Had to rub my eyes to be sure the 5 out of 10 is real for a Nintendo game on here. I didnt expect it to score that low and I dont have it yet ..but still want to try. For what its worth, its a inverted world on NL today, Metacritics (out of 13 currently) scores it 69, ranging between 45 and 85. But yea, if its a poor mini game compilation (visually it looks nice), then hard to argue with 5.

Yes, thats a good attitude for it and I think thats one of many ways to start telling Nintendo its not the 80s anymore and force them to take their clients serious. For a long time their business approach to clients appeared to be that of parents and kids where the final word in on parents side. Zelda wont go away, its a timeless classic, from 8-bit up to now - Im pretty sure (for that I have no evidence) by feeling that Nintendo will start releasing a 2nd significantly updated run of the switch and to ensure they will, its good to tell them honestly when they mess up things as bad as they did. Same goes for their games, no more jokes like 1-2-Switch or this Bomberman Beta - especially when the hardware is overpriced. When they claim innovation inside overpriced hardware then I expect them to do more than porting mobile games, soda shaker emulation and holding on to 2-3 big 1st party releases a year (why a 300$ console then?). They shouldnt celebrate themselves like muppets with made-up weirdly connected records that they cant even memorize before giving a company speech ...they didnt sell any outstanding numbers. This is a show...their shares gained around 5%. Thats the graph from 1st to now.

The concern was towards the support of it. It should be made clear to companies demanding premium-prices that different stuff than ports is expected. Else it becomes again a sect-like situation where the hardcore Nintendofans will defend it to the end while all the rest jumps off (again) and Nintendo will pull the plug for the same reasons they did with the Wii U.

Had to rub my eyes to be sure the 5 out of 10 is real for a Nintendo game on here. I didnt expect it to score that low and I dont have it yet ..but still want to try. For what its worth, its a inverted world on NL today, Metacritics (out of 13 currently) scores it 69, ranging between 45 and 85.
But yea, if its a poor mini game compilation (visually it looks nice), then hard to argue with 5.
Makes you wonder what is going on at Nintendo when you have Bandai Namco and Camelot to develop a game for you and this is the result...

Yes, thats a good attitude for it and I think thats one of many ways to start telling Nintendo its not the 80s anymore and force them to take their clients serious. For a long time their business approach to clients appeared to be that of parents and kids where the final word in on parents side. Zelda wont go away, its a timeless classic, from 8-bit up to now - Im pretty sure (for that I have no evidence) by feeling that Nintendo will start releasing a 2nd significantly updated run of the switch and to ensure they will, its good to tell them honestly when they mess up things as bad as they did.
Same goes for their games, no more jokes like 1-2-Switch or this Bomberman Beta - especially when the hardware is overpriced. When they claim innovation inside overpriced hardware then I expect them to do more than porting mobile games, soda shaker emulation and holding on to 2-3 big 1st party releases a year (why a 300$ console then?).
They shouldnt celebrate themselves like muppets with made-up weirdly connected records that they cant even memorize before giving a company speech ...they didnt sell any outstanding numbers. This is a show...their shares gained around 5%. Thats the graph from 1st to now.
When you see that blue dot at the end moving (albeit) slowly down - wait a bit longer and the switches will be very cheap.

@roboshort Just to put this into perspective, XBox1 has sold one million within 24h of its launch, 2 million in its first 18 days and roughly 10 million within one year while all realistic prognostics dont exceed 6mio units for Nintendo in 2017 (5 is expected by most major outlets including forbes).

@MaSSiVeRiCaN In some ways the security aspects appear to be excuses because while the Wii and Wii U has a custom, closed-source OS, Nintendo is now back in the same boat with Sony on FreeBSD (for stability and , ironically, security).
Probably for hackers what the color red is for Matadors once they get through the security of the kernel. It took a while with the 3DS but then again...
Nintendo shouldnt waste too much time & resources on it, they wont invent something uncrackable. Same continues to happen with Sony/Xbox (FreeBSD/Windows).
They should take a look at their other security brainchild, the NES Mini ... the Sega games look and play nice on it

In the light of the new shortcomings, this appears to be some masterly crafted malicious masterplan by Nintendo.
Let all start playing Zelda, have them invest lots of hours ... then the screen scratches and we have the perfect hostage situation.
Instead of having to recall most complaints, they can be sure to get away fine. Meanwhile production costs fall even further in next runs and by the time people get bored with Zelda, usually the warranty already passed anyway

@buildz How am I jumping to conclusions, when you simply interpret "customized version" in your own way? Anyway, its still a mobile port with added features, I can agree on that if thats your line. Never doubted, else this disaster would have been even bigger.
The concern was towards the support of it. It should be made clear to companies demanding premium-prices that different stuff than ports is expected. Else it becomes again a sect-like situation where the hardcore Nintendofans will defend it to the end while all the rest jumps off (again) and Nintendo will pull the plug for the same reasons they did with the Wii U.
That FIFA 18 mobile port boosting sales comment was actually sarcasm - I think FIFA is a driving game for some consoles, but not its stripped-down-old-engine-form
