@Dang_69 @SplatRay001 honestly, the number of companies that contributed to this game is fairly normal as far as major video game titles are concerned. Just about every major game has a whole number of companies contributing to various things such as art assets, QA, localization, sound/music/voice, etc. In this list alone, I see a lot of the usual suspects, like Virtuos, Keywords, House of Moves.
@Cikajovazmaj game size isn't the issue. For Switch 2, there are only two options for game cards: a key-card or a 64GB card. Guess which one's cheaper.
@Lizuka exactly. And Nintendo's not the only company that does it. Literally every company has done this at one point or another. And a lot of the time, it's usually because they "decided to go in another direction." Companies aren't as loyal to English VAs like they are to Japanese VAs.
@Lizuka the last three Call of Duty games (Modern Warfare 2 & 3 and Black Ops 6) have done exactly this, ship a disc that has a 3GB app that downloads the rest of the game.
@Iamcardboard first it was Octopath Traveler, then it was Triangle Strategy, and now DQ XI. Seems like Square Enix is taking back publishing control for their Switch games that were published by Nintendo. Live A Live, DQ Builders 1 and 2, Bravely Default 2 and The World Ends With You Final Remix are the only ones left.
@GameOtaku a lot of people online had actually speculated it was her for many years.
For my part, I realized it was her when I heard her voice as Asenath from the animated movie Joseph: King of Dreams and it sounded so similar to her voice as EVA. And I also realized that she did it under a pseudonym because of her work for Disney; the late voice actress Mary Kay Bergman did the same thing back when she was the voice of nearly all the female characters in South Park and was also the voice of Snow White at the time.
@Bonggon5 you do realize that the movie hasn't released and there could still be further surprises like other characters appearing in a post-credits scene?
@KingMike I know next to nothing about Tomba's licensing situation (I don't think anyone does except the powers that be that are involved) but I think back then they had said it was some kind of emulation issue with the US version that took some time to overcome? I might also be talking out of my ass here but I wonder if licensing had to do with the different soundtrack for the US version? Like something had to be cleared?
@EaglyBird Kojima is still in the credits of the actual games themselves. The Kojima Productions logo is still there, the "A Hideo Kojima Game" credit is still there and the "Directed by Hideo Kojima" credit is still there. It's the credits for the Master Collection that don't have his name, since he's no longer with Konami and had nothing to do with this re-release of his games.
@Serpenterror No Sony only published it in North America and Europe and has no ownership of the IP. The game was published in Japan by Whoopie Camp, who owns the IP.
@Zuljaras "...and now I will find Revelation 2 for the PS Vita." Please reconsider that decision. The Vita version of Revelations 2 is garbage. Horrible graphics and horrendous sound quality does not make for a quality experience. That is a purchase that I deeply regret.

Re: This PlayStation Platforming Sequel Makes The Jump To Switch Very Soon
@Switching Tomba was never really Sony's IP in the first place, they just published it in NA/EU. The IP is owned by WhoopeeCamp, the game's developer.
Re: This PlayStation Platforming Sequel Makes The Jump To Switch Very Soon
Is there an option to change the soundtrack?
For those not in the know, the US/EU versions had different music than the JP version.
Re: Octopath 0 Is A Game-Key Card On Switch 2, And Square Enix Has "No Plans" For A Switch 1 Upgrade Option
@Cikajovazmaj I meant cheaper for developers and publishers as far as manufacturing costs are concerned.

@Erigen Yeesh, and I thought dating and hookup apps were bad.
Re: Feature: 11 Games With 'Secret' Performance Bumps You Should Revisit On Switch 2
@abbyhitter Yeah, I think it's cause people want that 60 fps, especially since there's some programming code in the game to enable it.

Re: Mobile Rhythm Game 'Disney Music Parade' Scores A Switch Encore In Asia December 2024
I'm actually surprised that this hasn't been announced for US and Europe because I'm pretty sure Disney fans would eat this up.
