@Paratope Thanks for coming here and clarifying things. I subscribed to be notified for the Kickstarter.
Regarding Early Access, I don't think it's a scam, if well done. i.e., having a relatively polished product but that will incorporate feedback quickly and move fast. Which I think is kinda hard for smaller teams. But it can work exceptionally well (think of Hades, for example).
Looking forward to your KS page with all the details
@OorWullie just FYI, based on their Steam page, it should release in about 2 months (March 1st, 2021).
But their Kickstarter is not live yet. It's been approved, but isn't live. Wondering what they need money for...we'll see soon. I just subscribed to get notified, just out of curiosity.
@cheesedude I already have the first two and played enough. I want something new, even if it's not perfect. That said, I'm not on a rush...so I'll likely wait to see reviews, and maybe wait a few weeks to see patches and the post-launch direction.
@cheesedude what I've seen are mostly "ok" reviews, in the 6-7 range. Not atrocious. But yeah, definitely not what I would have hoped...I still have some hope that they can improve the game quite a bit in the next few months. Already a patch with some additions coming next week if I understood correctly.
Is it a perfect game or a Diablo-killer? Of course not. But for more casual Diablo-style lovers, it feels decent. For hardcore gamers of the genre, definitely not a Diablo or Path of Exile killer.
Looking forward to hearing about the Switch version.
Reviews aren't so great so far, so I definitely lowered my (already low) expectations.
It feels like they were running out of time/money and had to get it out ASAP.
Apparently they made a lot of quick progress once they moved to the new name and business model...so I am crossing my fingers that they will continue at this pace and make it better in the next few months.
But at the same time, they COULD be low on cash, which could mean shrinking the team.
So, the store link is to the PC listing, which was released in 2019: https://share.metricswatch.com/L1up4YRK (unless it was edited since then; I just happen to still have the tab open).
And yeah, we agree, the announcement was back in January 2019...I guess we just might have a different definition of "last January". For me, it is the last time the calendar told me "January" as the month, which was January 2020.
Looking forward to playing CrossCode on my Switch!
Edit: I see that the link to the store was indeed edited to be the Xbox listing, and the new one shows July 8th. Exciting times!
@MoonKnight7 Right! It was not a portable device at all, but not a home console either. It was just...a failure! I remember trying it once just when it launched at friend's friend house. And not having any fun, besides the excitement of trying it. hahaha

@its_luke_c 630 base, 700 bundle with Mario Kart.

That release date: PERFECT 🤌
Re: 'Unlock The Cat', A Minimalist Block Puzzler, Slides Onto Switch This Week
@Yas and there has been a tabletop game for that for decades, called Rush Hour, IIRC.
This one looks nice. But, it's still the same I would assume?
Re: Top-Down Vehicle Combat Game Gearshifters Speeds Towards An October Switch Release
Wait…like Death Stranding? Typo? Death…Rally?
Re: PowerA Reveals Its Pro-Grade Switch Controller, Now Available For Pre-Order
HD rumble? NFC? Motion control? Can it boot the Switch?
At that price, it needs to tick all the boxes (except maybe the boot) and it feels like they forgot to mention a few things.
Definitely not pulling the trigger on this one. At least, not yet.
Vs the price of a Pro Controller or an 8bitdo SN30 Pro+ (or Pro 2, now)...this feels like a long shot hehe

Re: Indie Hit Spiritfarer Will Receive Three Major Updates This Year, All For Free
Does anyone know how is the Spiritfarer coop currently?
I was planning on playing with my wife, but seeing they are going to pimp it makes me doubt how good or bad it could be.

@Rhaoulos it has amazing Steam reviews.

Re: The "Relaxing" RPG Littlewood Is Making Its Big Debut On Switch Later This Month
I’ve been waiting for it since it originally came out on Steam and knew it was pending Nintendo’s approval.
Looking forward to give this guy my money!
This and Stardew Valley 1.5 update in the same month? I’m pretty stoked!
Re: Random: Cheap Clones Of NES LEGO Set Feature Duck Hunt, Contra, And Super Mario Bros

Just FYI, the official one has been back in stock for a few days.

It originally launched as an Early Access in...2017! On their Steam page, there is a few reviews from back then.

Does anyone know if this fixes some of the many performance issues on the Switch?
Re: "Nintendo Isn't That Smart": Pachter Says Nintendo Should Scrap Switch And 'Only Have Switch Lite'
I would say I play about 50/50 and this is a must for me.
What a bad analyst that can't read the market. Go home, you're drunk hehe
If we had seen the Lite massively overtake the sales, then maybe he could be somewhat right...but I didn't see those numbers.

Just to be clear, those are all just theories.
Hoping I am wrong
Re: Torchlight III Confirmed For Launch On Nintendo Switch Next Week
@GrantM3 it is not a F2P anymore. They changed the business model and branding to reflect that. It is now a buy-once game.
Re: Indivisible And Skullgirls Studio Lab Zero Lays Off Remaining Workforce
So, if we buy this game...who owns the IP and makes money? Are we giving money to this guy?
I was interested in buying it...but honestly, I don't want to give money to this guy.
Anyone knows?
Re: Review: Struggling - One Of The Most Aptly-Named Video Games We've Ever Played
It seems to be very polarising as I have seen a 3.5/10 somewhere else...but also a 9/10 and 4.5/5!
Re: Turn-Based RPG Crown Trick To Launch On Switch This Year
Do we know if there will be some sort of meta/permanent progression?

Oh, and the Microsoft Store does not line up with the date: it has a release date of 6/9/2019...
Re: It Looks Like CrossCode Will Finally Be Released On The Switch Next Month
Just FYI Nintendo Life, it was not announced LAST January, but the one before...2019!
Re: Have You Spotted The Switch eShop's New Sales Filter?
@flawse I don't even buy on the eShop app directly, but always online.
DekuDeals -> web eshop -> success.
Not saying you should do like me, but the eShop is a horrible experience on the Switch. It is soooo slow.
Re: Have You Spotted The Switch eShop's New Sales Filter?
Honestly, they have a long way before catching up DekuDeals. I don’t think they will ever catch up, besides the fact it is native vs web-only.
Re: Rogue Heroes: Ruins Of Tasos Brings Four-Player Dungeon Crawling To Switch This Summer

Mucho Tacos! 🌮
(The name will be a bit confusing maybe but hey, my wallet is ready!)

Re: Bandai Namco Hosts Huge Nintendo Switch eShop Sale, Up To 75% Off Top Games
@Incarna just curious: why do you regret buying Ni No Kuni & Tales of Vesperia?
Re: Bandai Namco Hosts Huge Nintendo Switch eShop Sale, Up To 75% Off Top Games
@Bosh_Factory DekuDeals is the best companion to any Switch owner! Love it. A lot.
Re: Bandai Namco Hosts Huge Nintendo Switch eShop Sale, Up To 75% Off Top Games
Ni no Kuni or Tales of Vesperia? That is the question.
Re: "Intense" Cyberpunk Roguelite Danger Scavenger Revealed For Nintendo Switch
Characters seems to have a borderlands-like style. Looks fun, at first!
Do we know if there will be permanent upgrades or unlockables, Ã la Dead Cells?

Re: Video: Check Out Darksiders Genesis' New Creature Core System
@suikoden it looks like a Diablo game a bit due to the top-down camera but plays like a Darksiders. They addressed that in some interviews.
It's looking sooo good!

@Aaronnnnn from what I understand, at most 32GB as it all fits on a cartridge, and this is the maximum size of a Switch cartridge AFAIK.

@NintendoByNature looking forward to seeing reviews of Pine. Not sure yet if it's for me.
