YES!!! Agreed, the standards are so high now, and yet there seem to be more complaints than ever. We have been spoiled, and you don't realize until you try to make something for yourself. You will be very humbled when you realize how overwhelming it is.

Thank you for this, as someone who has worked in a very similar field of animation, it often isn't up to us creators to produce the quality of work that we want to. There are frequently very tight timelines and constraints, and if we go above and beyond to deliver early we just get more work piled on with no rest. It is very easy to burn out in these fields and we really need to protect ourselves to have any hope in making it to the end of a development cycle. And once we do there may be little reward or pay off for doing so making it difficult to keep going. Especially when all we receive is criticism; that doesn't help anything.

This was my brother and I's jam when we were little along with Lost Vikings; both had legendary music and style. Just strolling around discovering all the funky weirdness of this game was amazing and it gets pretty damn challenging in the later stages, not to mention the feeling of "togetherness".

My brother and I recently replayed it on PS4 and 100%'d all the achievements - good times!

Both the 1st and 2nd were great, but I really enjoyed the 1st one (same creators/style as original Xcom I believe). Tot's backed this on Kickstarter. Tomorrow is it mang!!! <3<3<3

Another vote for Masters of Doom! (https://www.amazon.com/Masters-Doom-Created-Transformed-Culture/dp/0812972155) I absolutely loved this book and highly recommend it. It did a great job of capturing the Renaissance of video games and the characters behind them. There's also a funny anecdote about Id software replicating Super Mario bros on PC and their attempt to work for Nintendo doing ports! Needless to say it didn't happen and their port instead turned into Captain Keen! Good times .
