There's another Pokémon distribution event on its way to the new Nintendo Switch release, Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
According to Serebii.net, this time around it's been announced for the US region and is a Hisuian Growlithe and 20 Feather Balls. This event will apparently run at GameStop from February 25th through to March 13th.
"Some signage has come out for a new event. This event will run at Gamestop in the US from February 25th through March 13th and will give players a Hisuian Growlithe and 20 Feather Balls. We have no further details for international distribution so be sure to keep checking back."
As noted there's no mention of this event taking place outside of this location (at least yet) - but if we hear anything, we'll let you know. It follows on from a Piplup distribution event being announced for Japan.

Kind of a strange choice, giving out a Pokemon that can be gotten semi-early into the game that reliably spawns in a set place. Could at least make it shiny or something.
Useless Event, and one that not many people will claim because I doubt anyone would want to go out in public rn, unless they just have to do so.
@Sdelintwouters They usually do smaller events like this between major events. That being said, I don't think these smaller ones usually require going out to places to get the Pokemon, so this is a weird one to require a trip to GameStop.
Bruh, you can get that thing at the 3rd area, not only is crafting those balls easy, but the pokemon is too.
I mean unless your just driving my a gamestop, you might as well, but other then that, this even is pointless, pretty sure JP got a better one.
Odd choice for such an easily caught pokemon. Enjoy US haha
Regarding the last sentence of the article, what's a Piplip distribution?
No shiny? No special moves?
What's the point?
I guess GameStop probably paid for this? If it were a Kantonian growlithe, I'd be interested.
Not too mad about missing this considering the fact I just got an Alpha one yesterday who is just THE most gargantuan pupper you ever did see.
The US region? What Pokémon game features that one? 🤔
Cool, I guess... But many of us already got one in-game. Heck, I evolved mine to Arcanine already.
Good gravy, this distribution event is among the most useless I’ve seen yet. I caught a Hisuian Growlithe ages ago in the third area of the game.
On a positive related note though, I switched out the Ponyta/Rapidash I got from the first area of the game with my Growlithe as my Fire user in my party. He has been sooo much more useful, especially when I evolved him. I fully recommend doing this if anyone needs a better Fire type since there aren’t too many Fire types early on in the game.
Does this apply to GameStop in Canada...? (Gosh, it still feels weird with the rebranding)
Very useless event. Though I guess it's just the same as no event.
Not too bad, hopefully the ball it comes with will be unique at least.
@Yosher Unova in gen 5 lol
Most pointless giveaway ever
The feather balls are even funnier to me than the growlithe.
Those are tier 1 pokeballs. They could've even give us the great-ball equivalent, Wing balls? Let alone Jet balls.
I find myself imagining a gamestop rep and a Pokemon rep in a room discussing this distribution, with TPC wanting an extra few thousand dollars to upgrade the feather balls.
@ModdedInkling
I don't have an official answer. But the old US Gamestop events would also be held at EB up here, so I'd imagine they would still after the rebrand.
Just do an internet distribution, I'd rather not lumber in to the GameStop and shamefully ask the staff for the Pokémon thing. At least this one is nothing substantial.
@Lizuka I was about to tweet to GameStop Canada asking what about our country and then realized yeah this isn't shiny and it's widely available in-game. And it's not that hard to craft Feather Balls....so I think I'll save myself the gas and stay home playing.
A Kanto Growlithe would at least be something different. And it wouldn't get bodied by Water Gun as an Arcanine.
I find it funny that it's a Gen 1 fire pokemon but they couldn't make it Charizard this time because it's not in the game. It would 100% be Charizard and we all know it.
Pokemon should cut ties with Gamestop 🤦🏻♂️
But why? I could understand if it was Shiny, or knew a unique Move, or if it was an Alpha, but just a straight up Growlithe?
Never seen this kind of Three-Tittied-Growlithe. Very funny stuff.
@Sdelintwouters Considering that all legendaries and all pokemon are obtainable without Trading what else would you like them to do?
@Yosher Black/White/Black 2/White 2
@Sdelintwouters Pokemon Legends: Arceus doesn't have Pokemon like that. At least, none so far.
@Lizuka Why not do it via mystery gift? Why have to go to Gamestop to get it just seems kinda pointless to me!
@XeroSkill Even the ones that only evolve after trade?
Why not at least make it the Alpha form? I'll catch my own and craft my own Feather Balls.
They could have at least made it a free alpha or something. Maybe even an exclusive move. >..>
@Daniel36 Yes there is an item you can get in game now that let's you evolve them called a linking cord. It looks like the old Gameboy link cable.
@XeroSkill Sweet. Thanks for the info.
