This game was one of the main reasons I wanted a Wii U and I was always under the understanding it was coming here, very disappointed to say the least

Personally I think if anything they should think about removing people from the roster. There are plenty of characters already that get little use. The first Smash is still my favorite...But I still want Mega Man

I'd like to know what developers were at this conference because we all know the 3DS will have more releases this year than any home console, possibly combined..

@Jampie Vita TV isn't selling well because it doesn't have good games lol. Obviously Nintendo Wii U needs exclusive genius but the problem is unless they sell more consoles the only exclusives it will have are made by itself. And yes, If people could play 3DS games on a wii U I guarantee people would buy a Wii U just to play on a big screen. I bet once regular ds games start showing up on the virtual console people will by a wii U. Put it this way, if the 3ds was the home console with the Wii U's library of games and the Wii U was the handheld with the 3ds's library of games the Wii U would be the one selling better. Also, as the numbers show, people obviously did by the 3DS just to play DQM2 so why wouldn't they have bought the Wii U in the same respect if it had been for that instead??

@DarkCoolEdge if you read my first comment you would see I said they should make a device like they did for the gamecube, an adaptor that would connect to the wii U that would allow playing 3DS games through the Wii U to a tv. If they did I would easily pay good money for it. Honestly, it is mostly because I love old school J-rpg's and the DS and #ds are the only place to get them anymore and I won't play on a 4 inch screen...

@Jampie Is it a Nintendo console? Yes. Do you not need permission to put a game on a Nintendo console? Yes. Point being is Nintendo keeps allowing great IP's to go on its prize pony but with nothing on its dying one which is why it is dying. If Sony can say, hey developers, if you make a PS4 game it "has" to be playable on the vita like the wii u gamepad for the Wii U, why can't Nintendo say hey, make your games also playable on both platforms? Needless to say developers really want to make games for the 3DS because of its big install base so they would do whatever they needed to just to release a game on it, even if it meant a quick port to the Wii U. Nobody here can tell me allowing 3DS games to be playable on the Wii U wouldn't make it the console to have and sell way more than Xbox One and PS4.

Another perfect example of bad decisions by Nintendo...They keep putting these amazing games on the console that is already doing well!!! This game along with like a dozens others would have given the Wii U a commanding increase in sales but god forbid we give people what they want They need a 3ds virtual console or a 3ds wii u addon to play 3ds games on your tv like they had with the GBA on gamecube.

Good thought but what we need is the complete opposite of Wii U VC games on 3DS, we need 3DS games on the Wii U, that would easily make the Wii U the must have console GARANTEED!! I don't own a 3DS because I refuse to play games on a 3 to 5 inch screen, I would buy about 30 games in a month if I could play 3DS games on the Wii U. Start with the remake of Dragon Quest VII !!

I seriously think they want the North American VC for the Wii U to fail...Just because Europe Wii U sales aren't the greatest doesn't mean you give them the best games to try to sell more consoles while giving your loyal fans in America the shaft...no Link to the past or Mario 3 still...

Yep, the shaft again, other places get games like chrono trigger, secret of mana, and link to the past and we get..double dragon....Nintendo is really screwing the pooch on North American VC..

Agreed, they get a damn expansion and we still haven't seen the first installment, they announced this in the beginning of the wii u launch and it was one of the main reasons I bought it and still we have nothing, just give me any damn rpg and I'd be happy...

Hell yeah, Crystalis was definitely a hidden gem on NES that I would be willing to buy instantly. I'd love all the final fantasy's and dragon quest games as well

your damn right, in a world of horrible action RPG's these old school turn based ones are all I have left to look forward to for good RPG's. I wish they would just go back to turn based...My only hope now is maybe Dragon Quest 11 to be made in turn based format...

How about some news on something they have been promising from the beginning but have heard nothing about since the Wii U released...The ability to use 2 Wii U gamepads and gamecube on the virtual console, hell, even Nintendo 64 would be nice, why only NES and SNES...???

The best thing I loved about this game is it is the first time I remember a game where you actually build your own town and can customize the type of building architecture by finding different architects around the games world. It will have item, weapon, and armor shops.

Honestly, if they remade every Zelda game in HD I'd buy them all. An original Zelda made with HD Link to the past graphics would be amazing and a definite buy no matter the price.

