A lot of people aren't impressed with the 3D feature in general. Some games harness it better than others, but I think the 3D is an amazing effect. Playing games in 2D is definitely lackluster in comparison.
Honestly I'm already over the 3D thing. It was neat the first time I saw it on 3DS but lately I don't even use it. The ghosting gets annoying everytime I move just a little bit. The games can still be just as enjoyable without it. Anyway using the 3D just sucks the life out of the battery twice as fast. The poor thing barely lasts three hours as it is.

I don't mind the 3D, the first time I've played Ocarina on this thing I used the 3D for the whole time and enjoyed it all. (except the Chamber of Ghosts....I mean, Sages scenes, lol) Now I usually just have it on depending on my mood. (or when watching those videos on eShop/NV)

Keep it PG-13-ish.
It's pretty awful except for cutscenes. Very often I saw two of things (Link, Navi, whatever), and when the game gets intense you can easily leave the 3D sweetspot and get really screwed up. -5/10 stars.
I never experienced the ghosting you guys are talking about
It's also called crosstalk and it appears mostly when displaying a very bright object on a very dark background.... like the waterfalls in the sacred realm or when Link walks into a dark tunnel.
Every 3D display has it some just handle it better than others. Except maybe the passive glasses projector systems you get at cinemas which I don't think have the problem.

"Don't stir the pot" is a nice way of saying "they're too dumb to reason with"
To me it's a mixed bag. The sense of depth is very impressive, but at the same time the effect made some walls and stairs look more like painted cardboard than anything else. Well-painted cardboard, but painted cardboard nonetheless. Also, the graphics take a noticeable hit in this game with the 3D on.
So far, I've actually been most impressed with the U.S. Nintendo Show 3D. It makes great use of the full range of 3D, from amazing depth to great pop-out. The top-down shooters in the 3D classics line also make great use of the 3D. I'd love to see some brand-new top-down shooters on the eShop.

@ Everyone saying the graphics in OoT3D are worse with the 3D on
The way the graphics look with the 3D on is how the game actually is supposed to look. When the 3D is off, the game adds an effect called anti-aliasing (or however the heck you spell it) which smudges the edges of everything to give the appearance of smooth edges.
So in reality, the graphics don't get worse with the 3D turned on. That's how the game is supposed to look. The graphics are actually improved when the 3D is turned off.
For example, Starfox 3D doesn't use anti-alias, so even though you still see the jagged edges, no one complains about it because they haven't seen the improved looks.
Perhaps this is why OoT3D uses anti-alias and Starfox 64 3D doesn't.
I think the real problem for me is the ghosting, it's worst in the chamber of sages or in any area with a dark environment (though ganon's castle is usually ok oddly enough), I always end up seeing 3 links, the real one, and then a shadow to the left and right of him. Nintendo just needs to fix that, or avoid such dark environments, should be interesting to see if Capcom can avoid it in RE:R
