Topic: Just accidentally deleted a 36+ hour Xenoblade save.

What's your worst ever accidental delete?

In Final Fantasy Tactics I maxed all available classes for a full party as soon as random battles became available. Brother deleted the memory card.

Well, losing my 30+ DSiWare and 3DS downloads (VC, apps, Excitebike) is the pits, but that's Nintendo's fault, not mine.

2 entire dreamcast VMU's which held my Shenmue, Res Evil and Soul Caliber data amongst others, never save when using gameshark!!!

Hahahaha haaa.

Mario Pinball Land. I forgot to save when I turned the power off, and all of my Stars vanished. I have never played any other game that punishes players like that for not saving, except for Animal Crossing. At least having an angry mole rant at you is better than having all your hard-earned Stars go away! >:[

When I accidently deleted my bro's Beyblade save, he then deleted mine to get back at me. We were both pretty far in.

Also, I accidently deleted my Metroid Prime data after I was halfway in.

Oh, and my PS2 Memory card broke on me. Twice.

Deleting the save file for Crystal Chronicles on the Gamecube right near the final boss. It seems I was having an off day and forgot that the one I wanted to delete was on my other memory card.

Pokémon Yellow. I deleted and started a new game and saved, thinking my team was saved on Stadium. It was in the middle of saving when I realized it wasn't.

Katamari Damacy. I was on the final level, after playing for a full day straight from the beginning, and i decided to take a break. So I hit the power button. Then I remembered it wasn't auto save.

I can't remember one I deleted by accident but my brother's friend did that with my brother's copy of Pokemon Gold.

I'm sure I've had worse, but somehow all my GoldSource engine games got their save data deleted.

I accidentally deleted my save file in the first Donkey kong country on vc and I only had the last regular level, the boss of world 6 and the final boss to do.

On my first play through of Mario Kart: Double Dash, my sisters deleted the save file... It took me weeks to get up to the point I was at back then. I also lost my first Wind Waker file, but good thing was I already beat the main quest.

Oh yeah now I remember a really bad one.

I brought my memory card over to my friend's house for a sleepover so we could play Melee with all the characters unlocked (he didn't have any IIRC), and I put it in slot B. He accidentally overrode mine with his so I lost everything I had done. I forced him to help me re-unlock every character during that sleepover, lol. The thing that still ticks me off to this day is I still have his playing stats and the game says that Samus is my most-used character.

I "accidently" deleted my PS3

(want to here something really sad?) not knowing that if you delete a PS3 user all the game's that user bought also get's deleted as well.
there's 150$ down the drain.

On my copy of Harvest Moon DS, I was so rich I had a fence made of gold lumber all around my farm, was married, had a child, and pretty much had everything except the Island.

But guess what? I overwrote the save on accident when using my 2nd file. Hundreds of hours of work, gone in a few seconds.

Not the first time I've done that with a Harvest Moon game. I need to stop making second files.

This isn't exactly the same, but my friend's brother flushed his copy of Goldeneye down the toilet. Not to mention deleting his Galaxy save-file four times in a row.

The worst I've ever done is delete a completely maxed out Phantasy Star online character. Surprisingly, I never played it again.
