@Sasukeanditachi It might be annoying at first but I'm sure we could get used to the controls after a while, but it would be even better and IMO well worth it for them to remake wireless gamecube controllers for the Wii U and even Nintendo 64 just for retro gaming. I just want one thing, every Mario Party game on my Wii U
@RyanO We are the momentum, don't wait to see what happens, be part of what happens. If everyone who wanted one sat back to see what happens, nothing would happen. The more people that buy it, the more support the system will get, and the more successful it will have. We make a console a success by buying it, not waiting to see if it succedes without us. The best system ever made would be nothing if people didn't buy it, correct?
Their are usually some good european games that are in english that never come here that would be nice to have, but yes japanese would be worthless since I don't read japanese.
Honestly, I feel sorry for Sony and Microsoft. When Nintendo comes out with something innovative they have a problem. They have to make a choice between looking stupid and trying to make up reasons why they are better which never turn out to be truths or saying they can do better and then failing miserably at thier attempt to mimic what they just got done saying was a "gimic". I think Nintendo is using this as a strategy. Make something new forcing Sony and Microsoft to go against thier typical strategy to try to compete in an arena outside thier normal operating stances. Obviously it is working. I think Sony and Microsoft aren't giving info on new systems because they are waiting to see how the WiiU does so if it does well they can once again try to upstage Nintendo at its own game by copying its technology in a way that takes it just outside the range of blatant copying. Say what you will, PS move and Kinect are utter failures which is proof that copying is never as good as the original.
We all need to realize it was the casual gamers that helped Nintendo sell over 100 million Wii's. The more casual gamers that like these kind of games buy the Wii U making it a strong console base in homes makes the developer of your hardcore games more likely to bring thier games to the Wii U. Everyone has thier own gaming style, I don't see casual gamers hating on hardcore gamers so we should give them the same respect. I think of myself as a hardcore gamer but it's games like this that the spouse and kids will play with me and it sure as hell beats watching kids movies lol.
Agreed that a latency issue would definitely hurt alot for this consoles credibility but I am pretty sure Nintendo knows that as well and would never let the console get into consumer hands if they knew there was a flaw with the controller streaming feature.
What scares me the most is I will get it and I will play it for 10 years. I love and hate MMORPG's. They are so fun that once I start I end up missing out on dozens of great games because I'd rather play the MMORPG. I have missed out on so many great games over the last 15 years that I never went back to play...damn you EQ and WoW...
Definitely asking the same question as the commenters before me. Still waiting for confirmation on what the Wii U will be bundled with...a game, wii mote, pro controller, and god forbid maybe even throwing in a damn HDMI cable instead of those worthless composite cables...
I am a firm believer that the whole graphics scene is getting to a point where it can't get much better. Yes, I know the numbers can get better but the actual noticable difference is next to non-existent. It is time they starting worrying more about making games that are great. I hate to say it but we all know that games like CoD sell millions but the sad truth is angry birds sold more and it had nothing to do with graphics or processing power, it was just fun. Also I would think game developers suffer from constantly having to change developement strategies because of the constantly changing hardware specs obviously costing more money. In the end stick to worrying about making good games, not the same one over and over with different backdrops, CoD...Halo...I do believe that nintendos new touch screen is going to bring some amazing concepts that are going to blow us away. As with the Wii, the biggest failure was forcing motion controls. Just give gamers the option to use multiple control methods and everyone will be happy. Iwill be pre-purchasing a Wii U as soon as possible and I have already pre-purchased some games
@PixelatedPixie
I have to say I agree to an extent, but if I was Nintendo I would do the same thing. We all know the other console makers want all the info we do as well so they can use it to thier own advantage. If the Wii U released a price competitors would quickly jump on the opprotunity to drop thier console prices to compete and Nintendo wants them to have as little time as possible to react. Also with games, if we knew everything now, we would have no reason to come here everyday to see whats new. Like any smart company they keep us wanting more. As much as I want more, the thrill of waiting to see what pops up is just as exciting

Re: Feature: DS Games We Want on Wii U
Every Dragon Quest game and every old school turn-based RPG just because I want to play them on a big screen.
