Re: Review: Sonic Generations (3DS)

hamispink

@47drift I think that would be a good idea. Especially because I was quite partial to the sonic advance games, as far as sonic games go.
Also, are you batman from minecraft awesome?

Re: Round Table: Remembering the Nintendo 64

hamispink

N64 multiplayer defines a large portion of my childhood. Everyday consisted of waking up late, playing with friends outside on a trampoline or bikes and such. After a few hours, go inside and break out the N64 with diddy kong racing battle mode or even better, in announcer voice SUPER SMASH BROTHERS! then of course go home when the sun starts to fall, eat, watch anime on toonami, then go back outside until bedtime(then stay up to some ungodly hour to watch adult swim).
And then repeat!

Re: Review: BIT.TRIP SAGA (3DS)

hamispink

@corbs WOW. . .first of all, I guess my memory is failing me, I remembered the boss with a plaid shirt and a stocking cap! Also, that frame-rate is near game-breaking. I can definitely understand why you gave it a seven, though I still think that the entire package is such a great experience that I would still give it an 8
Also in my first comment, I didn't mean that the two games shouldn't be compared, but that the review process likely didn't start at a perfect score, with one point taken off for every fault. Though what do I know?
I do have a feeling that the technical bugs could be a result of the fact that (as far as I know) gaijin games has only one programmer. That's a lot of work for one man to port 6 games over to a brand new console in a short amount of time.

Re: Review: BIT.TRIP SAGA (3DS)

hamispink

@Corbs I'm burning through the second world right now, I have noticed small little hiccups with 3d on, though you have me worried about the third world
I will be back to comment later tonight. . .as soon as I beat that darn lumberjack robot!

Re: Review: BIT.TRIP SAGA (3DS)

hamispink

I'm not sure how you do your reviews Corbie, but I doubt that you start at 10 and start marking down for any issue in the games. I am surprised that the experience was brought down enough to warrant a 7, but that wouldn't, and didn't stop me from getting the game for myself
I would personally give it an 8 because the experience is still great for me, though multiplayer will be missed

Re: Rumour: Monster Hunter Tri G To Be Revealed Next Week

hamispink

I would really like a Tri g to be released for 3DS. If the same game were to be released for vita and 3ds, then I would just get the vita version, but with different games, then I would gladly get both for the different experiences.
also, here's hoping for cross game play between wii and 3ds versions(should they actually come out )

Re: Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D

hamispink

I sure this will sadly be $40 while ps3 and 360 will get the hd collection with mgs 2, 3 and peace walker. nintendo doesn't understand that remakes should be budget titles, this is why I won't buy OoT or SF 64 on 3ds when I could get them both on wii VC for $20

Re: Rumour: Wii 2 to Cost $350, Support 3DTVs, Out in October

hamispink

I think this would be almost reasonable if it releases with 2 controllers bundled and new controllers can stay between 60-80 dollars. The implications for screens in the controller could be great for multiplayer games, but the cost of it if they only include 1 controller will completely turn me away. . .at least for a few years

Re: Iwata: 3DS and NGP will Appeal to Different Target Audiences

hamispink

I think its important to note that the NGP didn't steal the touch screen from nintendo(they stole it from apple)
I was extremely pumped for the 3ds after e3, but after seeing the NGP, I've almost forgotten about it. I was disappointed with my ds lite and almost never played it besides pokemon. I feel that Sony filled the void after the gameboy was discontinued with the psp, which is great with me.

Re: New Monster Hunter 3 Trailer Captured

hamispink

This is amazing, the only monsters I recognized were the rathian, and rathalos, I really hope that the online will be great and that the classic controller pro sees a U.S. release, I CANT WAIT!

Re: First Impressions: Melee! Pokemon Scramble

hamispink

I care about the first generation, the second is over all well made, then it goes down a very steep hill with very rare pokemon that make since, or aren't rip offs.
I am very interested in the game, but not sure.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Available on VC This Friday

hamispink

I broke out my old cart today, On brawl, I am the third best that I know at smash bros., but I am still champ on the classic
@ starfox, this isn't anything like melee, brawl is similar to melee, but this is a completely different game as far as multiplayer and control physics go.
It is better with the different physics IMO

Re: Super Smash Bros. Available on VC This Friday

hamispink

Thank you chicken
this is my favorite game because it has the best levels, more powerful attacks (the grab moves actually do damage) and the Items are the best of all of the games. the multiplayer is king, and the single player is pure fun.

P.S. Kirby has strong attacks on this game <(o_o)>FTW!!!

Re: Sony And Microsoft Suffering From Wii-nis Envy?

hamispink

I said it before, sony's controller is indeed a rip off of the wiimote, but there will ACTUALLY BE GAMES COMING OUT FOR THE CONSOLE!!!
I love my wii to death but the game selection is absolutely horendous.
I am a sony and nintendo fanboy, but I love my Ps3 much more than my wii because I have had very little reason to play the damn thing other than the virtual console.

Re: Miyamoto Unconcerned By Rival Motion Control Systems

hamispink

I do wonder what sony will do to let you move around while playing a game,
but with sony behind the wheel, we might actually see A GOOD GAME COME OUT MORE THAN ONCE A YEAR.
I love my wii but as for software, it is generally absolute crap.
there are not 10 retail games that I would buy on my wii.
I don't know if the sony wand will be any good, but I definately have very high expectations.

Re: Review: Guitar Hero Metallica (Wii)

hamispink

@MACHU
I got rock band a year ago, i practiced the drums and got really good, then i worked on real drums and now i am really good at them and i have a newfound interest in music, I am in a real band now and I wouldn't have had a chance if it weren't for REALLY FUN games like these.

Re: Sony to Reveal Copycat Motion Controller at E3?

hamispink

Im sorry, but have you seen the exclusive lineup for the ps3, it now towers over that of the 360, and is set to rise incredibly as time goes on.
The wii is a great console, but as for games, they have games that have already out, and mario and zelda "are coming", ive been hearing that for over a year now and i have seen nothing. its really annoying for me, a gamer who really wants nintendo to make me happy.
oh well, better go fire up my little big planet

Re: First Impressions: Monster Hunter 3 (Tri~)

hamispink

I cant wait for this game!!!!
I love the monster hunter freedom series on my psp
edit:Not locking onto the boss helps tremendously when you get into complicated fights, and that increases even more when you have a group of people to play with.
