I guess I'm in the minority here but I actually really like this game. I was disappointed when I heard there would be no exp but honestly it works just fine. The stickers make the game feel different and the episodic nature really works well on a handheld. The humor is great. I've actually laughed out loud a number of times. Oh and the music = awesome. Anyway, I don't get why people insist on never being satisfied. Just enjoy the game. And besides, it's not like any of the paper mario games have been extremely deep RPGs to begin with.
@Jonisme I launched Nano Assault Neo (only around 50mb) off an sd card in an sd reader and i notcied it took a slightly longer time to start up but after that it ran well. I don't think it will take too long even for bigger games. Also, as I understand it, hard drives tend to slow down quite a bit once they become more than 50% full.
Yeah I don't know why people kept saying that was gonna happen. Nintendo never confirmed it. Well it'd be nice but I don't think it makes a big difference. I'd rather them work out a better way to play virtual console games on the Wii U.
I'm just sayin I imagine people would be more willing to spend $60 on a couple of old games rather than one. I know it wouldn't happen just sayin... A man can dream... A man can dream...
@TheDreamingHawk I thought the same thing. Why not just release the trilogy? People would be much more willing to buy it since it just came out a couple weeks ago, not last year. Same with Batman. Would sell a lot better if it had both games.
I enjoy the dlc for nsmb2. it's a little pricey but still fun. It's nice to hear that they haven't developed a bunch of levels and are just waiting to add them later and charge for them.
Um...That's my point. Why is it deluxe and tied to a version of the console instead of something that's available to everyone but is included in the deluxe package?
I really think people need to stop expecting an account based system. I would love it as well but I have very strong doubts it will happen. Being tied to a system is inconvenient but not the end of the world.
Also people seemed to not realize that when Nintendo said the Wii U would have accounts they were talking about different accounts on one system so each member of the family could have they're own settings and saves and everything.
Anyway, my whole point is instead of getting our hopes up always wishing for more, we can just enjoy what we have.
I still want to get the first one but since I just got Pokemon White 2 my RPG quota is kinda full. Would anyone recommend waiting till I'm done with Pokemon or are they different enough?
This is a big reason I come to this site more than any other. It seems like NintendoLife is much more fair in it's reporting and not just giving big games great reviews (see Twilight Princess review). I used to go to IGN but they have more ads then articles anymore.
This made me sad. And it makes me sad that I know I'll end up buying the Wii U anyway. "If Nintendo consoles go up in price in the future to accommodate higher standards in worker’s rights, but gamers vote with their wallets and say they won’t pay that much money, then we’ll only have ourselves to blame."
That last sentence is one people really need to think about instead of always demanding everything at the lowest possible price. Very good article.
@akabenjy I don't know 100% but from what I've read the pro controller won't be compatible with vc games. I hope that's wrong but I just wanted to give you a heads up.
I'd love a 3DS Pokemon. In fact I'm still not sure if I'm getting B/L2 just because I'm already giving Nintendo so much money this year, but it would have been a no brainer if it was 3DS.
Though I'm sure we'd all agree Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow on VC would more than make up for it
I think that is a good idea except for one thing: "Core" gamers will never buy anything called basic if there is a Deluxe version. lol I agree they should have had both colors available for both models. Personally I like the white console better so even though I'd like the Deluxe I'll settle for the Basic. (Plus they're the only ones left)
I think the difference between the consoles will be much less noticable. Besides First Party games I play everything on PC and while I have a good system, I certainly don't have an amazing setup but I can still play all the games that come out. Sometimes I have to play on "High" or "Medium" settings instead of "Ultra Super Awesome" but the game is still very playable and the difference doesn't detract (unless I want it to). I have a feeling it will be similar with the WiiU vs PS4/XBox
Man this makes me sad. Seems like US doesn't care all that much. At least around here in Pasadena. I called GameStop the other day about preordering a 3DS XL and she said I could but there wasn't a release date yet... lol. And when I asked about NSMB2 on sunday she said games only come out on tuesdays haha. Good ol' clueless GameStop employees.
What was that thing Reggie said about gamers never being satisfied? We had a month of great content and we even had sales, which is huge for Nintendo. Let's give it some time (at least more than a week) before we start bashing Nintendo for not giving us what we want when we want it.
I had never even heard of this but when I found out it was a Miyamoto project I tried it out and I have to say it's quite fantastic. It has lots of charm and I don't think the game is that frustrating. Restarting a room is easy enough and given that the Game Boy only had two buttons, I don't see how the control scheme could be any different. I personally think it deserves more than a 7, at least an 8. Good review though.

Re: Talking Point: The Nintendo Network ID's Next Big Step
Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't PS3 and 360 users have to pay to be able to put saves on the cloud and play them on another console?

Yeah I don't know why people kept saying that was gonna happen. Nintendo never confirmed it. Well it'd be nice but I don't think it makes a big difference. I'd rather them work out a better way to play virtual console games on the Wii U.

Mario uses B to jump...
But I agree, Epic Mickey was painful. I couldnt even finish the demo.

I still don't get why this is only available to deluxe owners and deluxe is only in black. Seems strange not to make this available to everyone

I still have a hard time understanding why this controller exists... Isn't it just a Wii U GamePad without the screen?

My body is ready for Wii U because Mario just screamed "INNNNNCREDIBLE!" at me.

Fractured Soul? You mean Fractured Life Force! It's scientific!
But seriously this looks pretty cool. And very intense.

I feel the same way about the 3ds and my L button was broken but works again.
Crazy lol.
