Yeah, and we will still be dependent on Discord solutions to play properly. I don't get how they didn't make voice chat communication a priority addition for this game
@Inaroomalone Switch consistently outsells PS4 and now PS5 in the US...
But for Europe, Sony was always very strong there, they invest very heavily in marketing in that region since the PS1 era. But Switch is doing very well in Europe, if you compare it to other Nintendo hardware and Xbox
@Chunkboi79 that was probably a difficult decision on the develoment team. To me, pokemon games should have 200 pokemon at the most, to allow the team to make the gameplay aspect excellent. The introduction of new pokemon with "generation" nas new starters became unsustainable over time and a nightmare for the development team.
I don't think the graphics were the problem with Sword and Shield, Pokemon was never about graphics, it was about feeling like going on and adventure and getting lost in a continent while collecting and training companions. And they based the animations on the previous games and improved them - that's how animation works.
Sword and Shield was bad because it was incredibly linear, there were no mazes in caves or complex routing, and the gameplay in the wild area feels a bit off. The story isn't the best either. But those are just my opinions.
To me, if they made the game like the remake of Links Awakening (graphically), very polished but with 2d perspective (not these Diamond and Pearl remakes which I don't think look good), it would be better.
On one hand we criticize companies for crunching their employees to working insanely overtime.
On the other, we want Pokemon Company to make a game with over 900 tridimensional models, both in battle and on the wild, with multiple combinations of moves, to look like Breath of the Wild.
We can't have both things.
In time: Nintendo is not the owner of Pokemon IP, that ownership is divided with The Pokemon Company, so it is not the sole responsible for decision making.
Including the graphics in the Cons column is completely out of place in my opinion - this is among the most impressive graphics you'll ever see on the nintendo switch - should be on the Pros column, honestly. This is the absolute benchmark in terms of ports to switch.

Re: Nintendo To Invest Huge Sums In Game Development And Online Infrastructure
@NintendoKnight you do know that they WILL invest. So the improvement is in the future. Your comment makes no sense.
Re: Ace Attorney Fans Voted On Their Favourite Characters And Cases - Do You Agree?
@nessisonett but its so underrated! extremely sad outcome as well, I really liked it. And its about the biggest impression
Love how Larry Butz is the favorite client as well
Original 3 Phoenix Wright games were so much fun
Re: Random: This Working Replica Of Pokémon Legends: Arceus Took Two Weeks To Make
Let's be real guys, that "two weeks to make" replica looks like garbage. It does not look the same and definitely doesn't look better.
I'm not saying Pokemon Arceus looks incredible, but that replica looks terrible.

There are ALREADY graphics comparison online, and it looks excellent - I'm purchasing right away
Re: "Nintendo Isn't That Smart": Pachter Says Nintendo Should Scrap Switch And 'Only Have Switch Lite'
He certainly knows a lot about the gaming industry, but he has very limited business sense. He is more like a blogger than a business opinion.
Re: Poll: What's The Best 3D Sonic Game?
Sonic Forces would be acceptable if the physics on the 2d stages weren't so abysmal

Re: New Nintendo Infographic Shows Exciting Indies Coming To Switch In 2020 And Beyond
Will pick up Silksong, but I'm losing faith on its release, we had no new information for a long time now. It's obviously the heavier title here.
Re: The Nintendo Switch Is Officially Launching In Brazil
Wonder what will be the operation model, if they're just going to centralize imports and provide with maintenance.
Seems prohibitive for nintendo to operate in a country without a manufacturing footprint and the tax structure Brazil has
