@stocko if you haven't learned by now, he absolutely is a child. Someone with the capacity of an adult would be investing their money in to something with actual returns for future planning - not video games and arguing with people on a message board that :
"whaaaa, don't release my game again - I am 3lit3 for owning it on it's original system and I want it to be worth selling on ebay in 20 years"
@SLIGEACH_EIRE that's some incredibly poor business planning on your part if you are investing in to a game (multiple copies) in hopes that they will have a future value and you are only to blame should they become "devalued" by the game receiving new life on other consoles.
For you to feel as if a game shouldn't be re-released as it would not retain a future monetary reimbursement is pretty stupid and shows how misaligned your ideas of what a "loyal fan" is. In your mind that game should only belong to it's original release so that someone could profit off of it.
That doesn't seem to go hand in hand with a "loyal fan" as it seems to go more in hand with a flipper/scalper/reseller.
Anywho, the game currently has a resell value of 20 bucks for the standard copy and 100+ for the limited sealed in package. You're rich.
It's hit or miss with them. I pre-ordered and purchased an Analogue NT a few years back and the communication leading up to the release was minimal. After I got my unit tho and I had a few questions/needed a firmware update - their response and action was flawless. Anytime I have emailed them about my unit since they have been great.
It might just be a case of the company getting bigger, faster than they anticipated.
@ANeonChicken apparently you were never a kid and played with/in cardboard boxes (different situation obviously) but I think we sometimes forget the excitement that kids can find in things.
I think a lot of you guys are all missing the point of this. This isn't aimed at 20+ year olds (but that doesn't mean they can't enjoy it! ). Everyone saying "pathetic" - you aren't the only core audience for Nintendo, I hope you understand that. This is honestly a pretty brilliant move on their part.
EA and Capcom just show how out of touch with the gaming market that they both are. The demand is there for more switch games. This is a time when people are very excited to be able to pick up new/different/properties only available on other consoles for their new system. I think what they need to asses is what types of games does the switch audience what to play (docked and on the go crowds) and make those games.
There may be an audience for rehashes of SF2 at 40.00 (it sold well apparently) but if you are going to judge your entire support on a pretty niche game (fifa - specific audience and SF2 - same thing) and expect crazy results just because - you are out of touch with reality.
Man I will be so salty if they don't bring these to the west. The ability to have 1-9 on a portable console is amazing. We already have the others...just release these too! From what I understand the 7 and 8 remakes sold well.
I have the original Analogue NT and it is absolutely amazing. The video and audio quality is stellar. It was definitely an expensive investment but so was my catalogue of games and this is definitely the best way to play them today.
I really hope they can make a Snes version some day.
it's so annoying that people complain about the prices of the Switch pro controller - yes it's 70.00 - we pay 5-10 less for the ps4 and x1 controllers - neither of which have a 40+ hour battery , motion controls and nfc support. Yes you can find the controllers on sale at this point and I sure hope you could 5 years after the systems release and eventually we will see sales prices on the pro controller too (maybe lol) but even if not the value you get from it greatly exceeds it's competitors.
@Spoony_Tech lol yeah I soon realized this. I tried soooo many times in handheld and couldn't do it - I switched to dock mode with my pro controller and did it first time
So after reading this (and not believing it) I went and looked at mine and low and behold it does have a soft bend on the right side of the system. I couldn't believe it. I have played with mine in dock mode maybe 10% of the time and the rest has been handheld.
I was feeling the same way! It's so weird tho, if you go back and read their original review of the game on the VC it scored a 6 lol - they didn't seem to impressed at the time
lol I love how people are complaining about them making good on all the free content they promised from their kickstarter instead of skipping it to make a new game.

Re: Rumour: Leaked EA Email Apparently Confirms January Nintendo Direct
@Malcrash don't let the developers that worked super hard to create a project suffer because of who they were able to convince to be their publisher.
Re: Hardware Review: 8Bitdo SN30 Pro Gamepad: The Best Switch Pro Controller?

Re: Book Review: The Unofficial NES/Famicom: A Visual Compendium
@AcridSkull So first you apparently reference no actual book "just that book" then you reference this one :
I'm taking about 'Playing with Power'.
How could I possibly be comparing this book to itself?
Now you're back to referencing just anything that's every been on kickstarter that was an nes book.
cool story.
Re: Book Review: The Unofficial NES/Famicom: A Visual Compendium
@AcridSkull
um,
"Looks lovely, much better than that Kickstarter book with the cheap paper."
Playing with power was never a kickstarter book...
Hence why you can understand my confusion at your comment.
Re: Book Review: The Unofficial NES/Famicom: A Visual Compendium
@AcridSkull this is the same as their kickstarter book. I own it and it's definitely not cheap paper.
