So ready for this game! This and smash have me set for the fall.

I am slightly disappointed by the less than amazing graphics, but ill deal.

is this game worth the $15 price tag? looks pretty awesome but I'm on the fence

Kit is really adorable but I can't help but get bored by half of the Nintendo Minute episodes. Nontheless I watch em!

From personal experience doing concept art for student projects:
A lot of concept artists are of course heavily inspired by the video games they love, so he probably did this as a personal portfolio piece almost liken to that of a fan art piece, just so he could add it to his portfolio. If he is looking to get hired he can't show a portfolio of "unannounced projects" so he probably had to make some "theoretical" concepts just to show his skill, as he probably is not allowed to show most of his work.

This game has so much potential! Just think about all the possible pokemon and their move sets! I could see it becoming a serious fighting game, rivaling street fighter even!

Have you ever seen the prices of anime figurines (aka Nendoroids?) they are crazy expensive, about $40 each.

I saw the Amiibos in person and have to say they are beautifully made, and very high quality. I am comfortable paying $13. Probably will get about 3 to start out with. If you guys are the type to have to buy all of them well sorry but thats how they get you! Its not about spending $200 to buy all of them its about getting your favorite character(s)

So this character looks OP as F----. 4 different battle modes? Sword character? Long range? Looks like most marth mains and gonna switch over.

the small one has a .3in larger screen size. which if noticeable then ill just upgrade to that. i just have bad eyesight and don't want to have to wear glasses so i may get the xl version as planned. the faceplates doe!

This is such a smart idea I'm laughing at how long into the 3DS's life it has taken for them to think this up.

i have the original 3DS, and was planning on getting the New XL, but i might get the new 3DS as it has at least a tiny bit larger screen and these look so beautiful

As for the DLC, I just cannot see Snake returning, nor the Chorus men being included. If the ice climbers (2 characters) is hard enough, how will 3 units work?

Thank you for this detailed explanation of this fiasco. Its causing a major stir (mostly negative IMO) would have loved to see the reveal the Sakurai way. I personally see the DLC list as b.s however. I'm starting to think this leaker has an incomplete version of the game, with certain characters being a day 1 update.

@IxC Yes he did say there would be no DLC, there shouldn't be things in the game only certain people have. So I think if these characters are going to be added late it will just be an update, not paid DLC.

What's the chance of a 3DS XL edition? I'm curious cuz ill get the smash bros one instead if not.

I really enjoyed dragon quest IX for DS, and this looks to have a lot better graphics and extras.

The wii u version has top notch graphics. The 3DS does not.

I want these so bad! I just want them as decorations! The pikachu and kirby as well as samus were exceptionally well done and very smooth. I also hope there is a ness one. UGH ITS GONNA COST ME SO MUCH!!!

I'm disappointed in the design. I had imagined a black or white 3DS with a red or blue smash logo. I WAS WAITING FOR THIS.

i know people have mixed feelings on remakes, but I'm a huge zelda fan and Majora's Mask is one I missed. It will be a new game for me! SO I HOPE ITS GONNA BE SOON! Or I may have to get something off the shop

Exactly! As for the best characters in smash, its all up to Sakurai, who loves kirby and kid icarus, as well as being a huge fan of metroid series. So obviously those characters are going to be fairly good. His bias has always given his characters the upper hand. But seriously the pro players are all talk.

I live in San Diego and waited in line for about 3 and a half hours and didn't get to play the WiiU version. I resorted to cutting (sorry folks) to play the 3DS version, which was sooooo LAGGY that our 2 minute match took about 5 minutes, and was all around a disaster...

But the "hardcore" gamers in line were priceless. "They better have fox's 1 frame shine!...etc." and they didn't even own a wii u or 3ds so i didn't really understand why they would wait in line in the first place.

I loved the nintendo treehouse because they really got into the grit of the games, especially for smash. i feel like i actually know what the games are like versus seeing the trailers and previews.

The only point of using sableye is to troll by burning your opponents pokemon with really high speed, and then switching out, then using destiny bond.

if every person online starts hopping around constantly then I'm gonna have to ask for a patch...it just doesn't look right.

However, I do use hopping if i end up on the grass or dirt, it lets you get onto the track faster because there is less drag.

@Zed101 If you hate items (which can be frustrating at times) You can play in the online tournaments that have the rules set to no items.

Does that number include E-shop downloads? I hope mine counted!

Wow I'm kinda surprised by all the hate for Lindsey Sterling! Although I could see some people not enjoying it, I always find the exotic nature locals to be really fun and and a beautiful backdrop. She does seem to be overly "sugary" and pixie-ish, but it doesn't bother me.
She seems to have a lot of fans, her album was #1 on iTunes in the US when it came out a few weeks ago. I love how people equate being successful in the entertainment industry to selling out. They kinda go hand in hand.

Although shrine runners on the DS was the bomb.

All i know is that I would prefer a 3Ds with 720p on a 3dsxl size screen from the get go, with a thinner profile. It would then plug into the home base to play on the tv.

Nintendo has always done better at handhelds. Just look at the japanese market, they always go for the portable system. I see cross play being a big part of it.
