Oooo I was wondering how they would handle scrolling lists without a mouse wheel, it looks like the joystick is the perfect substitute or even better? That's neat!
@The_BAAD_Man I think it's the OG DKC Visual Asthetic combined with Sonic. Personally I dig, it was very soothing to watch. Reminds me of Toe Jam and Earl 2 as well.
Apple TV has its place among the greats like HBO. Very very good content including: Severance, Ted Lasso, The Greatest Beer Run Ever and more. Would highly recommend. Looking forward to this! :3
@westman98 @westman98 YES!!! Agreed, the standards are so high now, and yet there seem to be more complaints than ever. We have been spoiled, and you don't realize until you try to make something for yourself. You will be very humbled when you realize how overwhelming it is.
Thank you for this, as someone who has worked in a very similar field of animation, it often isn't up to us creators to produce the quality of work that we want to. There are frequently very tight timelines and constraints, and if we go above and beyond to deliver early we just get more work piled on with no rest. It is very easy to burn out in these fields and we really need to protect ourselves to have any hope in making it to the end of a development cycle. And once we do there may be little reward or pay off for doing so making it difficult to keep going. Especially when all we receive is criticism; that doesn't help anything.
This was a delightful video I must say. Love the Augus T on the background monitors and how you snuck Steam World Dig 2's overworld theme in. A perfectly brilliant atmosphere to dig into some decent looking titles ^___^.
I got this one on PC and was playing with a gamepad initially but found it impossible to progress, switched to mouse and keyboard and had an AHA moment. This game demands perfect accuracy or you... die. Mouse and keyboard makes a huge difference.
This was my brother and I's jam when we were little along with Lost Vikings; both had legendary music and style. Just strolling around discovering all the funky weirdness of this game was amazing and it gets pretty damn challenging in the later stages, not to mention the feeling of "togetherness".
My brother and I recently replayed it on PS4 and 100%'d all the achievements - good times!
Both the 1st and 2nd were great, but I really enjoyed the 1st one (same creators/style as original Xcom I believe). Tot's backed this on Kickstarter. Tomorrow is it mang!!! <3<3<3
Another vote for Masters of Doom! (https://www.amazon.com/Masters-Doom-Created-Transformed-Culture/dp/0812972155) I absolutely loved this book and highly recommend it. It did a great job of capturing the Renaissance of video games and the characters behind them. There's also a funny anecdote about Id software replicating Super Mario bros on PC and their attempt to work for Nintendo doing ports! Needless to say it didn't happen and their port instead turned into Captain Keen! Good times .
@diwdiws 100% agreed, Minecraft was always a work in progress and in gamers hands from the inception. It wouldn't have worked without the internet or community surrounding it.
A new 2D Metroid would be huge - it's been a while!
The staples like Mario Kart and Smash would be awesome too. I imagine you'll be able to bring a bunch of NX's together for a LAN party! (Gamecube had this concept in mind too)

Re: Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Players Are Reporting A Frustrating Soft-Lock Glitch
Saw this on reddit, the glitch seems to be caused by the new quick save system.
FIX: if you go back to a bird statue and create a new save and reload it, it resolves the issue.

Re: Review: ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove - A '90s Throwback That Might Be Too Random For Some
@khululy Good call!!!!! That would be amazing! I played that game over and over when I was little (considering how damn hard and unforgiving it was)