We need to accept the one undeniable fact that is hurting Nintendo period!! It is the fact that developers are at a point where the cost of game development is so high that they want one of the big 3 to fail. Three main consoles is too much and 1 company has to call it quits and they are trying to push Nintendo to be that one by not supporting it. Too bad for them Nintendo isn't going to fold, they have way more top notch IP's than all other consoles combined. They have a better chance of getting Microsoft to abandon ship. If Nintendo would start to release some of the 3DS big games on the Wii U things would start looking up.

So how come they don't have games that can be bought to put on the Wii U yet???? Also, yes Star Fox is best choice.

Did you ever think that the reason f-zero didn't sell well was because Mario kart 64 did sell well?? Yeah, but the real point still remains, it isn't smart business to make games that compete with your own games...Nintendo chose the game that sold best and stuck with it. A fact that can't intelligently be argued with. If they did make another racing game, it should be a Wave Race which I would buy before a new f-zero and is a different type of racing game that may appeal to different players than Mario kart players

Isn't it pretty obvious by now why there is no F-zero? Really guys, F-zero pretty much stopped shortly after releasing Mario Kart. Nintendo doesn't want to create a competitor to its own game. Sad but true...

Sorry to say but when it comes to marketing sex to kids...really...? Every child in the world has internet enabled devices and can see all the nudity and sex they want at the press of a button. Like any situation, it is up to the parents to protect kids from things they dont want them to see. This isn't the 60's, sex is everywhere, even on non-cable tv shows. It may not show straight up nudity or sex but it is implied. Everything, even tv shows start with a warning. Whats funny is you don't see the fact that every country in the world but the U.S. shows nudity on everything.

Definitely Eternal Darkness, but what would really excite me, Killer Instinct Gold for the 64, but what would be a really amazing addition would be ds and 3ds virtual console for some of it's great old school RPG's with the release of retro style controllers for each virtual console system that matches it's original controller...It just isnt the same playing nintendo 64 games without its original controller layout

Well one day us older gamers may have a nicely boxed piece of history worth thousands of dollars sitting on our shelf while younger gamers may someday be without the thousands they spent on digital games that Nintendo may no longer allow you redownload after you delete them from your hard drive. So please, I encourage people to buy digital, it will make my physical copy worth more

Definitely, the reason thw Wii U is getting such flack is because Nintendo lost momentum, they had a great launch with a couple dozen games and then barely anything for 2 months...They need to throw in some good 1st and 3rd party titles quick. Get off your butts and release Pikmin 3, Bayonetta 2, Dragon Quest X, and get the Wii U virtual console released. Get some downloadable gamecube games available and things will turn around quick, or even better, pay Squareenix to release a Remade HD Final Fantasy 7 and Wii U's will fly off the shelves faster than you can make them just like the Wii did. Why is it we are just stupid poor consumers and they are a multimillion dollar company but we know what they need to succede but they don't listen...

The one I am looking forward to isn't on the list...Dragon Quest X...

Ok enough, why doesn't someone actually answer the one question thats been asked a million times?? DO THESE FIGURES PUT INTO CONSIDERATION DIGITAL DOWNLOADS? Someone must know the answer to this question..What company gets these figures and I will ask them myself...

Once again, why is it everyone out thier who posts stuff about the Wii U only look into the flaws that they look so hard to find instead of publishing articles about what it does amazingly. Seriously, for every good article there is 5 bad articles that overall are completely insignificant but someone just wants attention. Almost every complaint about the Wii U is complete BS. Like many of you said the system wasn' t meant to do this. It's like complaining your DVD player doesn't play Blu-rays. I wish someone would put thier time into seeing what the Wii U's GPU is capable of compared to the PS3 and 360 and post that instead of how its processor is weaker which was purposely made that way.

Well I bought 5 games at launch so I made them profit for 4 other people. Your welcome Nintendo

Pretty observant that I am jealous since I did put it in plain english in my comment. Unfortunately, I am just jealous I dont have 27 days to waste not that I would waste it outside of store in NYC. I think if I was him and had half a brain and 27 days to waste I'd waste a few hours in line getting my Wii U like everyone else and spending 27 days playing it.
Also, nobody said they hate him, you are just making your own agenda and wishing all of us get punched in the face...So who is the hater...

Point being, just because he is pathetic enought to stand in line for 27 days doesn't make him the biggest Nintendo fan, it makes him the most pathetic. Thinking that standing there for 27 days makes him get his console any faster than a guy at you local Gamestop who was waiting first in line for 4 hours (been there). You want the truth, if he is waiting in New York City at midnight, somewhere else midnight happened an hour ago and the guy at the front of that line is already home playing his Wii U and didnt wait 27 days.
