Re: Random: Solving the Joy-Con D-Pad Problem With a 3D Printer, Sort Of...

sr_388

I know I'm in the minority, but I don't fully understand all the negativity with the D-Buttons. I have not had any problem with them. A Joy-Con with a D-Pad would be a nice option, but I've played Blaster Master Zero, Street Fighter and Tetris without any problems. This "problem" feels very first world to me.

@thesilverbrick Yeah, that has happened to me as well, Also, pressing up and two blocks fly down immediately. lol

Re: Preview: Going Hands On With the New Nintendo 2DS XL

sr_388

This might have been mentioned but to everyone complaining about the price, this does come with a charger whereas the new 3DS XL doesn't not. It's not a huge difference; chargers are only like $10 but still, just thought I'd point that out.

Re: Review: Human Resource Machine (Switch eShop)

I missed this on the Wii U (after not really enjoying Little Inferno) but I'm really glad I finally picked it up. I enjoy some light programming and figuring out solutions to these puzzles is very fun for me. At least an 8 for me.

Also, I am very impressed with how well the Joy-Con controls work given that they're completely motion based. I can definitely see Wii HD Remasters working very well on Switch.

Re: Metroid Prime: Federation Force Flops on UK Debut

@electrolite77 Just because a* game doesnt fit into what you want to doesn't mean it's a terrible game and should fail. Nintendo made a good game but because it isn't the Metroid game that people are demanding, the majority want it to fail.

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto and Yugo Hayashi Discuss Star Fox Zero's Development

sr_388

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I would like to say that for me, this has been one of the funnest games I've played in a long time. Every time I play the game I get a little better and I find it very rewarding finding the medals and figuring out how to get Mission Accomplished (I'm refusing to use the internet). I think this is really one of those games where you get out of it what you put into it.

I heard many complaints about the controls and to be honest, I was expecting the game to be underwhelming based on what I had seen from it. But it really surprised me and the only thing I can say is give the game a chance. If you give it a good play through and don't like it, then that's okay but at least you gave it a shot and formed your own opinion.

Personally, I like it when games try something different and honestly, the controls aren't so out there. It still plays a lot like Star Fox 64, the motion just gives you a little more precision.

Re: Poll: Are You Confident About Nintendo's 3DS Focus for 2016?

sr_388

I would certainly like it if one time an article could mention Metroid Prime Federation Force without making a negative comment.
In terms of 3DS games, a Super Mario Maker Player would be nice (obviously it can't handle making levels but I'm sure it could manage playing them).

Re: Editorial: From Metroid: Other M to Star Fox Zero, the Awkward Experimentation With Beloved Franchises

sr_388

"it's Yoshio Sakamoto's toy and he can do with it as he pleases."

That pretty much sums up my opinion on the matter. This generation of fans drives me crazy when they think that they can tell a creator of a franchise that they need to create it the way they want. Whether it's Nintendo or Bioware (demanding to change Mass Effect 3's ending) or even George Lucas. They created their franchises and they get to decide what they want to do with them.

Of course, we have the right to not like it and express that, but we don't have the right to demand a change just because we don't like it.

Also, like you said, Metroid Fusion's writing was equally heavy-handed but no one seemed to mind.

Re: Pokémon Creative Director Dies at Age 42

Having just recently survived a bad accident (and having a lost a dear friend in that same accident) this hit me harder than I expected. My thoughts are with the family, especially that poor girl who just lost her father so young.

Re: The Pokémon Splatfest Results Have Been Confirmed

sr_388

Well, it makes sense. Water is super effective against fire.

This was actually the first Splatfest I got to participate in (things kept getting in the way or I would simply forget) and I have to say it was a lot of fun. I'm glad I chose Team Blue. At one point we had a team of 4 that was unstoppable and we stayed together for a long time. Good fun. It reminded me why Splatoon is awesome.

Re: Splatoon And Super Mario Maker Honoured At The Game Awards 2015

sr_388

I guess the world is coming to an end. Nintendo won best shooter

But in all seriousness that's great Splatoon got the respect it deserved and wasn't written off as a kiddie game.

Not Nintendo related but also great that Rocket League got a couple wins. Anyone that has a PS4 or PC should really check it out.
