Re: Random: Splatoon 3's Big Man Has Some Big Fans Online

@Royalblues I remember in the early days there was a massive anti-Pearl crowd based on people not liking her. There was also a lot of people who automatically preferred Marina based on her looks. For me I usually just went with whichever answer felt best for me, or if I didn't have an opinion, I went with whichever team a lot of my friends were going on.

Re: Nintendo Says To Stop Using Its Wi-Fi USB Connector Due To Security Concerns

I've only seen one of these irl once. It was 2009 and I had a DSi. My father had taken me with him to visit an old friend of his who had a PC (we had one at the time, but not with internet access). I was allowed to use the PC to get some music, convert it to m4a and put it onto my DSi's SD card to listen to it. Amongst the things this person had for his PC was one of these adapters. I didn't actually use it that day and never sae one again, but every time I set up wifi on a device like a Wii or 3DS from 2011 onwards (when I started to have home internet access), I always remembered that day when I went through the process and one of the options was to use this device.

@Captain-Cluck You definitely don't know much about Who's history. Historically it has been quite political, for a family show, and even during the era you mentioned, it was massively "woke". The numbers going down is mostly because the writing has diminished and because the people who jumped on when it became big moved onto the next big thing, especially with Moffat's repetitive stroy-arcs and now Chibnall's lower quality of writing compared to him 15 years ago.

Re: Fangamer Is Finally Getting An EU Store

I've wanted to order things from there before, but only did for Undertale on Switch, due to not wanting to pay such high shipping and potential customs fees. Now they get an EU store when the UK is out of the EU, which just seems like a cruel joke to ensure I have to pay customs fees. Ah well, at least there'll be a more local centre for the stuff to come from. Need to look at the bright side.

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting The "Cloud Versions" Of Kingdom Hearts On Switch?

twadebarcelona

@1ofUs For me it's the fact that the Switch is a portable system, so requiring a constant internet connection means I can't play during the times I most often play, which is when I'm out with friends or commuting for work. I could just use my mobile data, but I know exactly which points on my commute have no internet access and it's way too many for me to even play using 4G (and slight 5G towards the end of the journey). The next thing is that my home internet connection is something my family knows to be only slightly more reliable than the bus I require to get to the train station for work. I tried to play a 30 minute demo of a game on Stadia last December and it was near impossible to play. Having that for 7 games and 3 movies just doesn't bare thinking about.

Re: Three Kingdom Hearts Games Are Coming To Switch, But They're All Cloud Versions

twadebarcelona

@Baker1000 7 games and 3 movies.
Games: Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain Of Memories, Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth By Sleep (not as much of a game, but still playable), Kingdom Hearts 3.
Movies: Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (playable on DS), Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded (playable on DS), Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover.

A game with Re: in the title is a version that originated on one device, got remade and the version in the collection is that remake. Re:Chain Of Memories was the GBA game Chain Of Memories remade for PS2. Re:Coded was originally a mobile game called Coded but ported to the DS.

A game with Final Mix in the title means it was a later version of the game with extra content that was exclusive to Japan before the PS3 versions.
