAS just a kid...). Just last year, I decided to play it - and lo and behold! - I was actually beating the game. I actually made it to the final boss! Feeling hungry and dirty, I decided to pause the game and get some dinner and have a shower. When I came back...

My idiot brother turned the SNES and the TV off, assuming I was no longer using it. I cried.

While pushing my wii back onto its ledge while playing Pokemon XD, accidentally pressed the power button, and lost over 4 hours of play, and over 20 pokemon caught a purified...

Thinking more about this, every console should have an automatic backup that occurs once a week, to an SD card or other storage device. If something happens, you can run a one-time restore that sets every save file back to where it was when the last backup occurred. The files would be locked and inaccessible for any other use, so it would protect against people frivolously swapping save files.

I guess I would have to say when my Gamecube memory card stopped working, thus me losing my saved data for every single Gamecube game I own... And I already recall losing my Melee saved data sometime before that.

Can't you just re download them?

lol yeah just what i was thinking you only deleted a user not the psn account it self, that is only deletable upon sony themselves i think its safe to say that 150 dollars is not down the drain

I deleted my completed N+(DS) file not once, but twice.

Good thing they let you download it on up to 5 consoles. Anyways as for my deleted save. I was testing out different save files for my wii so I transferred my RE4 file (that has everything but that hand cannon unlocked) onto another sd card. Deleted the one off my Wii and did a few other things. When I tried to transfer it back it said "This file may not have been moved" Or something along those lines... So now I have my RE4 save file. I just can't use it

First day I had Spirit Tracks, I beat the first dungeon, saved and turned it off, and when I went back to i, I deleted it, I know its not that bad, but It was a new game so I was a bit annoyed

ok story time kids.
well first off, i forgot the password to the account. (ya i know dumb reason)
and also the reason i could not just change my password was because i actually bought the account off ebay.
so i was not the owner of the email.
so now your probably thinking, WHY? well, the account had 150 credit, not worth of already bought game's. but money i could spend on anything that was on PSN.
he was selling the account for only 40$
he was also selling multiple psn accounts, all with exactly 150$ (there was also xbox live accounts with 100$ but i don't own an xbox)
now first thing that is coming to your minds is, it's a scam & he is a hacker.
well i guess that would be the smart thing to think, but i bought it any way, and guess what? it worked, i got the account, it had exactly what he said it would, but he also said i had to spend it all with in, i think 48 hours or 72 hours? idk maybe he was a hacker.
i even got to talk with him on the phone to help me with starting the account, i was still new to ps3, i bought this like 5 day's after getting my ps3.
so ya, after like a couple months go buy, i decide to get rid of useless data on my ps3. (or at least i thought was useless)
like pictures, videos, save data for game's i don't play.
and of course accounts, so i deleted it and, $#!^ just happened.
but that was over a year ago, and i already sold my ps3. (not because of this, my internet changed, and it was slow online)
and ya, that's my long, boring story, of how i lost a 150$ account.
