What a lucky coincidence. Just as I was looking for a puzzle game with several cooperating characters to play on my Switch, this review pops up. Now I'm getting the demo, no excuses.
Don't care for any of them, my Switch is for 1st party Nintendo titles and indies. But since Switch has ports of games 20 and even 30 years old, it would be nice to have here the original 5 Tomb Raider games from PS1. They were not PS1 exclusives, they all had PC versions and the first one started as Saturn exclusive.
And while I'm dreaming, 3D GTAs - 3, Sand Andreas and especially Vice City - would also be very welcome.
All portable windows PCs have and will have the same problem: windows games are meant to be played with a keyboard/mouse, not with a gamepad. So all such Switch wannabes would require existing games to be patched to support the gamepad, and few devs would do that. The Switch is out for 4 years, but there are still no clones that could be called "viable alternative", and for a good reason.
As a wise critic once said: "old-school nutters will like the traditionalist feel, 100% nutters will like taking photos of every monster, animal, and air molecule, and as I said, the speedrun nutters will love it as soon as they figure out how to control it with a Fisher-Price piano and an egg whisk".
In Russia there used to be a clone of the original Game&Watch with cartoon wolf instead of Mr. Game&Watch, which was a cult classic because rare and expensive for the day. There also was a rumor that if one gets 1000 points score, the device will show a cartoon (obviously false). I think I'll buy this one, show to someone and say "guys, I got a 1000 score and look what it does after this!"
No thanks, I'll stick to my Switch. It may have less horsepower but at least it has games which are more than just "press forward to continue" dressed in pretty shaders.
#1 Ok, so Nintendo hates Zelda CDi games' guts, HOWEVER Link's description in Super Smash Bros Ultimate says his name was in 5(!) games, "the last one is a bit hard to remember" as the quote goes. And because I remembered that description, I messed up #1

@nessisonett same thing. As a kid I also tried creating games in Flash and even remade Atari's Asteroids.
Re: Mini Review: Colossus Down - A Neat Concept Squandered By Bland Gameplay
It looks like a typical Flash game, has a premise of a typical Flash game and gonna age like a typical Flash game, especially Trump bit.
