@Turbo857 Link only started being an "adult" in Twilight Princess. (Ocarina had adult Link but he was still a kid really, since he just slept for 7 years and didn't really grow up). Personally, I've been wanting them to go back to child Link. I actually think it makes it much darker when you have a little 10 year old going around battling evil.
Yeah I saw this when I wanted to preorder it a couple weeks ago. Pretty ridiculous. So should all games cost more on Wii U because they have gamepad exclusive features? Lol
Just a thought, but maybe we should wait to get mad and take the game off our wish lists until we know for sure that the game is not getting full support...
"It would be Gerudo not to." Haha I laughed pretty hard on that one. Also, I'm very jealous you guys got the nice dome. Not sure why NA didn't get that.
The thing is XBox One, PS4 and PC (Steam Machine or whatever it's called) are pretty much the same thing. I think PS4 and XBone have a lot more to worry about than Wii U. I doubt I'll buy a XBone or PS4 simply because I already have a PC that does things better than those consoles and most of the big games are multiplatform. I've heard many others say similar things.
@gatorboi352 Yeah the stealth might be diluted compared to the old games (though mastering ghost mode on perfectionist comes pretty close), but compared to any other "stealth" game on the market, nothing even comes close. (Also, great profile pic! haha)
@Platypus101 @SphericalCrusher Wow people who speak positively about Other M! Nice to meet you! Glad to know I'm not alone here lol.
I really am enjoying the game and personally haven't had too many problems with online. Also, while I play the campaign pure ghost mode, it is fun in the Charlie missions to go all out assault so as a 3rd person shooter it still is good. This review feels a bit too much like "it's not like the old splinter cell so it's not as good."
I can't help but imagine an actual tree house. lol. Anyway, that's pretty cool. I'm sure that's a tough position to make those decisions that could very heavily affect the western market.
I can see why some might be tired of seeing Kickstarters because it is all over the place on gaming sites but it's the best possible way for talented people to make games and take risks. Without it we'd pretty much just have your playing-it-safe AAA titles and very little new in terms of ideas, franchises and game play. Most of the big publishers are streamlining everything because of their financial situations so they can't afford to back a lot of small developers.
So while we're all entitled to our own opinions, this program actually allows people to see their dreams come to life in an industry that otherwise would probably never give them a chance. And that seems like a strange thing to be negative about.
I'm actually sad to read about the changes as I thought the original was perfect and I loved how open and subtle everything was. Combined with Miiverse it was the perfect game for puzzlers as it was easy to ask if you got really stuck.
Then again, if this lets more people enjoy this great game then that's good too.
@sinalefa I now must search the internet for an incident when someone was killed by two dollars. lol jk But yeah I would get it again to support him even if it didn't add anything new,
@Bass_X0 I've had that exact wish ever since the Wii U came out. Exactly the same game but with new controls and with an over the shoulder view. Challenging combat and secrets that are almost impossible to find without help.
@DerpSandwich I completely agree with you. I was actually disappointed when I found out the "fixed" the Triforce quest. And not needing to change the direction of the wind seems silly since, you know, that's a huge part of the game. lol. But anyway, just wanted to let you know you're not alone out there lol.
The new assassin's creed has an online feature where you can log in and manage your pirate fleet from your smart phone and send them on missions. That could be what ac:pirates is.
I know people who, when they watch or play violent things, they want to try being violent in real life. Sure gaming is a release and I don't have the stance that violence in games makes people violent but it can be a problem if you have unresolved issues and you feel yourself wanting to be violent in the real world.
Love the Pikmin shirt. At first, I didn't like the Wind Waker shirt, till I realized it's the shirt Link wears in the beginning, now I want that one the most. Really hope these come over to NoA.
"If you waste space you get long loading times and worse general performance. Also we don't want to waste the free blocks on people's SD carts for developer's laziness." Man that is nice to read. A lot of devs seem to not even think about how to make their games efficient and quick to load. The fact that they care about little details like that is why I think i enjoy their games so much.
