Re: The Pokémon Creative Team Has Been "Through A Lot" With Angry Fan Feedback

@Chunkboi79 that was probably a difficult decision on the develoment team. To me, pokemon games should have 200 pokemon at the most, to allow the team to make the gameplay aspect excellent. The introduction of new pokemon with "generation" nas new starters became unsustainable over time and a nightmare for the development team.

I don't think the graphics were the problem with Sword and Shield, Pokemon was never about graphics, it was about feeling like going on and adventure and getting lost in a continent while collecting and training companions. And they based the animations on the previous games and improved them - that's how animation works.

Sword and Shield was bad because it was incredibly linear, there were no mazes in caves or complex routing, and the gameplay in the wild area feels a bit off. The story isn't the best either. But those are just my opinions.

To me, if they made the game like the remake of Links Awakening (graphically), very polished but with 2d perspective (not these Diamond and Pearl remakes which I don't think look good), it would be better.

On one hand we criticize companies for crunching their employees to working insanely overtime.

On the other, we want Pokemon Company to make a game with over 900 tridimensional models, both in battle and on the wild, with multiple combinations of moves, to look like Breath of the Wild.

We can't have both things.

In time: Nintendo is not the owner of Pokemon IP, that ownership is divided with The Pokemon Company, so it is not the sole responsible for decision making.
