Re: Guess What? Michael Pachter Isn't a Fan of The Wii U

scrubbyscum999

Pachter, Pachter, Pachter. You say no one did well on the DS? I can't even fathom how you uttered such a thing. I mean you do know what a DS is right? If there is anything he deserves to be punished for, it's the utterance if that statement. I wonder why NL covers this guy. If anything everything he says the exact opposite comes true.

Re: Justin Bieber Surprises Just Dance 4 Fans

This guy is not a good musician. I don't care how nice he is, there are so many struggling musicians that would be more deserving to be famous now. Uh, I know I like Rock and Classical but mainstream music today is REALLY awful. Gaga, Bieber, LMFAO. Give me a bag I think I am going to be sick.

Re: Reggie: Time Spent on Rival Devices is a Missed Opportunity For Nintendo

scrubbyscum999

Eh, I have mixed feelings on whether Nintendo can become a place for general entertainment just because the competition are literally these super giant monsters like Microsoft, Apple, and Google. I am on a computer that is running Windows 7. Maybe they can do it but it's an uphill battle and they have started pretty late in the game. They might want to just make the effort and try to market themselves as a mainly gamer console that is still accessible to everybody.

Re: First Impressions: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate

scrubbyscum999

I love Castlevania, it's one of my favorite game series if not my second favorite. However, I am waiting on this one. I don't have full confidence because its not classic style or Metroidvania, it seems like a mix of both along with the 3D games. We all know how most fans feel about the 3D games (hint: they don't like them). I really hope this is good but if its not I am firmly going to be a fan that will promote a "back to the basics" movement.

Re: Pokémon Black and White 2 Designed for Dedicated Trainers

This is great! Too bad I still haven't played Black and White, even though I own both. I might just what till next generation. Pokemon is my favorite series but I am taking a break from it to explore other games. I also really didn't like the pokemon designs for 5th generation, about half of them were just straight bad.

Re: Two Tribes Founder: Wii U Could Become A "Casual Haven"

scrubbyscum999

@Silverbullet89 You receive 350 internets for your post. A concise way to say what many of us have been saying for a long time.

I think it is way too early to try to predict what Collin is predicting. It's a VERY possible prediction, but we don't know how Microsoft and Sony will market their consoles. We don't know how much more powerful they will be than the Wii U. We don't know whether they will be expensive. We do not know how rising game development prices will effect where various 3rd party games will be going. We do not know whether casuals will buy the Wii U. We don't know how company loyalty among fans will play out. Too many variables we don't know about to be confident in an opinion like that. One of the likely scenarios, but there are different scenarios and we don't even know how the major factors will play out.

If Nintendo can become a console that attracts the most casuals while still getting ports of all the major 3rd party games, it will win. But again, we do not know whether casuals will buy consoles. We do not know anything and will just have to wait and see how it will play out.

Re: Talking Point: Five Reasons to Buy a Wii U

scrubbyscum999

It's made by Nintendo. Since they always tend to make me pretty happy and are my favorite gaming company, I will definitely buy the Wii U at some point in the future. It's a new console created by Nintendo, that's the main reason why I will eventually get it. Also, The Sun kinda, you know, sucks. I am an American and know that.

Re: Talking Point: Are Wii U Games Going To Be Too Expensive?

scrubbyscum999

$10 more than the normal $50 top notch Wii game is pretty acceptable. I think the 3DS game prices should be a bit cheaper though, $30-35. It's not that big of a deal, especially since you can be getting up to 100s of hours of gameplay for some games. I do think there is too expensive, but I can live with these prices. I think they are pretty fair.

Re: Bayonetta 2 Dev: Wii U Exclusivity Isn't a Snub, It's About Reaching a Wider Audience

scrubbyscum999

People just want to see Nintendo fail. They are willing to say and do anything just so Nintendo can fail. Rather have a game they like not even exist just because it's on a system you don't own? Sure. They're many games I have not been able to get that I really wanted because they are on other systems I don't own or want. You know what I do, I live with it and move on. This is absolutely pathetic. I might get Bayonetta 2 just because of all the hate it is getting for being on the Big N's new system.

Re: Bayonetta 2 Will Be Exclusive to Wii U

scrubbyscum999

@blklightning21 There is always going to be people who are rooting for Nintendo to fail. They say Nintendo isn't hardcore enough, Nintendo gets this, they hate Nintendo for actually trying to make them happy. It's not like the control scheme is going to dumbed down, in fact it has the potential to be better. If they don't want to use the Pad there is always the pro controller. There are a ton of franchises I LOVE that releases games I want on systems I don't own, but I don't act like a 6 year old about it.

Re: Bayonetta 2 Will Be Exclusive to Wii U

scrubbyscum999

This is probably an important game announcement because the game was well received, it will be a mature game, and it is an exclusive for the Wii U when the first one was actually exclusive to 360/PS3. I don't know if I am really interested in it despite the good reviews though.

Re: Talking Point: The Importance of the Wii U Press Event

scrubbyscum999

All I am going to say is this, Nintendo really needs to show some real information on this console on Thursday. We really don't know barely anything about it. If they don't I feel it will fail to bring up hype during the holidays. Nintendo better have made a good system that can compete AND do a good conference Thursday. I am Nintendo fanboy but really, this is do or die time for Nintendo unless they want to get beat over the head by Microsoft and Sony. They can't rely as heavily on casuals as they did last time, they have smart phones and tablets.