"What's immediately charming about The Wonderful 101 is its style and storytelling, which in some senses recalls the wonder of fantastical silliness that used to be at the core of superhero lore." - Awesome. I miss when superheroes were fun. Really enjoyed the demo. The review was very similar to my experience with the demo. I was kind of confused and overwhelmed but somehow loved it and kept wanting to play more. Really looking forward to this.
"It's a 'Toy Story'" I get it! "With the approaching release of Disney Infinity and incoming news of more play-sets (featuring Toy Story and Mickey no less..." Oh, now I get it!
@SkywardCrowbar I'm pretty sure the earliest we'll see it is Oct 6th, since Nintendo releases it's games on Sundays in the states. I hope it's not later than that.
"By chatting them up every day, bringing them presents and — strangely — breaking into their houses to sneak a peek inside their diaries, you can eventually build up their affection to the point that they join you in holy matrimony." So just like real life? lol.
But seriously I would definitely get this if I wasn't already wasting my life on Animal Crossing.
@Marshi Glad to hear I'm not alone out here. lol. I'm very excited about Splinter Cell and I think the extra touch screen features seem to be awesome. I like that he said they're not just there for the sake of being there as a gimmick but actually for the sake of good gameplay. Yeah local co-op with two screens would be awesome but not having online or being delayed would be way worse. But I guess people are going to complain no matter what.
I agree with him. I'd much rather not have local co-op than have it delayed while all the other consoles get it. Still hope it gets patched but either way looking forward to it. Spies vs Mercs is extremely fun.
Well hopefully local multiplayer can be patched. That'll probably depend on how many people buy the game. Either way, I'm pretty excited about this game.
Kinda funny how Batman doesn't have online and this doesn't have local. lol.
@SkywardLink98 Thanks! Signed! Like many others here, it's not so much that I care about the multiplayer, but that's a pretty huge feature to leave out especially since the system could handle it with no problem. It seems like so many people and even devs and publishers are still treating the Wii U like it's the Wii.
@Goginho If you don't like RPGs I don't know if you'd like EarthBound. It's fun and the atmosphere and humor is great but the fighting is very old school. You don't even see your characters. Anyway, I would definitely recommend the Mario & Luigi games because while they are RPGs, they also have a lot of action. When you select a command you don't just sit there and watch it happen. You have to time your button presses to do additional damage and when attacked there is always a way to dodge or lessen damage if you do it right. It's a little puzzle figuring out each enemy's pattern so you are very involved with each battle. Also they have great stories and are very funny.
Hey I posted a picture of the police saying kids should be playing Nintendo games too! Where are my props? lol. But anyway, I never played this game but was always intrigued by it. Am really enjoying it so far. I can see why it's such a classic.
I got excited about Dream Team till I realized I'm in America and we don't get it for over a month... I guess it's time you get to enjoy something before us for a change, you lucky Europeans. lol.
This actually seems about right to me. I remember being extremely disappointed in this game after the first two being amazing. The only mission that left any impression on me was the one where you steal the Imperial Shuttle they use in Jedi (that was this game, right?).
When the Wii came out, every game just tacked on waggle controls and we got a lot of bad games. The best Wii games are generally the ones that use the Wiimote here and there but don't over do it (Skyward Sword is of course an exception). It's better to have something that works than just throw in bad controls because you can.
@Philip_J_Reed Thank you! My biggest problem with TP is that it's just trying to be Ocarina 2.0 because so many people complained about Toon Link and sailing. I would love it if they made Zelda U however they wanted without worrying too much about the reception. Personally, I hope it uses the dual-screen in interesting ways.
ZombiU was the best use of the second screen I've seen on a console. If more games use the gamepad like that it will be great.
Unfortunately, most devs are just using it for a map and it's often quite clunky. It surprises me that Nintendo hasn't been using it much in they're upcoming games. And I don't consider playing on the gamepad to be a selling point, unless you are in a family that fights over the TV all the time. lol.

Re: New Splinter Cell Blacklist Maps Creeping Onto Wii U
Nice that it's coming to Wii U, though I never like paying for new maps lol. I guess it's better than paying for skins.
