The "new 3DS" titles are very interesting. Back then I remember the fanboy enthusiasm.. a new wave of great games to appear. And yep, I apologize for calling it a cheap rip off and slap in the face. This game will be available, on all platforms, you can imagine these days in households... perhaps your toaster wont run it, but Im sure theres something, even an old laptop, that will run it perfectly fine hooked up to ANY controller of your choice.

Is there any company or actually any news of whats coming to the switch apart these lame ports? SEGA never developed this in mind with the switch. No reason to have a Nintendo device to play this.

There are also many productive individuals, investing their time trying to maximize the switch experience of others. Some are even actively looking for a solution to the problem Nintendos wizards are struggling with. I actually take that back, there is no problem. Never was.

True that, Bro. Downplaying looks different. Its just true, its consistent with ANY NEW hardware they have launched. I remember, in the last century, when I got the SNES, left controller was not working, the AC adapter blew up and for some reason, they included a 8-bit cartridge of Super Mario instead of Super Mario World. Damn those messy launches.
And wow, before that, I unboxed the Gameboy, put in batteries and it blew up. We lost 3 firefighters that day.
One to remember for eternity was the N64 launch, what a MESS. First there was blood leaking out of the controller ports and then it was outputting only black/white colors.
Gamecube, dont get me started on that. Dead on arrival - literally. I preordered and Nintendo send me a DIY Box with all parts to construct it myself. Messy launch, but it happens with all of them.
Wii or Wii U? Bit better but due to the radioactive materials used in the launch version, may the those brave early adopters be remembered for ever.

The only thing that is literally out of line here is my favorite overpriced Nintendo gadget, the Virtual Boy. No launch issues whatsoever. Love 12 hours sessions on that - just so relaxing.

@itslukec Easy. I usually say I have 1-2-Switch at home and it works like a chick magnet. On weekends, I often host farmers frontier and Othello multiplayer parties, up to 2-3 hundred show up, usually people fed up and bored by GTA online.

@itslukec Yes, it was a great day. I got the Switch first and ....well, funny story, I put it up on Ebay 30minutes later. I wrote the ad on my smartphone on the way home, I put a buy-now price of 1200 and some happy hunter got it right away.
I went on a 2 day party-binge and still got cash left.... and then in 3-4 months I pick a switch up for 149 again.

I think its perfect. Its just that good. Other were expecting Nintendo to drop the price already after 4 weeks, but thats haters-stuff, I think it will do great and it does so far.

@SKTTR Exactly, Sir. Arc Systems Works is a bit like what Rockstar Games is for Sony, just on a smaller scale, but still very respectable. Very polished and no gliches. I just played their new Othello (I preordered it) and its just that good. No glitches which cant be really said about all next generation consoles. I had GTA5 crashing at least once in 3 months but Othello so far, flawless.

I would also never skip a game because of the looks of it and on top I have Nintendo Life to put things into perspective for me. Anyway, I was just refreshing my browser and I guess there was glitch on the site? Because for a brief moment I had already a glimpse at the upcoming review .. too bad I didnt catch the score, but knowing Arc Systems Works, I would say between 8 and 9 out of 10. Its not Zelda by description (IMO) but who knows, Othello came out of nowhere and it grabbed my attention too.

Shocking - all this disrespect for another splendid Arc System Works release.
The Frontier Farmer hit was a 7 out of 10, this only gets a 6 out of 10, but I think it will grow on you with time and hence I would rate it more a 8 out of 10. Its that good.
You can test all your consoles features ("you can easily pass a Joy-Con or even exclusively use the touchscreen") and invite more friends to your Farmer & Othello party nights because, as NintendoLife said, "Othello is a release that can certainly grab and hold the attention of those that like the core game or want a bit of relaxed multiplayer".
Imagine your friends, sitting there at home with a PS4 pad in hands, playing GTA 5 Online and the phone rings.
You go: "Yo, man, come over, I just got the new Othello boardgame for the switch. Its a BLAST"
Your friend goes: "No way, Dude!!! Is that the new Arc System Works release? Thats an exclusive, right?"
They will drop their pads and start running.

I know its early to call for any "Game of the Year" candidates, but perhaps Arc System Works could release another exclusive "Compilation" at the end of the year - with all hit titles. That sure would be a GOTY recommendation. NL is fully aware of that as they are hinting at it already:
"However, while it's interesting to see Arc System Works diversify itself, the title would be much more at home if it was included with a compilation of other tabletop games."

Nintendo Life, could you perhaps make a poll about it?

As I said, and its written above, its 7/10 and I highly recommend it for every new switch user. Dont understand why all of a sudden your putting down the quality. I for one just called more friends to come over, first for 1-2-Switch, then for Farmer Frontier.

Its really good, that good. I love farmville on facebook and all these generic free-to-play mobile building-simulations on android. Just when I thought there is nothing worth buying, there comes this gem out of nowhere.
I hope people dont get discouraged by the negative reviews all over - as low as 3/10 - cause its really that good.
Its one of these moments where you can finally have the reassurance and say to yourself "yep, money well invested, youre a real smart gaming fan" and its that moment where I think people will finally start noticing the Switch more and more. Its also alot of fun with friends (still having a blast with 1-2-Switch, its just so addicting) - there is no Multiplayer but just playing it in 3 with others giving instruction is like Multiplayer to me - and it delivers here.
