@MichaelP I myself was lucky to only be one-handed for a couple of months, but some people are like that for life. Telling them they can't play what you call complicdated games isn't fair at all. Gaming should be for everyone.
I had hand surgery on my right hand twice in 2019 (and due for a third one soon), so was unable to use that hand for a while after each one. I 3D printed a thing someon had designed specifically for one handed Switch playing. They had made a right handed one and a left handed one. I remember playing Tetris 99 with just my left hand.
@ZapNCrap Everyone was saying Pearl looked like a goblin at this poin in Splatoon 2, when the Splatfest demo was due to start. It went on for months. Frye will grow on you like Pearl did on everyone.
@__jamiie It wasn't in the Direct. As for Splatoon 2, it would have required rewriting the save system from what they'd already made, which could have broken saves if implemented.
@__jamiie That was already confirmed. It wasn't in Animal Crossing due to the weird way saves work in that game (being linked to multiple profiles) and it didn't work on Splatoon 2 due to the level and rank being part of the save, to prevent people downloading an old save if their rank gets lowered.
@Royalblues I remember in the early days there was a massive anti-Pearl crowd based on people not liking her. There was also a lot of people who automatically preferred Marina based on her looks. For me I usually just went with whichever answer felt best for me, or if I didn't have an opinion, I went with whichever team a lot of my friends were going on.
@Royalblues Why would he automatically win? Popularity isn't always the way to win. If you remember Splatoon 2, the way to game the system at one point was to vote for the team that was clearly going to be less popular.
I've only seen one of these irl once. It was 2009 and I had a DSi. My father had taken me with him to visit an old friend of his who had a PC (we had one at the time, but not with internet access). I was allowed to use the PC to get some music, convert it to m4a and put it onto my DSi's SD card to listen to it. Amongst the things this person had for his PC was one of these adapters. I didn't actually use it that day and never sae one again, but every time I set up wifi on a device like a Wii or 3DS from 2011 onwards (when I started to have home internet access), I always remembered that day when I went through the process and one of the options was to use this device.
@solarwolf07 It has no way to spend actual money on it. You can use in game currency to buy specific cards and packs though, but that currency is earned through playing and scanning codes from irl products.
@CharlieGirl I remember when it was first shown off and they were talking how Bank could be used for generations to come (as in human ones), yet when the Switch came out they already had a "new" service to replace it, making me think Bank wouldn't be around for too much longer.
@Captain-Cluck Again, you're showing you don't know what you're talking about. Doctor Who has been political for decades and you claim the woke stuff is Moffat and Chibnall, but RTD literally did the same with his own era. You're just blindly attacking the new eras because you can't look past your own nostalgia.
@Captain-Cluck You definitely don't know much about Who's history. Historically it has been quite political, for a family show, and even during the era you mentioned, it was massively "woke". The numbers going down is mostly because the writing has diminished and because the people who jumped on when it became big moved onto the next big thing, especially with Moffat's repetitive stroy-arcs and now Chibnall's lower quality of writing compared to him 15 years ago.
@Captain-Cluck You say that it became dead as a franchise when it became "woke", but that was when it started hitting peak popularity under RTD, so your comment is nonsensical and ignorant of Who's history.
I've wanted to order things from there before, but only did for Undertale on Switch, due to not wanting to pay such high shipping and potential customs fees. Now they get an EU store when the UK is out of the EU, which just seems like a cruel joke to ensure I have to pay customs fees. Ah well, at least there'll be a more local centre for the stuff to come from. Need to look at the bright side.
You're reporting it as though the games are coming to Switch, but if I can't play them on my handheld console whilst out and about, then the games aren't exactly on the Switch.
@Specter_of-the_OLED The remake was confirmed before the PC port of the original camt to the PS4. Putting the PC port on was just so it was at least playable in the years leading up to when the remake was finally ready to start being released.
@Donutman I know a lot of people who still regularly get DVDs and CDs through the post from companies like Amazon and Big Finish. Physical media is dying, but it's not that close to death yet.
@1ofUs For me it's the fact that the Switch is a portable system, so requiring a constant internet connection means I can't play during the times I most often play, which is when I'm out with friends or commuting for work. I could just use my mobile data, but I know exactly which points on my commute have no internet access and it's way too many for me to even play using 4G (and slight 5G towards the end of the journey). The next thing is that my home internet connection is something my family knows to be only slightly more reliable than the bus I require to get to the train station for work. I tried to play a 30 minute demo of a game on Stadia last December and it was near impossible to play. Having that for 7 games and 3 movies just doesn't bare thinking about.
@Baker1000 7 games and 3 movies. Games: Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain Of Memories, Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth By Sleep (not as much of a game, but still playable), Kingdom Hearts 3. Movies: Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (playable on DS), Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded (playable on DS), Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover.
A game with Re: in the title is a version that originated on one device, got remade and the version in the collection is that remake. Re:Chain Of Memories was the GBA game Chain Of Memories remade for PS2. Re:Coded was originally a mobile game called Coded but ported to the DS.
A game with Final Mix in the title means it was a later version of the game with extra content that was exclusive to Japan before the PS3 versions.
@YusseiWarrior3000 Considering the Switch is marketed as a hybrid and one of the models is portable only, then saying it's specifically a home console is wrong.
@Aya-chan My point is that the benefit of them being Switch would have been the portability, yet it's missing, so having them on Xbox or PlayStation doesn't get me the one thing I want.
@Highlar I only remember those prices because I bought them on launch in the Xbox One so a family member who had my account on their system could also play the games and I could play them if I wanted. They do go on sale regularly though on PS4 and Xbox One. However I too am disappointed by the cloud only thing with them on Switch. I prefer to play games on the go.
@ChromaticDracula That's my main worry. At least with digital games, if the storefront hosting them is closing, you can try to redownload them ahead of time (although I have seen some digital games get pulled instantly and not available for redownload). With this you have no way to play when Squeenix decides you can't and you don't get your money back for that.
@Moonlessky I think I remember the XB1 versions being about £30 for each collection (1.2 + 2.5 and 2.8 being the separate collections) when they initially launched. However with those you could actually play them without fearing your internet connection could go down or be too slow.
@Einherjar But that would mean forking out hundreds just for another system that I wouldn't want and wouldn't play most of the games I want to play when Squeenix could easily have put the KH series on Switch properly.
@Pak-Man The fact that the Switch is partly (or comoletely with the Lite) a handheld console means you can't play the games when on the go. The Switch could easily handle 1.5 and 2.5, maybe even 2.8.

@Mattock1987 You'll still be hearing about it because of the way content works in Splatoon.

@Silly_G Most games don't get physical releases like that, so I don't know why you're expecting it like it's guaranteed to happen.
