Re: PowerA Reveals Its Pro-Grade Switch Controller, Now Available For Pre-Order

jipiboily

HD rumble? NFC? Motion control? Can it boot the Switch?

At that price, it needs to tick all the boxes (except maybe the boot) and it feels like they forgot to mention a few things.

Definitely not pulling the trigger on this one. At least, not yet.

Vs the price of a Pro Controller or an 8bitdo SN30 Pro+ (or Pro 2, now)...this feels like a long shot hehe

Re: Ambitious Open-World RPG Skyclimbers Is Coming To Switch, Subject To Crowdfunding Success

@Paratope Thanks for coming here and clarifying things. I subscribed to be notified for the Kickstarter.

Regarding Early Access, I don't think it's a scam, if well done. i.e., having a relatively polished product but that will incorporate feedback quickly and move fast. Which I think is kinda hard for smaller teams. But it can work exceptionally well (think of Hades, for example).

Looking forward to your KS page with all the details

Re: Torchlight III Arrives On Switch Today, Here's The Launch Trailer

jipiboily

@cheesedude what I've seen are mostly "ok" reviews, in the 6-7 range. Not atrocious. But yeah, definitely not what I would have hoped...I still have some hope that they can improve the game quite a bit in the next few months. Already a patch with some additions coming next week if I understood correctly.

Is it a perfect game or a Diablo-killer? Of course not. But for more casual Diablo-style lovers, it feels decent. For hardcore gamers of the genre, definitely not a Diablo or Path of Exile killer.

Looking forward to hearing about the Switch version.

Re: Torchlight III Confirmed For Launch On Nintendo Switch Next Week

Reviews aren't so great so far, so I definitely lowered my (already low) expectations.

It feels like they were running out of time/money and had to get it out ASAP.

Apparently they made a lot of quick progress once they moved to the new name and business model...so I am crossing my fingers that they will continue at this pace and make it better in the next few months.

But at the same time, they COULD be low on cash, which could mean shrinking the team.

Just to be clear, those are all just theories.

Hoping I am wrong

Re: It Looks Like CrossCode Will Finally Be Released On The Switch Next Month

jipiboily

Hey @Liam_Doolan

So, the store link is to the PC listing, which was released in 2019: https://share.metricswatch.com/L1up4YRK (unless it was edited since then; I just happen to still have the tab open).

And yeah, we agree, the announcement was back in January 2019...I guess we just might have a different definition of "last January". For me, it is the last time the calendar told me "January" as the month, which was January 2020.

Looking forward to playing CrossCode on my Switch!

Edit: I see that the link to the store was indeed edited to be the Xbox listing, and the new one shows July 8th. Exciting times!
